Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 8:
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken (give life to) your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
The work of The Holy Spirit is to quicken or give life to our mortal bodies. The Holy Spirit will arouse and invigorate us as we submit to The Holy Spirit’s leading to move us into full maturity as Sons and Daughters. Let us not hinder the work of THE SPIRIT in our lives but instead embrace the leading of The Holy Spirit in our interactions with others. Paul continues:
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.
13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
The Holy Spirit bears witness to our being Sons and Daughters so we don’t need man to tell us of our inheritance, The Holy Spirit will reaffirm our inheritance and our path. Man cannot raise us up to be glorified together with Christ.
A multitude are living according to the flesh unto certain death and need our Word of life to be ministered to them. They need to be converted unto Christ for their benefit yet until they are, they will continue on the path toward death and destruction. Love does not sit around and do nothing when there is such a great opportunity to minister life to those around us. There is no need for them to suffer judgment because of their ignorance but let The Word go forth and give them the opportunity to accept or reject the Gospel on this earth.
We need to change even more so if we have been negligent in being led by The Holy Spirit. Often, The Holy Spirit will nudge us to act according to FATHER’S Will and we will dismiss this sensitivity when our mind takes over and redirects our focus. Typically, The Holy Spirit initiates an action and the mind will quickly provide reasoning and logic to enter in and take over our action according to self interest. As we learn to be sensitive to The Holy Spirit, we will no longer disregard this sensitivity and allow ourselves to flow with The Holy Spirit.
This quickening will often seem inconvenient because of some apparent challenge before us. I have found over the years that when I respond to The Holy Spirit, the challenge dissipates thus allowing me to fulfill FATHER’S desire. This has been especially true of finances. The Holy Spirit moves upon my wife and I to give a specific sum of money and if I allow my mind to enter into the equation, I would have compromised and given less. However, we purpose to give what The Holy Spirit directs us to give and we have receiving many financial blessings in return from unexpected sources ourselves. This is how our faith grows in FATHER’S willingness to provide all our need according to HIS riches. Paul expressed this by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:
14 Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.
15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.
16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.
17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
As we become more sensitive to the quickening of The Holy Spirit, none will be left with unmet needs and we will experience the blessings associated with our actions which are well pleasing to Our Heavenly Father.
