Understanding The Ministries Of The Holy Spirit: Part 12

What are the qualities of being led by The Holy Spirit!

Jesus is the Perfect Example of having the qualities acceptable to The Holy Spirit.  He was not selfish, self-centered, grabbing and grasping and fighting; but somebody who has the nature of a lamb, who is willing to lay down his life in sacrifice for others.  Other attributes include purity, meekness, and gentleness.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 13:

4 For although Jesus was crucified as a “weakling,” now He lives robed with God’s power. And we also are “weak ones” in our co-crucifixion with Him, but now we live in God’s triumphant power together with Him, which is demonstrated on your behalf.  TPT

And in 1st Corinthians chapter 1:

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, Who became for us Wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-

31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”

I need not be concerned about the apparent superiority of those who are stronger, more intelligent, or cleverer.  I simply place my trust in The Holy Spirit to lead me through the obstacles placed before me in all situations.

The Beloved Disciple recorded by The Holy Spirit in John chapter 1:

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’

31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon Whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

3] And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

The dove was attracted to The Lamb knowing His attributes which would not inflict harm.  Jesus was not volatile and was not a man of war in His earthly ministry.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in 1st Chronicles chapter 28:

2 Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it. 3 But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My Name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’

4 However the LORD God of Israel chose me above all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever, for He has chosen Judah to be the ruler. And of the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father, He was pleased with me to make me king over all Israel.

5 And of all my sons (for the LORD has given me many sons) He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the Kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

6 Now He said to me, ‘It is your son Solomon who shall build My House and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.

7 Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.’

The name Solomon means “peace” and is further described:

completeness, soundness, welfare, peace

completeness (in number)

safety, soundness (in body)

welfare, health, prosperity

peace, quiet, tranquility, contentment

peace, friendship: of human relationships, with God especially in covenant relationship

peace (from war)

We should expect the same attributes as Jesus when we become mature in being led by The Holy Spirit.  We will build The Kingdom on earth in peace, similar to Solomon in the Old Testament who was to be a type and shadow.
