Jesus’ Final Teaching

In His last 40 days on earth, Jesus focused on teaching the disciples on the Kingdom of GOD!

Seeking first The Kingdom is our responsibility and has an immediate, practical application.  We are to bring forth Heaven to earth and Jesus has equipped us with The Holy Spirit and provided us with infallible proofs as our example to live by.

Luke wrote by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 1:

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

We are not to be satisfied with only concepts and principles.  Theory is insufficient to be life-changing whereas experience is the confirming proof needed to initiate a change in our mindset and walk in Christ.  My wife and I have both experienced supernatural healings in our lives.  You can’t convince us that Jesus doesn’t heal today… it’s too late to convince us otherwise.

Many who have had no experience of this reality will elevate concept and opinion as though they are experts in the matter.  True Biblical education is experience oriented.  I have had the Baptism of The Holy Spirit for over 50 years and by HIS great grace and mercy, have operated in some of the Gifts of The Holy Spirit at certain times.  Those without such experience try to rationalize why the ministry of The Holy Spirit is no longer applicable or needed.  This goes against Jesus’ own Words.

Would you want to be taught what it meant to be born again by somebody who wasn’t born again?  Experience is simply a confirmation to The Word of God.  Such experience is a testimony of the power of GOD.  Experience creates the context.  This doesn’t mean all experiences are right, only those that conform to The Word of GOD.  Authentic Kingdom lifestyle is filled with experience.

Jesus taught we He did, and He did what He taught.  We are to do the same.

2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Jesus proved Himself to the 120 disciples when He appeared after His resurrection.  Empowered with the baptism of The Holy Spirit, they were willing to suffer unto to death, the mandate of spreading the Gospel.  Their fear of men departed.  What was Jesus’ priority in His final teaching?  Things pertaining to the Kingdom of GOD!  This was His highest priority.  This was the essence of what Jesus came to do, to reveal and manifest The Kingdom of GOD.

From day one, He assigned Adam and Eve in Genesis chapter 1:

28Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Outside the boundaries of the garden were chaos and darkness. Adam was commanded to subdue the earth and have dominion over all the earth.  He was to do it as he grew in number and in capacity to rule.  He failed.

FATHER’S desire was to rule the entire earth through people created in HIS Image that worshipped HIM by choice.  When Adam and Eve sinned, they gave up the authority to do that. Jesus, the second Adam, became a man, crucified and raised from the dead, to regain the authority and release the keys of authority to His brothers and sisters… we are included.  Jesus picked up where Adam left off.

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Before His departure, he had prepared the disciples for the ministry of The Holy Spirit so they could proceed in power and authority from ON HIGH to establish the Kingdom of GOD on the earth.
