Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 14

Monday, September 30th, 2024

The accuracy of The Old and New Testament depends entirely on The Holy Spirit!

Jesus never wrote a Word during His earthly ministry except for when He wrote on the ground concerning the woman caught in adultery (John 8:8).

Jesus revealed this Truth when He spoke in John chapter 14:

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Part of the ministry of The Holy Spirit is to bring all Spiritual Truth to our remembrance as He did with all the writers of Scripture.  Moses recorded the first five Books of the Bible.  The Holy Spirit imparted the Truth and the facts of Genesis to Moses.  After all, Moses did not physically observe most of what was recorded in Genesis.  Word of mouth by men is unreliable as well.

Paul recorded by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 12:

1 Now concerning Spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

Paul clearly states that believers can be ignorant of the nine gifts of The Holy Spirit listed in this chapter.

2 For you know full well that when you were unbelievers you were often led astray in one way or another by your worship of idols, which are incapable of talking with you.

Idols are incapable of ministry of any type.  Why would one worship such idols?  This is simply a ploy by the adversary to deceive the ignorant.

Now Jesus qualifies who is moved by The Holy Spirit by assessing their words concerning Jesus Christ:

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

Paul now lists nine gifts to be used in public ministry by those who are anointed to operate in such gifts.  All nine originate from The Holy Spirit to profit all.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

The nine gifts:

8 for to one is given the Word of Wisdom through the Spirit,

to another the Word of knowledge through the same Spirit,

9 to another faith by the same Spirit,

to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,

10 to another the working of miracles,

to another prophecy,

to another discerning of spirits,

to another different kinds of tongues,

to another the interpretation of tongues.

11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

I have personally observed all nine gifts in operation and have been used by The Holy Spirit in some.  Each gift is just as important as another.  The person used to manifest the gift is not to be exalted in any way.  However, some men and women who have been used have allowed pride to come forth resulting in dire consequences.

Wisdom wrote by THE SPIRIT in Proverbs chapter 16:

18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

In other Words, your boast becomes a prophecy of a future failure. The higher you lift yourself up in pride, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace.

What are the best gifts?  The ones that are needed at the time.  We should not attempt to rank gifts but should view all nine equally important.  The Holy Spirit can use any believer to manifest any gift if the believer is willing and has a heart to be led by THE SPIRIT.

Why do many churches fail to see these vital gifts operate in their services?  They limit The Holy Spirit partially or completely… out of ignorance.  All Scripture is inspired by The Holy Spirit, not just certain parts men want to embrace.  Don’t remove certain chapters or verses from Scripture simply because of ignorance and lack of understanding.

The Holy Spirit is here to complete the ministry of Jesus in us and through us!

Jesus completed His work at the cross. As for the training of the disciples, they were far from complete and prepared for ministering to the masses.  Except for John, the other disciples had dispersed when Jesus was crucified.  Peter had denied Christ three times even though he was given the revelation that Jesus was The Christ.

Luke wrote by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 1:

2 until the day in which Jesus was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

After His resurrection, Jesus spent forty days teaching the disciples about the Kingdom of GOD.  Even though they had spent 3 ½ years with Him, they required additional teaching.  However, Jesus knew that the 40 days of instruction would not be sufficient, they needed the ministry of The Holy Spirit to ensure their success.

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

Jesus went into great detail in the Gospel of John chapters 14, 15, and 16.

5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which The Father has put in His Own authority.

The disciples were still focused on Israel although Jesus had already disclosed that the whole world was to be the emphasis.

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

This supernatural event was meant to ensure that they would focus on His final Words.  It was vital that the disciples complied with Jesus’ Words to be assembled together and not depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of THE FATHER!

15 During this time Peter stood up among the 120 believers who were gathered and said,

16 “Fellow believers, the Scripture David prophesied by the Holy Spirit concerning Judas had to be fulfilled. Judas betrayed our Lord Jesus and led the mob to the garden to arrest Him.

17 He was one of us, and he was chosen to be an apostle just as we were.

18 He earned the wages of his sin, for he fell headfirst, and his belly split open, spilling his intestines on the ground.

19 Everyone in Jerusalem knows what happened to him. That’s why the field where he died is called in Aramaic ‘Haqel Dama,’ that is, ‘The Bloody Field.’

