“Watch Out, Watch Out, It’s Coming Soon!”
Allow The Holy Spirit to minister the details to you.
I am traveling and in business meetings this week thus the writings will be intermittent.
Thank you for supporting this ministry. As a result of our giving to the poor, the following example was reported to me this last week:
Denise was able to purchase some needed items for kids this weekend. She got a new backpack for a student in need (that will be able to be used at UCO next year), some new shoes and socks for a student that had holes in their shoes, and some new outfits (shirts/sweatpants) for another student that was much needed.
Our Heavenly Father takes note when we help impoverished children for they have no ability to repay us so FATHER takes on that responsibility to bless us.
1 John 4:18 TPT
Love never brings fear, for fear is always related to punishment. But love’s perfection drives the fear of punishment far from our hearts. Whoever walks constantly afraid of punishment has not reached love’s perfection

The elect of the Lord who walk in the Spirit and are taught by the Spirit have little interest in dates and years, or in the passing of time. Our primary interest, yea, our all-consuming passion is to KNOW HIM in the fullness of Himself!
Those who love God and hear His voice by the Spirit are learning the blessed and holy truth that God’s purposes being worked out in the earth are not tied to dates on the calendar but to the spiritual growth and development within God’s called and separated people.
God’s calendar is both spiritual and experiential, not natural, physical, or carnal. It is that we might experience Christ in the perfection of His nature, in the fullness of His spirit and power, in the accomplishment of His purposes, and in the unveiling of His sonship glory, that the creation might behold HIM in the dawn of the New Day. Then everything and everyone will be blessed and quickened because of what He has wrought in us, not merely because a date on the calendar has arrived.
Only by the power of Christ raised up in us, the Light that He is, can anything anywhere be transformed by our hand. By His Light all darkness shall be dispelled. The arising of His glory, the dawning of His Day, is not a date to be calculated, but an attainment to be realized! It is the power of the voice of God, and the wonder of the work of God in His elect that alerts us to the reality of this Day — not dates, times, cycles, chronologies, prophecies, numbers, or calculations of any kind.
“YE are the light of the world,” Jesus declared to His disciples. THOSE WHO ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD ARE THE DAY OF THE LORD! Nothing could be plainer than that. We who are of the Day, and are not lovers or sleepers of the night, have a high heritage. “For ye were one time darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as sons of light” (Eph. 5:8). “While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be sons of light” (Jn. 12:36). “Ye are all the sons of light, and the sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of the darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others…” (I Thes. 5:5-6).
We who have received the love of the truth and have been made the light of the world have a higher calling. We have privileges, and duties to perform. We must be about our Father’s business! There must be a parting of the ways with all who walk in the night of sin, negativism, religious bondage and spiritual drunkenness. It is time to forsake the shame and error of former carnal and religious realms, and time to look up, time to arise and shine!
Brother Eby wrote:
In Bible usage, one thousand is a round, indefinite number. Psalm 50:10 states, “Every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.” Does that mean only a thousand? When you get to the second thousand hills do all the cattle belong to someone other than the Lord? In like manner, does the kingdom of Christ last a thousand years, or does it stand forever?
We know that the kingdom of Christ does not last only for a thousand years, for according to various scriptures Christ is the King of the ages, He is also the King eternal, and one scripture says that of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end! Do the sons of God reign with Christ for a thousand years, or do they reign throughout all ages until all things are subdued unto the Father, until creation is delivered from the bondage of corruption — meaning the last enemy is destroyed — and God is “all in all”?
Is the kingdom really an “age” at all — or is it not rather a LIVING POWER AND REALITY! “God keeps covenant and mercy unto a thousand generations,” says the prophet (Deut. 7:9). Does His mercy end there? “He commanded His word to a thousand generations” (Ps. 105:8). Does God’s word become void at the end of the thousand generations? It should be clear to any thinking mind that the thousand is not literal in any of these.
These expressions were intended to show the quality of God’s faithfulness in respect to any given promise or blessing, and not the precise length of the time involved. To put the emphasis on the time expression itself would defeat the very meaning and purpose of it, because if God is faithful to His covenant and His word time-wise for exactly a thousand generations, who would want to live in the time periods beyond that? They speak figuratively of an abiding principle and the unchanging character of God throughout all generations and ages!
The same is true with respect to the one thousand year binding of Satan. The symbol was meant to show how thoroughly, not how long, the defeat of Satan is!
