I have run across many men in the past who have promoted “get rich quick” schemes, including those in the ministry. The problem is that they want us to have faith in them and their “revelation” rather than have faith in GOD. Their soulish man contrives what appears to be a reasonable outcome based on somehow working the current Babylonian system. The results always tend to be the same, those on the front end make money and the vast majority lose money.
I have a file of my past bad investments as a reminder of my failure to listen to FATHER before I invested. Some of those investments were through men claiming to hear FATHER and were willing to share the expected rewards. When I look back at the process, I always comment to myself, “What was I thinking?”
We are to walk in Love and faith in HIM, not man. We can only do this by seeking the Kingdom as Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6:
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
FATHER may lead you to invest in a particular area and you will be richly blessed. However, it does not mean that the next opportunity in that particular area will be equally blessed. If HE does not tell you to invest again, you should do nothing. Each time we are confronted with situations requesting our resources, we should ask FATHER and never assume that HIS favor will continue. Our daily actions should be directed by FATHER. HE has given us The Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in all areas, especially our expenditures. It is important to be obedient in the little things we confront on a daily basis so that when something of greater magnitude confronts us, we will be at peace in the direction HE tells us to take.
If you have made a bad investment in the past thinking that it would somehow “fund the Gospel” but did never materialized, simply repent and move on. Chalk it up to another instance of your spiritual training. Disassociate yourself from the investment and don’t allow it to take up any more of your focus. Redirect that focus to building your faith solely in FATHER’S Word, not the enticing words of man.
