Soul Cleanse: Day 9

Sunday, August 31st, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 48:

1 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, In the city of our God, His holy mountain.

2 Fair and beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth, Is Mount Zion [the City of David] in the far north, The city of the great King.

3 God, in her palaces, Has made Himself known as a stronghold.

Psalm 48:

8 As we have heard, so have we seen In the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish her forever. Selah.

[9] We have thought of Your lovingkindness, O God, In the midst of Your temple. [10] As is Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness, justice).

[11] Let Mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice Because of Your [righteous] judgments.

Psalm 50:

1 The mighty One, God, the LORD, has spoken, And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting [from east to west].

[2] Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.

[3] May our God come and not keep silent; Fire devours before Him, And around Him a mighty tempest rages.

[4] He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people:

[5] “Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

[6] And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.

Soul Cleanse: Day 8

Saturday, August 30th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 40:16 AMP

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The LORD be magnified!”

Psalm 45:

1 Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

[2] You are the most handsome of all. Gracious words stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever.

[3] Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so majestic!

[4] In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds!

[5] Your arrows are sharp, piercing your enemies’ hearts. The nations fall beneath your feet.

[6] Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.

[7] You love justice and hate evil. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.

[8] Myrrh, aloes, and cassia perfume your robes. In ivory palaces the music of strings entertains you.

Psalm 46:

1 God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.

[2] Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas,

[3] Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah.

[4] There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.

[5] God is in the midst of her [His city], she will not be moved; God will help her when the morning dawns.

[6] The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He raised His voice, the earth melted.

[7] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.

[8] Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has brought desolations and wonders on the earth.

[9] He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.

[10] “Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”

[11] The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Selah.

Kids In Need Update

Friday, August 29th, 2025

From the counselor:

I had a couple of stories that just came to me today that I wanted to share with you.

We have a family with 2 students that attend Bethany. Recently, the mom’s sister was murdered and this mom has taken guardianship of her 5 nieces and nephews. We are working on some things that can help them in the future, but what a gift that we will be able to put giftcards in their hands to help with some immediate needs.

I was on my way to my office this afternoon and was stopped by Chad M., who was our former assistant principal at the high school and is currently the Activities Director. There was a student last year that Mr. M. had an incredible relationship with. He told me several stories last year about the student weeping when Chad handed him a giftcard. This opened up a door to where this student knew he could trust Chad and would often come to talk to him when he needed someone in his corner. Because he needed to be able to work more to help support his family, he worked really hard to graduate early as a junior last year. Chad just informed me that he is going to CVTech to work on his HVAC license.

Your tithes and offerings have made a positive impact on these kids! Thank you.

Soul Cleanse: Day 7

Friday, August 29th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 36:

5 Your lovingkindness and graciousness, O LORD, extend to the skies, Your faithfulness [reaches] to the clouds.

[6] Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, Your judgments are like the great deep. O LORD, You preserve man and beast.

[7] How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

[8] They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You allow them to drink from the river of Your delights.

[9] For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; In Your light we see light.

[10] O continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness (salvation) to the upright in heart.

Psalm 39:

5 Behold, You have made my days as [short as] hand widths, And my lifetime is as nothing in Your sight. Surely every man at his best is a mere breath [a wisp of smoke, a vapor that vanishes]! Selah.

[6] Surely every man walks around like a shadow [in a charade]; Surely they make an uproar for nothing; Each one builds up riches, not knowing who will receive them.

[7] “And now, Lord, for what do I expectantly wait? My hope [my confident expectation] is in You.

Psalm 40:

4 Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies.

[5] Many, O LORD my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of your wonders, They would be too many to count.

[6] Sacrifice and meal offering You do not desire, nor do You delight in them; You have opened my ears and given me the capacity to hear [and obey Your word]; Burnt offerings and sin offerings You do not require.

[7] Then I said, “Behold, I come [to the throne]; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.

[8] I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.”