Yes, many think Christ will come and reign for a thousand years — and He will, for one thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years, and that day is the Day of the Lord in your life. Individually, the thousand years is the symbol of a time in a person’s walk where he experiences the power and glory of ruling and reigning with Christ in his life. It is the symbol of an attainment and ministry whereby the authority and power of God’s Christ is expressed and revealed in and through us as sons of God. I know no words, be they many or few, that could more adequately establish that the term “thousand years” is the New Testament code-word for THE DAY OF THE LORD.
The thousand years is the symbol of a time in the life of a son of God where he experiences the absolute and total binding of Satan, so that Satan is not only cast out of his heavens, as seen in chapter twelve of the Revelation, but is now effectively bound in his earth, until he can say in all confidence with the firstborn Son of God, “The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
The thousand years is the symbol of that place in the life of a son of God where he experiences the power and glory of ruling and reigning with Christ. It is not a literal thousand years, it signifies an attainment of reality, maturity, and ministry whereby the authority and power of God’s Christ is revealed and expressed through us in its totality as the elect of God. It is dawning within us now, but must shine brighter and brighter until the full accomplishment and revelation of it.
When Satan is bound in your life one hundred percent, when Christ rules in you one hundred percent, the brightness of the Day of the Lord has reached its zenith within your life. Again — it is not a date on the calendar — it is reality in the spirit!
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We must bring into captivity every thought that exalts itself above the Word of GOD. The world is consistently spewing out words and images intending to exalt “self” and the flesh so that the recipients will submit to their idols. They want us to worship their idols and keep us in subjection. The mind, will, and emotions are attacked daily by the world’s devices.
Transforming our mind is spiritual warfare. Offering our body as a living sacrifice is spiritual warfare. FATHER is not being unreasonable when HE expects us to offer our body up to HIM for HIS use. That is what Holiness is all about, HIS ownership. Only when we fully submit to HIM can we be deemed Holy. How can we submit if we do not know HIS Divine Intent? How can we know HIS Divine Intent if we do not have the revelation of Agape Love?
If our mind is in tune with our spirit, our body has no power to override us in any area and it becomes a willing servant. The Word will become “first” nature in us and we will walk in full authority. When confronted by the world, we will no longer feel compelled to defend ourselves.
Jesus spoke in John chapter 4:
23 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and Truth.”
The hour has arrived and we are to worship HIM in Spirit and Truth. This is why I believe it is critical to pray in The Holy Spirit daily and keep the Truth before us as we are constantly bombarded by the lies propagated by the world.
We also must protect ourselves from those who would misdirect us with their teachings. These teachings may seem harmless but anything that directs our focus away from our maturing process of being full led by THE SPIRIT must be ignored. Why spend time on a path that leads nowhere? Many have taken such a path though unintended. Regrettably, I have thus I had to repent and get back to the basics. I failed to inspect the fruit of the ones teaching their “doctrine”. Uggh! Thankfully FATHER expressed HIS great grace and mercy opening my eyes to the misdirection and put me back on the right path. HE will do the same for you.
We must become uncompromising and no longer allow ourselves to entertain unfruitful teachings to be our focus. There are many who claim to be prophets but their track record says they are “false” prophets and they are accountable for leading the flock astray.
For decades I watched Christian TV “prophets” who claimed we were on the precipice of the immediate fulfillment of the Book of Revelation only to find that their timing had been off. How many times can they be wrong before the flock finally deems them false prophets and no longer watches and/or supports them?
FATHER speaks to us through our spirit, not our mind, and not our body. There are those who have promoted the use of physical aids such as crystals and kinesiology to “hear” from GOD. Jesus didn’t teach it nor did the disciples teach using such methods so we should not pursue such alternatives or we will open ourselves up to familiar spirits who are able to deceive those who submit to such devices. Those devices become idols.
We must get rid of everything that is keeping us from our growth in THE SPIRIT thus we must prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God in every teaching we expose ourselves to on a continual basis. The Holy Spirit will help us discern whether the teaching will be fruitful in our lives. Wouldn’t it be better to pray an extra thirty minutes in THE SPIRIT than to spend that time pursuing a fruitless teaching?
The authority you walk in is based on ownership… it is based on covenant. Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2 Corinthians chapter 6:
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters”,
Says the LORD Almighty.
Holiness is about ownership and relationship with Our Heavenly Father. We are to be set apart from the world and not allow ourselves to submit to the unclean. Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What friendship does God’s Temple have with demons? We must not allow ourselves to be unequally yoked with the world in any manner.
