Count It All Joy

In everything, give thanks!

This includes trials!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5:

16 Rejoice always,

17 pray without ceasing,

18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

The word everything denotes every situation that arises in your life.  Do you want to become perfect and complete?  Developing endurance requires resistance, and resistance promotes growth, strength, and maturity.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in James chapter 1:

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;

8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

The words “always”, “everything”, and “all” tell us not to worry or fear when we come up against trials and obstacles in our lives.  Those situations of resistance to our walk will result in providing spiritual nourishment needed for our growth.

David recorded by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 23:

5 You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows.

We are to have faith that The Holy Spirit will guide us into all Truth as we encounter enemies.  FATHER sets a table of nourishment as we deal with such situations.  If we have joy, we will not be depressed nor will we complain to others.  The thing that was designed to destroy you is the very thing that promotes you.

Divine moments don’t come when you schedule them; you can’t put them on your calendar.  Divine moments are the response of Heaven to the cries of earth.  However, the timing is entirely up to THE LORD.  Count it all joy when the perceived delay occurs… it is for your benefit even though you may not appreciate it at the time.

GOD has given us enough commands in Scripture to help us think like HE does.  HE knows the end from the beginning.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Isaiah chapter 46:

10 “I declare from the beginning how it will end and foretell from the start what has not yet happened. I decree that My purpose will stand, and I will fulfill My every plan.”

And Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:

32 For if you embrace the Truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.”

Knowing Truth does not set you free.  You can study Scriptures all day long, you can memorize the entire New Testament but that will not set you free.  The mental comprehension of a concept does not set a person free.  Knowing by experience is what sets you free.

Once you experience Divine intervention, you will be able to walk in freedom from fear, frustration, and disappointment.  Once GOD gives you insight to a Truth, it always comes as an invitation to an experience.  When you get the insight into Divine health, don’t be surprised by a trial of this nature.

When you get an insight into financial prosperity, expect a test in the future.  How you deal with a trial reveals your faith in HIS Word in that area.  I can testify that I have gone through both tests more than once.

Many believers stop short of transformational encounters because they are satisfied with good theology.  When we receive an insight into one of HIS Truths, we are then responsible to pursue HIM in light of that Truth and walk in It.

Revelation doesn’t impart; it invites.  When we receive revelation, we are to earnestly pursue until it becomes first nature in us.  When it does, we will count it all joy as we exercise overcoming faith in the midst of a trial.