[9] I have proclaimed good news of righteousness [and the joy that comes from obedience to You] in the great assembly; Behold, I will not restrain my lips [from proclaiming Your righteousness], As You know, O LORD.

Soul Cleanse: Day 6

Thursday, August 28th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 31:

19 How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You, Which You have prepared for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of man!

[20] In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots and conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter (pavilion) from the strife of tongues.

Psalm 33:

10 The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He makes the thoughts and plans of the people ineffective.

[11] The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The thoughts and plans of His heart through all generations.

[12] Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen as His own inheritance.

[13] The LORD looks [down] from heaven; He sees all the sons of man;

[14] From His dwelling place He looks closely Upon all the inhabitants of the earth—

[15] He who fashions the hearts of them all, Who considers and understands all that they do.

[16] The king is not saved by the great size of his army; A warrior is not rescued by his great strength.

[17] A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.

[18] Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], On those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness,

[19] To rescue their lives from death And keep them alive in famine.

[20] We wait [expectantly] for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.

[21] For in Him our heart rejoices, Because we trust [lean on, rely on, and are confident] in His holy name.

[22] Let Your [steadfast] lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, In proportion as we have hoped in You.

Soul Cleanse: Day 5

Wednesday, August 27th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 25:

8Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. [9] He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way. [10] All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and goodness and truth and faithfulness To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Psalm 29:

1 Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

[2] Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty and majesty of His holiness [as the creator and source of holiness].

[3] The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters.

[4] The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. [5] The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

[6] He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, And Sirion (Mount Hermon) like a young, wild ox.

[7] The voice of the LORD rakes flames of fire (lightning).

[8] The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

[9] The voice of the LORD makes the doe labor and give birth And strips the forests bare; And in His temple all are saying, “Glory!”

[10] The LORD sat as King at the flood; Yes, the LORD sits as King forever.

[11] The LORD will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.

Soul Cleanse: Day 4

Tuesday, August 26th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 19:

1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands.

[2] Day after day pours forth speech, And night after night reveals knowledge.

[3] There is no speech, nor are there [spoken] words [from the stars]; Their voice is not heard.

[4] Yet their voice [in quiet evidence] has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them and in the heavens He has made a tent for the sun,

[5] Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.

[6] The sun’s rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

[7] The law of the LORD is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the LORD are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.

[8] The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

[9] The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true, they are righteous altogether.

[10] They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

[11] Moreover, by them Your servant is warned [reminded, illuminated, and instructed]; In keeping them there is great reward.

Psalm 24:

1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness of it, The world, and those who dwell in it.

[2] For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the streams and the rivers.

[3] Who may ascend onto the mountain of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place?

[4] He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully.

[5] He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

[6] This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need, Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob. Selah. [7] Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in.

[8] Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.

[9] Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in.

[10] Who is [He then] this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory [who rules over all creation with His heavenly armies]. Selah.

Soul Cleanse: Day 3

Monday, August 25th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 11

3 If the foundations [of a godly society] are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” [4] The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD’S throne is in heaven. His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of men.

[5] The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And His soul hates the [malevolent] one who loves violence.

[6] Upon the wicked (godless) He will rain coals of fire; Fire and brimstone and a dreadful scorching wind will be the portion of their cup [of doom].

[7] For the LORD is [absolutely] righteous, He loves righteousness (virtue, morality, justice); The upright shall see His face.

Psalm 18:

1 I love you, LORD; you are my strength.

[2] The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

[3] I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.

[4] The ropes of death entangled me; floods of destruction swept over me.

[5] The grave wrapped its ropes around me; death laid a trap in my path.

[6] But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.

[7] Then the earth quaked and trembled. The foundations of the mountains shook; they quaked because of his anger.

[8] Smoke poured from his nostrils; fierce flames leaped from his mouth. Glowing coals blazed forth from him.

[9] He opened the heavens and came down; dark storm clouds were beneath his feet.