20 For it is written in the Psalms:

‘Let his house be deserted and become a wasteland. No one will live there.’

And also: ‘Let another take his ministry.’

Peter had been restored as a disciple and he spoke to the 120 believers, which included the disciples.  Why 120?  Did this represent the nations of the earth at the time of Christ?

Peter thought that they needed to replace Judas immediately even though they had not been instructed to do so.  Judas disciple, became an enemy of Christ.  Paul, an enemy, became a disciple of Christ.  I believe Paul to be the replacement for Judas, not Matthias who was not mentioned elsewhere in the Epistles.

2:1 On the day Pentecost was being fulfilled, all the disciples were gathered in one place.

2 Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the Heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear!

3 Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them.

4 They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit AND were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!

You cannot dispute the Divine Intent of Our Heavenly Father to further the ministry of Jesus Christ by providing The Holy Spirit Who indwelled the 120 WITH the evidence of speaking in Tongues.  This is the Absolute Truth, and the facts confirmed by indisputable evidence.  Why do people question such a Truth?

What are the qualities of being led by The Holy Spirit!

Jesus is the Perfect Example of having the qualities acceptable to The Holy Spirit.  He was not selfish, self-centered, grabbing and grasping and fighting; but somebody who has the nature of a lamb, who is willing to lay down his life in sacrifice for others.  Other attributes include purity, meekness, and gentleness.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 13:

4 For although Jesus was crucified as a “weakling,” now He lives robed with God’s power. And we also are “weak ones” in our co-crucifixion with Him, but now we live in God’s triumphant power together with Him, which is demonstrated on your behalf.  TPT

And in 1st Corinthians chapter 1:

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, Who became for us Wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-

31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”

I need not be concerned about the apparent superiority of those who are stronger, more intelligent, or cleverer.  I simply place my trust in The Holy Spirit to lead me through the obstacles placed before me in all situations.

The Beloved Disciple recorded by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 1:

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon Whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

3] And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

The dove was attracted to The Lamb knowing His attributes which would not inflict harm.  Jesus was not volatile and was not a man of war in His earthly ministry.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in 1st Chronicles chapter 28:

2 Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it. 3 But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My Name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’

4 However the LORD God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler. And of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.

5 And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the Kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

6 Now He said to me, ‘It is your son Solomon who shall build My House and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.

7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.’

The name Solomon means “peace” and is further described:

completeness, soundness, welfare, peace

completeness (in number)

safety, soundness (in body)

welfare, health, prosperity

peace, quiet, tranquility, contentment

peace, friendship: of human relationships, with God especially in covenant relationship

peace (from war)

We should expect the same attributes as Jesus when we become mature in being led by The Holy Spirit.  We will build The Kingdom on earth in peace, similar to Solomon in the Old Testament who was to be a type and shadow.

Being led by The Holy Spirit produces liberty!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 3:

13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away.

14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.

15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.

The Israelites’ minds were closed and hardened to THE SPIRIT and HIS Glory.  This veil is only lifted when we are joined to The Messiah and The Holy Spirit.

16 Nevertheless when one turns to The Lord, the veil is taken away.

17 Now The Lord is the Spirit; and where The Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

As verse 17 tells us, when Paul uses the term THE LORD, It refers to The Holy Spirit.  When we are led by The Holy Spirit, we walk in freedom and liberty in all areas.  We are no longer afraid of men or the consequences they attempt to bring forth over us.  We fear not.

It is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 118:

5 I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.

6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

7 The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.

8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.

9 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.

And Paul referenced this passage as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 13:

5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

6 So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my Helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

We are now in tumultuous times and if there was ever a time to embrace this Truth, it is now!  We are to be prepared, not scared of what is on the horizon as men contrive behind closed doors.  THE LORD knows their intent.

The only way to be blessed is to do what The Holy Spirit tells you to do.  You cannot rely on a “system” to follow.  Often in the past, The Holy Spirit would instruct me to do something that made no sense to me.  However, as I submitted to Him, I was unexpectedly blessed.  He expects me to live by faith in His Spoken Word and not rely on my own mental faculties.  Bringing down the walls of Jericho is an excellent example of faith in the Supernatural ways of GOD.

The Holy Spirit has a rich variety of ways of moving in our lives.  The secret of liberty is being sensitive to The Holy Spirit!