It is written by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 19:
11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Demons know your authority and they also know whether you realize and walk in that authority. In the above passage, the sons of Sceva were not believers but tried to walk in the authority of believers. The result… they were beat up badly. They had no authority over demons and as a result they suffered the consequences. They knew the Law of Moses for their father was a Jewish chief priest but that knowledge did not help them in dealing with the demon.
What was the result of their encounter? The demons admitted to the power and authority of the Name of Jesus thus the authority of the name of Jesus was exalted:
17 This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.
Sorcery is defined as magic; enchantment; witchcraft; divination be the assistance of evil spirits, or the power of commanding evil spirits. It is a work of the flesh and is included in Galatians chapter 5:
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
We are instructed to give preeminence to the Name of Jesus for He alone was worthy to be our sacrifice. We now have the same power and authority as He has when we walk as Sons and Daughters. As we renew our minds to this reality, our confidence will grow to the point of full maturity and we will not be hesitant when we come face to face with demons.
We must not let our mind’s soulish logic and reasoning hold has back from this important Truth.
In the Great Commission found in Mark chapter 16, Jesus spoke:
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
What was the first confirming sign of power and authority? We are to take authority over demons and cast them out of people. This authority is one aspect of authentication that the lost need to see which separates us from the religions of the world. Let us expect and embrace this power and authority given to us. There is a desperate world out there that needs us, now!
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 3:
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
We are meant to be strengthened in our inner man where Christ dwells. We need to be constantly using our faith so that the life of Christ will be released deep inside us and that the resting place of His Agape Love will become the very source and root of our life.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
How great is FATHER’S power? IT is above all we could ask or think so we must no longer think of limitation or restriction being an issue. That power is resident in us and needs to be moved from the passive state of “potential” to the active state of fruitfulness. That power from the Spirit realm is far above our mental capabilities so we should not attempt to use logic or reasoning to activate that power. We must yield ourselves to activate the power Paul reveals in the above passage.
To yield means: To comply with; to give way; not to oppose; to give place, as inferior in rank or excellence. To be a good receiver, we have to know FATHER is our Provider thus it is extremely important for us to dwell on HIS goodness and HIS other attributes every day. As we walk according to HIS directives, we are actively yielding to HIS power and authority. Our actions affirm our consistent willingness to yield thus our faith IN HIM is pleasing and allows HIS power to work through us in a greater way.
Since HIS power is in us, we don’t have to travel to some meeting to tap into HIS power. We simply need to enter in to our “Secret Place” as described in Psalm 91. Jesus referred to this Secret Place when He spoke in Matthew chapter 6:
5 “Whenever you pray, be sincere and not like the pretenders who love the attention they receive while praying before others in the meetings and on street corners. Believe me, they’ve already received in full their reward. 6 But whenever you pray, go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God, praying to him in secret. And your Father, who sees all you do, will reward you openly. 7 When you pray, there is no need to repeat empty phrases, praying like those who don’t know God, for they expect God to hear them because of their many words. 8 There is no need to imitate them, since your Father already knows what you need before you ask him.”
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 5:
5 Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved Sons and Daughters. 2 And continue to walk surrendered to the extravagant love of Christ, for He surrendered his life as a sacrifice for us. His great love for us was pleasing to God, like an aroma of adoration—a sweet healing fragrance.
When we give, we imitate Our Heavenly Father for HE gave HIS Son Jesus for our benefit. HIS gift is allowing us to come into full unity with HIM as well as each other. As we give to those in need, we promote unity. If we withhold our giving, we perpetuate division. FATHER’S abundance exceeds our ability to receive but as we distribute, our ability and capacity to receive grows. The devil knows this and that is why he promotes greed and hoarding for “greed” is the root of all evil.
Since HE is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, let us acknowledge and set our expectation at a much higher level than in the past. Cast down those vain thoughts of unworthiness and know that Christ’s Blood wiped away all those unworthy acts which have clung to your consciousness. They have been wiped away and no longer exist. The Blood was and is more than sufficient for us to walk worthy of THE LORD, we need to rise up from our passive state and GO forth!
What is holding us back? There are no limitations in THE SPIRIT.
The spirit of this world would have us believe we cannot be partakers of Jesus’ Divine Nature. Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2 Peter in chapter 1:
3 Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by His Divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing Him who has called us by name and invited us to come to Him through a glorious manifestation of His goodness. 4 As a result of this, He has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the Divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.