[10] Mounted on a mighty angelic being, he flew, soaring on the wings of the wind.

[11] He shrouded himself in darkness, veiling his approach with dark rain clouds. [12] Thick clouds shielded the brightness around him and rained down hail and burning coals.

[13] The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded amid the hail and burning coals.

[14] He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; great bolts of lightning flashed, and they were confused.

[15] Then at your command, O LORD, at the blast of your breath, the bottom of the sea could be seen, and the foundations of the earth were laid bare.

[16] He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters.

[17] He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me.

[18] They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me.

[19] He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me.

[20] The LORD rewarded me for doing right; he restored me because of my innocence.

[21] For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not turned from my God to follow evil.

[22] I have followed all his regulations; I have never abandoned his decrees.

[23] I am blameless before God; I have kept myself from sin.

[24] The LORD rewarded me for doing right. He has seen my innocence.

[25] To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity.

[26] To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.

[27] You rescue the humble, but you humiliate the proud.

[28] You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness.

[29] In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.

[30] God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.

[31] For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock?

[32] God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. [33] He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.

[34] He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. [35] You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great.

[36] You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

Soul Cleanse: Day 2

Sunday, August 24th, 2025

Today’s Psalms:

Psalm 9:

1 I will give thanks and praise the LORD, with all my heart; I will tell aloud all Your wonders and marvelous deeds.

[2] I will rejoice and exult in you; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. [3] When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You.

[4] For You have maintained my right and my cause; You have sat on the throne judging righteously.

[5] You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked and unrepentant; You have wiped out their name forever and ever.

[6] The enemy has been cut off and has vanished in everlasting ruins, You have uprooted their cities; The very memory of them has perished.

[7] But the LORD will remain and sit enthroned forever; He has prepared and established His throne for judgment.

[8] And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the nations with fairness (equity).

[9] The LORD also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble;

[10] And those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not abandoned those who seek You.

[11] Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion; Declare among the peoples His [great and wondrous] deeds.

Psalm 10:

16 The LORD is King forever and ever; The nations will perish from His land. [17] O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble and oppressed; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear to hear,

[18] To vindicate and obtain justice for the fatherless and the oppressed, So that man who is of the earth will no longer terrify them.

Soul Cleanse: Day 1

Saturday, August 23rd, 2025

Before we begin, pray the following:

Reference: Ephesians 1:17-20, 2:6 TPT

I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to me the riches of the Spirit of Wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through my deepening intimacy with Him.

I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of my imagination, flooding me with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His Holy ones!

I pray that I will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to me through faith. Then my life will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through me! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted Him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the Heavenly realm, and He raised me up with Christ the exalted One, and I ascended with Him into the glorious perfection and authority of the Heavenly realm, for I am now co-seated as one with Christ!

AMEN

Reference: Ephesians 3:16-20 TPT

I pray that He would unveil within me the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods my innermost being with His Divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using my faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside me, and the resting place of His Love will become the very source and root of my life.

Then I will be empowered to discover what every Holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all Its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His Love! How enduring and inclusive It is! Endless Love beyond measurement that transcends my understanding—this extravagant Love pours into me until I am filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

20 I will never doubt God’s mighty power to work in me and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than my greatest request, my most unbelievable dream, and exceed my wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes me.

AMEN

Day 1 Psalms:

Psalm 8:1-2 TPT

YAHWEH, our Sovereign God, your glory streams from the heavens above, filling the earth with the majesty of your name! People everywhere see your splendor. [2] You have built a stronghold by the songs of children. Strength rises up with the chorus of infants. This kind of praise has power to shut satan’s mouth. Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you.

Psalm 8:3-9 AMP

When I see and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have established, [4] What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? [5] Yet You have made him a little lower than God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. [6] You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, [7] All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, [8] The birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas. [9] O LORD, our Lord, How majestic and glorious and excellent is Your name in all the earth!