The Apostle Paul warned us about grieving The Holy Spirit!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 4:

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,

18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the Life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

In other Words, Paul relates to us with the Wisdom given directly to him from the Lord, we should not live like the unbelievers around us who walk in their empty delusions.  Their corrupted logic has been clouded because their hearts are so far from God—their blinded understanding and deep-seated moral darkness keeps them from the true knowledge of God. Because of spiritual apathy, they surrender their lives to lewdness, impurity, and sexual obsession.

Apathy is a lack of interest, emotion, or motivation that can affect a person’s behavior and ability to engage with the world around them in a spiritual sense.

20 But you have not so learned Christ,

21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the Truth is in Jesus:

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and Holiness.

25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak Truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.

26 “Be angry, and do not sin“: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

27 nor give place to the devil.

28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

Notice that we must act in putting away all sin and unrighteousness.  We are not to be passive, apathetic, and indifferent.  It takes our full commitment to correct our thoughts and actions.

It is critical for us to align ourselves with The Holy Spirit Who is The Personal Representative of GOD on earth.  Paul warns us:

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by Whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. *****

31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Now it’s time to be made new by every revelation that’s been given to you.  Be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with Him! For God has re-created you all over again in His perfect righteousness, and you now belong to Him in the realm of true Holiness.  So, discard every form of dishonesty and lying so that you will be known as one who always speaks the Truth, for we all belong to one another.

It is up to each of us to not grieve The Holy Spirit!  Do not limit His ministry in your life.

Before Stephen’s death, he spoke by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 7:

51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

Paul, by The Holy Spirit, also warned us in 1st Timothy chapter 4:

1 The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the true faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories.

2 Hypocritical liars will deceive many, and their consciences won’t bother them at all!

Do not depart from reliance on The Holy Spirit as many will in these last days!

Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 9

Wednesday, September 25th, 2024

Not only is GOD The Father Lord, not only is Jesus Christ The Lord, but The Holy Spirit is The Lord and the only Personal Representative of GOD on earth!

Jesus is Lord over the church, but The Holy Spirit is Lord IN THE CHURCH.  And the lordship of Jesus over the church is effective only insofar as The Holy Spirit is Lord in the church.

We cannot say “I’ve made Jesus Lord of my life” and set aside the Lordship of The Holy Spirit.  In other words, the Lordship of Jesus Christ is worked out through the Lordship of The Holy Spirit.  If a church really wants to have Jesus as Lord, that church must also have The Holy Spirit as Lord in the church!

It is vital that we see and understand this Truth.  This is a great problem in many churches today.  They confess Jesus as Lord but don’t make The Holy Spirit Lord in their life and in their meetings in the church.  All they have is a label, they don’t have the reality because the reality comes only by The Holy Spirit!

For a third time in these writings, Jesus Himself spoke of the importance of us relying on The Holy Spirit in our daily affairs, and this includes our gatherings in church.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever

17 the Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, bereaved, and helpless]; I will come [back] to you.  AMP

Once again, The Holy Spirit is the only authorized Representative of GOD on earth.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 12:

1 Now concerning Spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.

3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

4 It is the same Holy Spirit Who continues to distribute many different varieties of gifts.

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Holy Spirit.

5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

8]for to one is given the Word of Wisdom through the Spirit, to another the Word of Knowledge through the same Holy Spirit,

9 to another Faith by the same Holy Spirit, to another gifts of Healings by the same Holy Spirit,

10 to another the working of Miracles, to another Prophecy, to another Discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of Tongues, to another the interpretation of Tongues.

11 But one and the same Holy Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Paul details nine Gifts of The Holy Spirit meant to be operational in our lives AND in the church.  Why would any church reject such Gifts of The Holy Spirit?  I have personally seen all nine Gifts operate in church meetings.  The Holy Spirit has operated through me in some of those nine gifts in meetings over the years.  Am I special?  No, I simply acknowledge and submit to The Holy Spirit.  You have the same capacity as me to walk IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.

After Paul focused on the ministry of The Holy Spirit in the gatherings, he spoke of unconditional Agape Love in the next chapter.  These are not separate topics.  Think about it!

Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 8

The Holy Spirit is THE Personal Representative of GOD on earth!

