A renewed mind places its trust in GOD’S Almighty Power!
A transformed mind does not rely on man’s wisdom. We are meant to access Heaven’s solutions to the problems we encounter here on earth.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 2:
1 My brothers and sisters, when I first came to proclaim to you the secrets of God, I refused to come as an expert, trying to impress you with my eloquent speech and lofty wisdom.
2 For while I was with you I was determined to be consumed with one topic—Jesus, the crucified Messiah.
3 I stood before you feeling inadequate, filled with reverence for God, and trembling under the sense of the importance of my words.
4 The message I preached and how I preached it was not an attempt to sway you with persuasive arguments but to prove to you the Almighty Power of God’s Holy Spirit.
5 For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in HIS Almighty Power.
Have you been plagued by your past sins? It is vital that we not only understand but fully embrace what Paul wrote in the following verses. He was once Christ’s enemy but now he is a chief advocate of the power of The Cross and Resurrection. Paul was one of the greatest legal minds of the Jews, so he revealed the legality of what Jesus did between the Cross and the Resurrection in the following two verses.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 2:
14 Jesus canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it all—our sins, our stained soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto His cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.
Our sins were erased and fully deleted from our record. We must not allow our thinking to revert back to the old man… he is gone!
What did Jesus do then?
15 Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were His!
You and I have the authority in Christ to enforce this triumph upon the dethroned rulers of this world. Jesus went to the Cross as the Lamb of GOD but once He died on the Cross, He was resurrected as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords… the Lion of Judah! He is Who we serve today.
When you pray for someone and they get healed, you just enforced the victory of Christ on a dethroned influence. When you pray for a neighbor who has struggled with torment since they were a child and that torment gets broke off them, you just enforced the authority of Christ according to what Jesus would do if He were standing in your place.
Having dethroned the principalities and powers, Jesus cleared the Way for us to fulfill His Great Commission in all areas. Knowing this, when we take Holy Communion, we keep this great victory before us.
