The King’s Vengeance

The return of The King and the time of vengeance is at hand!

The oldest prophecy the Bible is quoted in Jude by The Holy Spirit:

14  Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,

15 to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

When Jesus read in Isaiah chapter 61, He did not read all of verse 2.  He stopped short of proclaiming “the day of vengeance of Our God” at that time.  His ministry on earth was given when He spoke in Luke chapter 4:

16  So Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.

That time has come and gone.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in Revelation chapter 19:

After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in Heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord Our God!

2 For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”

3 Again they said, “Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!”

4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God Who sat on the Throne, saying, “Amen! Alleluia!”

This is the last reference to the 24 elders who represent the true church.

5 Then a voice came from the Throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”

6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 11:

2 You need to know that God’s passion is burning inside me for you, because, like a Loving father, I have pledged your hand in marriage to Christ, your true Bridegroom. I’ve also promised that I would present his fiancée to Him as a pure virgin bride.

          And in Ephesians chapter 5:

25  And to the husbands, you are to demonstrate Love for your wives with the same tender devotion that Christ demonstrated to us, His bride. For He died for us, sacrificing Himself

26 to make us Holy and pure, cleansing us through the showering of the pure water of the Word of God.

27 All that He does in us is designed to make us a mature church for His pleasure, until we become a source of praise to Him—glorious and radiant, beautiful and Holy, without fault or flaw.

A mature believer will focus his or her attention on righteous works!

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

2  My Father’s House has many dwelling places. If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly, because I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And when everything is ready, I will come back and take you (harpazo) to Myself so that you will be where I am.

4 And you already know the way to the place where I’m going.”

8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Our righteous acts are not forgotten but are recorded in Heaven for this time.

9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

This is the first of two suppers.

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Angels do not allow themselves to be worshipped and this is once again emphasized as it was mentioned in the Book of Daniel.
