Walking In Abundance
October 14, 2026 – 3:59 amWalking in abundance requires revelation!
We were born for fruitfulness and abundance.
One distinctive aspect of God, as He is revealed in the Bible, is His abundance. God is not poor, He’s not stingy, He’s not limited. He’s a God of abundance. His grace is abundant, His Love is abundant, His provision is abundant. If we are to represent God accurately, and as He really is, to the world around us, then we must learn to represent Him as a God of abundance. Otherwise we will be misrepresenting Him.
However, we cannot represent God’s abundance to others until He has first revealed it to us. It’s important to realize that God’s abundance can never be properly apprehended by our carnal mind. It can be apprehended only by God’s own revelation.
It is recorded by The Holy Spirit in Jeremiah chapter 33:
1 Jeremiah was still confined to the palace guardhouse when the Word of YAHWEH came to him a second time, saying:
2 “I, YAHWEH, made the earth, formed its contours, and set it in place. YAHWEH is My Name. I say to you,
3 cry out to Me and I will answer you. I will reveal to you great things, guarded secrets that you never could have known.
6 “Nevertheless, I will heal them, restore them, and give them prosperity and lasting peace.
7 I will bring back the captives of Israel and Judah and reestablish them as before. 8 I will cleanse them from all the guilt of all the sins they have committed against me. I will even forgive all their sins of rebellion against me.
9 And it will become to Me a source of joy, honor, and splendor for all the earth to see. When they hear of all the prosperity that I bestow upon the people, they will be shaken to the core at all the good and prosperity that I lavish upon it.
In Jeremiah, we have here three purposes of God associated together. The first is restoration. The second is revelation. The third is abundance… in that order.
First comes restoration. Restoration is a sovereign act of God on behalf of His people, giving back that which sin has robbed them of. Out of restoration comes revelation. And out of revelation comes abundance.
Unless we have revelation from God, we cannot apprehend God’s abundance and that revelation comes out of restoration. This revelation comes only from the Word of God through the Spirit of God.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 2:
9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who Love Him.”
10 But God now unveils these profound realities to us by The Spirit. Yes, He has revealed to us His Inmost Heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.
11 After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His Thoughts and Secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.
12 For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us.
13 And we articulate these realities with the Words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed Truths with Spirit-revealed Words.
14 Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.
15 Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God.
16 For Who has ever intimately known the Mind of the Lord YAHWEH well enough to become His counselor? Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions.
Through the Holy Spirit we can receive the Mind of Christ. With the Mind of Christ we can appreciate all that God has freely given to us. We can apprehend His abundance.
God’s abundance is revealed and made available to us for one supreme purpose—it is for God’s glory, not for human satisfaction, but for God’s glory.