The adversary’s main objective is to lead us away from Truth.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:

37 “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.

38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father.”

39 They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the Truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

41 You do the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father-God.”

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would Love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My Word.

44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no Truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

45 But because I tell the Truth, you do not believe Me.

46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?

47 He who is of God hears God’s Words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

Jesus emphatically stated who the devil is and what he promotes… lies!  This is why it is so important to not only study The Word but also be totally sensitive to The Holy Spirit and His Ministry of directing us to ALL TRUTH.  If you disregard the ministry of The Holy Spirit, you will be deceived by the devil, his minions, and his vessels of dishonor.

As I wrote yesterday, Jesus Himself spoke of the importance of us relying on The Holy Spirit in our daily affairs.

AMP

The Holy Spirit is the only authorized Representative of GOD on earth.  Why would you base your life on what men are saying which includes their bias, misunderstandings, and personal interpretations?  Even though I purpose to only write what The Holy Spirit is communicating to me, my writings should be tried and tested against what The Holy Spirit is saying to you.  If you do not get a witness of what I am writing, set it on a shelf and FATHER will confirm it to you through HIS SPIRIT later if it is True and accurate.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 3:

13 We are not like Moses, who used a veil to hide the glory to keep the Israelites from staring at him as it faded away.

14 Their minds were closed and hardened, for even to this day that same veil comes over their minds when they hear the Words of the former covenant. The veil has not yet been lifted from them, for it is only eliminated when one is joined to the Messiah.

15 So until now, whenever the Old Testament is being read, the same blinding comes over their hearts.

16 But the moment one turns to the Lord with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see.

17 Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever He is Lord, there is freedom.

18 We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into His Very Image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit.

I strongly recommend that you fully embrace verses 16 through 18 and dwell on them until you understand their vital importance to walking in the glorious transfiguration which is being revealed to us.

The Holy Spirit will lead us into all Truth!

The Holy Spirit is our Advocate!

An advocate is defined as a person who takes any action that speaks in favor of, recommends, argues for a cause, supports or defends, or pleads on behalf of others.

AMP

It is vital that we understand Who The Holy Spirit is in our individual lives.  We are not left to our own devices in dealing with adversity.  If we will truly rely on and trust in The Holy Spirit, He will counsel, strengthen, and stand by us in everyone and everything we confront.

25 “I have told you these things while I am still with you.

26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]

Are you at peace when circumstances present themselves before you?  If not, you should assess your trust in The Holy Spirit.

I was unexpectedly sued in a frivolous lawsuit several years ago involving a business transaction.  I had to hire a law firm to represent me.  My lawyer instructed me to keep absolutely quiet and she would represent me in dealing with the court.  I was livid due to the needless time and money required to defend myself.  However, I kept my mouth shut and allowed the expert advocate to represent my interests.  The judge dropped the suit and the person who brought the suit later apologized.  I forgave him.  Even when we purpose to live a problem-free life, adversity happens.

Jesus again spoke in John chapter 16:

7 But I tell you the Truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world about [the guilt of] sin [and the need for a Savior], and about righteousness, and about judgment:

9 about sin [and the true nature of it], because they do not believe in Me [and My message];

10 about righteousness [personal integrity and Godly character], because I am going to My Father and you will no longer see Me;

11 about judgment [the certainty of it], because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged and condemned.

12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now.

13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the Truth [full and complete Truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].

14 He will glorify and honor Me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you.

When you understand the importance of the ministry of The Holy Spirit, you will come to fully rely on Him in all that you do.  What would be the result if all believers on earth at this time fully relied on The Holy Spirit?  Would we be involved in endless wars?  Would our economy be in better shape?  Would there be a decrease in crime and hunger?  Can you see why the adversary is against the ministry of The Holy Spirit just as he was with Jesus when He walked the earth?

Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 6

The Holy Spirit is a Person of THE GODHEAD and not to be ignored!

Jesus spoke in John chapter 16:

5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’

6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the Truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Jesus was referencing The third Person of THE GODHEAD Who was yet to be sent to the earth for an earthly ministry accessible to all.  In essence, Jesus planted the “seed” on a limited basis, but The Holy Spirit was to minister The Gospel to all the earth without restriction, both Jew and Gentile alike.