The Holy Spirit has revealed to us that we have everything we need within us to walk victoriously in this world. Unbelief is what is holding us back from walking in the fullness of His power and authority.
Many have taught a doctrine of waiting for a specific date to occur and then we will walk in such power. Those “prophetic” dates have come and gone a multitude of times yet people continue to hang on the words of those false prophets. Instead we need to devote ourselves to removing unbelief and error by immersing ourselves in the pure Word and walking in the Word without exception or reluctance.
It is all about us yielding to the pure Word in all areas of our life. There is no one in Heaven limiting us so we must look only as far as the mirror to find the one keeping us from fully entering into the fullness revealed here.
5 So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness,
and to goodness add understanding,
6 and to understanding add the strength of self-control,
and to self-control add patient endurance,
and to patient endurance add Godliness,
7 and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters,
and to mercy toward others add unending love.
8 Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately. 9 But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away.
10 For this reason, beloved ones, be eager to confirm and validate that God has invited you to salvation and claimed you as his own. If you do these things, you will never stumble. 11 As a result, the kingdom’s gates will open wide to you as God choreographs your triumphant entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah.
Are you willing to fully devote yourself to walking according to every Word in this chapter? I am! What else is worth pursuing instead? Everything else is temporary by nature and will fall apart at some point and become totally worthless. We need to focus on what The Holy Spirit is saying to us in this passage for it deals with eternity. There is no failure associated with The Word. We must saturate ourselves in The Word thus Truth will permeate every aspect of our life.
Jesus spoke in John chapter 16:
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
Let us no look at our own weakness but instead we should focus on the Absolute Truth and walk accordingly. We must not focus on the flesh but rather subdue it for it is holding us back from walking in the fullness of THE SPIRIT. Everything we need has already been deposited on our behalf so let us make used of our resources today!
Another writing from my friend Alan:
If you have been following this series of investigations into the family of Jacob, who was later to become Israel, you are aware that Leah, the elder daughter of Laban, was betrothed to a man who did not ask for her, nor have desire for her. And throughout this pageant, Jacob was thereby forced to accept a ‘wife’ he didn’t want in return for having access to the woman he loved. If you or I were writing this script, this is probably not the beginning we would suggest for the makings of a solid marriage and prosperous future. And yet it is the very scenario experienced by the one that was destined to manifest the full meaning of the name ‘Yah-qove’ (Jacob), and who was later to learn what it means to have to die to being ‘Yah-qove’ in order to experience the blueprint known as ‘Israel’. The journey from ‘adam’ to Christ is a storyline that could only be conceived in the Mind of God.
Leah, the wife reluctantly accepted, has given birth to five sons for Jacob, while Rachel, whom Jacob loved, was still barren and could produce no ‘fruit of the womb’. After the incident of ‘the mandrakes’, Rachel was still barren, but Leah produced a fifth son which she named Issachar; “My Wages” or “My Reward”. And even while Rachel remained childless, as if to add insult to injury, Leah conceived again to produce a sixth son for Jacob.
KJV Genesis 30:19 And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son.
KJV Genesis 30:20 And Leah said, “God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell (zah-bal, Strong’s # 2082) with me, because I have born him six sons”: and she called his name Zebulun.
While we have no direct information about what has been transpiring in the life of Leah since the birthing of Issachar, her demeanor and mindset seems to have begun to change; and for the better. Leah seems to be more at peace with herself, and her circumstances. And there is more going on in this scenario than we can plumb in this setting. The significance of the birth and naming of Zebulun seems to indicate that Leah is more accepting of her place in relationship with her husband, and the other ‘wives’ and their children. Leah emphasizes that she has now produced six sons for Jacob, and she relates that to being a ‘good dowry’, and a gift from God.
One of the unique mysteries revealed in this passage of scripture is the relationship between two words used by Leah in this proclamation; ‘zah-bahd’ and ‘zah-bal’. The English words ‘endued’ and ‘dowry’ in this verse, Gen. 30:20, are from the same Hebrew word, ‘zah-bahd’, which is listed as Strong’s #2064-2066. The primary root ‘zah-bahd’, as recognized in Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon, is defined as this: “…to endow; to impart; to bestow a gift, etc.” This
verse is the only place in scripture where I can find this word listed as a verb, and a common noun. Every other use of this three-letter word is as a proper noun name. That makes the use of this word as a verb/noun combination in this verse leap out at me, and causes me to ask ‘why’?
