FATHER’S Perfect Timing

Perfect timing belongs to Our Heavenly Father alone!

It’s all about timing.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 26:

18 And He said, “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples.”‘”

19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover. 20 When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.

21 Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

How did Jesus know that it was time?  FATHER revealed HIS timing and Jesus embraced it.  Jesus was intimately aware of FATHER’S precise timing.  He knew exactly what “certain” man for the disciples to approach.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 2:

1 Now on the third day, Jesus’ mother went to a wedding feast in the Galilean village of Cana.

2-3 Jesus and his disciples were all invited to the banquet, but with so many guests, they ran out of wine. And when Mary realized it, she came to Jesus and asked, “They have no wine; can’t you do something about it?”

4 Jesus replied, “My dear one, don’t you understand that if I do this, it will change nothing for you, but it will change everything for me! My hour of unveiling My power has not yet come.

Jesus spoke again about timing in John chapter 7:

2 Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

3 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.

3 His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing.

4 For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”

5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him.

6 Then Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

8 You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come.”

FATHER’S timing is not conditional on us in any way.  HE is sovereign and HE determines the precise timing events are to take place.  HE does not estimate the timing of events nor does HE rely on us to determine the precise timing.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 4:

1 Let me illustrate: As long as an heir is a minor, he’s not really much different than a servant, although he’s the master over all of them.

2 For until the time appointed by the father, the child is under the domestic supervision of the guardians of the estate.

3 So it is with us. When we were juveniles we were enslaved under the hostile spirits of the world.

4 But when the time of fulfillment had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law.

5 Yet all of this was so that He would redeem and set free those held hostage to the law so that we would receive our freedom and a full legal adoption as His Children.

6 And so that we would know that we are His True Children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father! My True Father!”

7 Now we’re no longer living like slaves under the law, but we enjoy being God’s very own Sons and Daughters! And because we’re His, we can access everything Our Father has—for we are heirs because of what God has done!

When is the second coming of Christ?  I don’t know but, in the meantime, I will continue to do what The Holy Spirit leads me to do.  I won’t sit around and do nothing.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Ecclesiastes chapter 3:

1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under Heaven:

9 What profit has the worker from that in which he labors?

10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied. 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

12 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,

13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor-it is the gift of God.

Yes, I long for the second coming but I view each day with gratitude.  When I look around, I see miracles of life with all its complexity.  Don’t sweat the timing but instead focus on being led by The Holy Spirit, He will order your steps.  The second coming of Christ will not arrive a minute early nor will it arrive a minute late!