8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;

11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all Truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

The Holy Spirit leads us to the Absolute Truth in all areas of our lives, without exception.  Jesus declared that when the Truth-giving Spirit comes, He will unveil the reality of every Truth within us. He won’t speak on His own, but only what He hears from the Father, and He will also reveal prophetically to you what is to come.

Everyone wants to know the future.  The Internet is full of those who give continuous predictions whether they are found to be true or false.  Why would anyone disregard the ministry of The Holy Spirit Who is The Spirit of Absolute Truth?  Why go through life blinded by what the world tries to predict?

People who trust in Jesus and His Words should fully embrace the Words He spoke in John chapter 16.  Why resist the help of The Holy Spirit in your everyday activities?  If The Holy Spirit is intimately involved in your daily activities, the adversary has no place in your walk.  You cannot be manipulated by his minions when you are being led by The Holy Spirit.  Can it be any clearer than this?

Jesus was leaving the earth so The Holy Spirit could come forth in further ministry and expansion of The Kingdom on earth.  Jesus said, “It is to your advantage that I go away”.  It was and is advantageous for us to fully embrace the ministry of The Holy Spirit in our individual lives.  We must not resist this God-given advantage spoken specifically to us by Jesus own Words!

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in his epistle, chapter 4:

5 Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover Who intensely desires to have more and more of us”?

6 But He continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, “God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”

7 So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will flee in agony.

8 Move your heart closer and closer to God, and He will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

How do you fully surrender to GOD?  Fully embrace the ministry of The Holy Spirit which allows you to come closer and closer to GOD!

Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 5

Saturday, September 21st, 2024

Our access to GOD THE FATHER is by way of The Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit is here on earth to connect us with Heaven.  If we disregard the ministry of The Holy Spirit, it is our loss.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 2:

22 In Whom you also are being built together for a Dwelling Place of God in the Holy Spirit.

In other Words, This means that God is transforming each one of you into the Holy of Holies, His Dwelling Place, through the power of the Holy Spirit living in you!

Our access to GOD is totally dependent on The Holy Spirit.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 3:

1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you?

2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of The Living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

The Holy Spirit of The Living GOD communicates to our hearts.  Why would we as believers not fully embrace the entire ministry of The Holy Spirit?

Paul continues:

4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God.

5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,

6 Who also made us sufficient as ministers of the New Covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives Life (zōopoieō).

The Greek word zōopoieō means: to produce alive, begat or bear living young,

to cause to live, make alive, give life, by spiritual power to arouse and invigorate,

to restore to life, to give increase of life: thus of physical life, of the Spirit, quickening as respects the Spirit, endued with new and greater powers of life.

The Holy Spirit is the Facilitator of all aspects of life here on earth.  He is the One Who hovered over the earth and initiated form to the void.  He initiated physical life over the entire creation.  Why do so many churches ignore His overall ministry on earth?

Paul continues:

7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,

8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.

11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

Moses received but a taste of THE SPIRIT when he communicated with GOD THE FATHER.  The Glory on his face was temporary because The Holy Spirit was yet to come in His fullness.

In other Words, the fading ministry came with a portion of glory, but now we embrace the unfading ministry of a permanent impartation of glory.  The Holy Spirit was sent to impart permanent glory if we will totally accept His ministry.  We are not meant to live with 2/3 Gospel, but instead the Full Gospel which includes the ministry of The Holy Spirit.

Paul recorded by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 12:

4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God Who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

8 for to one is given the Word of Wisdom through the Spirit,

to another the Word of knowledge through the same Spirit,

9 to another faith by the same Spirit,

to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,

10 to another the working of miracles,

to another prophecy,

to another discerning of spirits,

to another different kinds of tongues,

to another the interpretation of tongues.

11 But One and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

How many of you have seen the operations of The Holy Spirit listed above in a church service?  Most churches are so structured to appease their members, The Holy Spirit is not welcome to take over the service.  Members want to hurry and get to the local restaurant in time to eat and then watch the latest sports event… sadly.  It is disappointing for so many ministers to ignore such a vital ministry when they gather.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in James chapter 3:

1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

All of the fivefold ministry must heed this Word.  Failure to include the ministry of The Holy Spirit in Its totality will have consequences!  We should embrace the full access of GOD through the ministry of The Holy Spirit.
