Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 4:
11 And FATHER has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers. 12 And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the Holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the Body of Christ.
The fivefold ministries’ mandate is to bring forth believers to maturity so they will do their own works of ministry on behalf of the Kingdom. Many if not most churches have failed in this simple and straightforward mandate. They have produce pew warmers instead.
How many churches allow The Holy Spirit to guide the service now? In many churches you can’t even locate The Holy Spirit among the congregation. The service has turned into a temporary feel good time for most. Their mindset did not change and continues to be lukewarm at best.
13 These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness into the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one into a perfect man with the full dimensions of Spiritual maturity and fully developed into the abundance of Christ.
A lot of things that are happening in church are in the soulish realm, not the Spiritual realm else we all would attain the oneness of faith and unity. Instead, there are reported over 10,000 denominations in the U.S.
14 And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies. 15 But instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our Love as we express the Truth. All our direction and ministries will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into Him, the anointed Head of His Body, the church (the called out ones).
16 For His “body” has been formed in His image and is closely joined together and constantly connected as one. And every member has been given Divine gifts to contribute to the growth of all; and as these gifts operate effectively throughout the whole body, we are built up and made perfect in Love.
You can see why many Sons and Daughters have had to leave various congregations. Smith Wigglesworth stated that he left five different denominations after The Holy Spirit departed them. Why spend any time in a dead or lukewarm assembly? When you depart such assemblies, your so-called friends are revealed only as acquaintances. As long as you agreed with their doctrine, they embraced you. But once you departed, they cut ties with you. Agape Love was not found among them… sadly.
In looking back, I realized that some of those in leadership were not sent by The Holy Spirit, they just went based on their soulish understanding and desires. Why do you think so many “leave the ministry”?
Some churches hire accomplished musicians who are not saved to lead and/or participate in their music ministry. They produce an environment based on “soul power (aka emotion)” which is counterfeit to the power of The Holy Spirit.
This is similar to what is produced at worldly concerts with all the lights, smoke, and video enhancements. It is hard to hear that “still small voice” when you have to wear protective ear plugs in a service. Loud music does not get the attention of The Holy Spirit! Emotions are meant to add to your Spiritual experience, not replace it.
It is not all the fault of the fivefold ministry for they can’t make people mature and embrace their individual callings. Everyone who enters into an assembly has some level of accountability and responsibility. FATHER gave us the New Testament so nobody can claim ignorance over the long run.
The fivefold ministry is meant to provoke you to change resulting in a greater level of maturity. We must remember that we are called to be fruit inspectors and this also applies to the fivefold ministry. They are not off limits from inspection. If they are ineffective in producing the mandated results stated in the above passage, you must discern what your next action will be in order to stay in the Will of FATHER. You may be called to minister to those in charge or just simply leave. The Holy Spirit will direct you.
