Becoming Greatly Beloved

Our first question in the morning: Lord, what are you wanting to tell me today?

Men and women spend their time searching out some new revelation from those who have a supposed deeper relationship with GOD.  A PhD behind your name does not make you more anointed than a person with only a high school diploma.

When my wife was seven years old, she was slain in The Holy Spirit for about forty-five minutes during a church service altar call.  She responded multiple times “Yes LORD”.  She has always had a sensitive spirit which I find of greater importance than anyone’s education.  Our second youngest grandson encountered Jesus in our home when he was about the same age.  My wife had momentarily seen Him a few times walking through our house, but our grandson spoke to Him.  What a blessing!

Jesus wants to fellowship with each of us at a personal level.  The Holy Spirit wants to lead us into all Truth, but we must devote time to both!  Most people are too busy to develop such a close relationship.  However, it is their choice what they do with their time.

Once again, Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 17:

21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

It was the favorite pastime of the Athenians and visitors to Athens to discuss the newest ideas and philosophies.  Has that pastime changed?  Television programs are full of opinionated people who want us to focus on them and their views… as though they are endowed with Wisdom from Above.

As I wrote yesterday, many believers have an overactive soul and an underactive spirit.  We must tune out the noise of the world.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Daniel chapter 1:

17 God imparted insight and skill in every aspect of literature and science to the four Hebrew men. Daniel also had the unique gift of interpreting every kind of supernatural vision and dream.

In chapter 2:

  1. Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.

The king sought out the interpretation of the dream from the Chaldeans but to no avail.

16  So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation.

17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,

18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of Heaven.

20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the Name of God forever and ever, For Wisdom and might are His.

2] And HE changes the times and the seasons; HE removes kings and raises up kings; HE gives Wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

22 HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with HIM.

23 “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me Wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

When we seek FATHER, exalt Jesus, and listen to The Holy Spirit, we too will be delivered from death and destruction.  We will be sought out to provide answers when none seem to exist.

In Daniel chapter 4, the king had another dream:

18 “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

Are you known for having The Spirit of THE HOLY GOD in you?  As we come into the fullness of mature Sons and Daughters, we too will become known in a similar manner.

In chapter 6, we find the key to Daniel’s relationship with FATHER:

10  Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

11 Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

Daniel’s priority was to earnestly seek FATHER.  He truly had a heart for GOD amidst the turmoil around him.  How was he known in Heaven?

20  Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the Holy mountain of My God,

21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.

23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly Beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:

And in chapter 10:

11  And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly Beloved, understand the Words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.

18 Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me.

19 And he said, “O man greatly Beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

What a honor to be called “greatly Beloved”!