What is going on in the life of Leah that would inspire her to refer to giving birth to six sons as ‘a good dowry’? The English ‘dowry’ is referred to as a gift of money or property, or somethingof intrinsic value, that a woman’s family usually gives to a husband so that the future intended husband has something of value with which to provide for and protect his betrothed. Leah was well aware that the dowry that Laban, her father, had pledged to Jacob was the opportunity to ork further for Laban, just so Jacob could receive Rachel, his true love, as his wife. However,
after the birthing of Issachar, and now Zebulun, Leah declares that God has provided her with the acceptable ‘dowry’ for Jacob; six sons. That, to me, is a remarkable progression in the heart and mind of Leah as she has had to endure competing with Rachel, and two ‘handmaid’ wives, for respect and loyalty and attention from Jacob. Leah is proclaiming that the six sons she has born to Jacob is the proper dowry that she has to bestow (zah-bahd) upon her husband.
Leah has apparently recognized and accepted the valuable role she has to offer this clan. She can now see the true worth of her presence. Leah has found her ‘dwelling place’; the place where she belongs.
The other unique Hebrew word used in this verse is the verb ‘zah-bal’, Strong’s #2082. ‘Zah-bal’ refers to the proper dwelling place of a thing, or person or idea. The use of this word is indication that an idea or person or item is dwelling, actually residing, in its proper locale; where it naturally belongs. And both of the Hebrew words in this verse, ‘zah-bahd’ and zah-bal’, come from a common word association based on the first letter of the words, which is the ‘zayin’, the seventh letter of the Hebrew ‘aleph-beyt’ (alphabet). The use of the ‘zayin’, the seventh
letter, particularly when the ‘zayin’ is the first letter of a word, is indicative of having arrived, via a proper progression, to the correct location of a person or thing or idea. Many times a person or thing or idea can be recognized as not being in its most fitting locale. But that is not so with this word ‘zah-bal’. This word is indicative of a person, thing or idea being specifically where it is most suited; where it belongs. Hence the word ‘Zebulun’, derived from this verb ‘zah-bal’, is descriptive of perpetually dwelling in your most suitable location or condition.
The second letter of these two words is the ‘beyt’ (b), which is also the second letter of the ‘aleph-beyt’. And the role of the ‘beyt’ is to communicate a dwelling place, or cave, or house.
The Hebrew spelling of these words is significant in how these words are being used to communicate. In this context, the word ‘zah-bal’, which is loosely translated as ‘to dwell’, is indicative that Leah has recognized that she sees herself as now being in her relevant role, and in her proper dwelling place. Now that Leah is in her proper dwelling place, mentally and emotionally and spiritually, she believes her husband will now desire to ‘zah-bal’, or ‘dwell’, in her presence. While this doesn’t necessarily mean that Jacob will only dwell with her, and no longer desire his relationship with Rachel, Leah is now at peace with her situation. Leah has, in her own unique way, found peace in this troubled clan. As testimony of her finding her God-endowed place of peace, she will be rewarded with giving birth to another; a daughter, which she names Dinah.
When Leah names her daughter Dinah, the name indicates that Leah has accepted God’s discernment (diyn Strong’s #1777-1781) as a righteous judgment (diyn) for her situation. The word ‘dinah’ (see Strong’s # H1783) is from the same word that is translated in Psalm 7:8 as “…’judge’ (diyn; discern) the people;”, and also in many other places where ‘judge’ or ‘judgment’ is actually better recognized as ‘discernment’. However, the word ‘Dinah’ has the fifth letter of the ‘aleph-beyt’, the ‘hey’, added as suffix to this word ‘diyn’, which makes the word ‘dinah’ a
feminine context. Words which are a ‘feminine’ context’ are descriptive of an activity or idea actually being acted out, and/or physically expressed. The name ‘Dinah’ indicates that this discernment/judgment (diyn) is actually a quality of life being lived out.
Leah has now become ‘zah-bahd’, a good dowry. She doesn’t have a good dowry; she is a good dowry. ‘Zebulun’ (zah-bal) has now become the dwelling place of Leah, and ‘Dinah’ has become her quality of Life; in God, and in her family. Well done, Leah! Well done, indeed!
I can now see that until Jacob had become the complete and proper husband to his first wife, Leah, he could not have sons from his true love, Rachel. Jacob has arrived because Leah has arrived. And now Joseph, the legitimate ‘firstborn’ of Jacob, can come forth, and the journey to ‘Israel’ may continue. Jacob faces more pruning from God before he can be confronted with the role of Israel, which is his intended destination.
