What did Enoch, Noah, and Abraham have in common?

David recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 34:

1  I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

3 Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His Name together.

4 I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked (nāḇaṭ) to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

9 Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.

10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.

The Hebrew word nāḇaṭ means: to look, regard, to focus on, to dwell on intently, show regard to, pay attention to, consider.

If we are distracted by the world, we cannot seriously nāḇaṭ THE LORD!  Enoch did not have the Old Testament or the New Testament to read the logos Word.

Moses recorded by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 5:

21  Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah.

22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.

23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

The name “Enoch” means “dedicated”.  The following provides a timeline:

Notice that Enoch lived during Adam’s lifetime.  Enoch would have heard stories of Adam walking with GOD during the cool of the day.  Enoch heard the rhema Word and dedicated himself to do the same.  He was sixty-five when he began to walk with GOD.

In Genesis chapter 6:

8  But Noah found grace in the Eyes of the LORD.

9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

Though Noah was born after Enoch’s departure, his grandfather would have told him the stories of his great grandfather, Enoch.  Noah chose to walk uprightly as well.  Noah was a Godly man of integrity, without fault in his generation, and he lived close to God.

Abraham was born two years after the death of Noah.  However, Shem would have told Abraham about Noah’s life as well as the details of the flood.

In Genesis chapter 12:

Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.

2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

Abraham had committed himself to THE LORD as well.  In response, THE LORD spoke to him and directed his life in a similar way to that of Enoch and Noah.

The commonality of all three was a relationship with Our Heavenly Father.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 4:

1  What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?

2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.

3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

As you and I look up and focus on our relationship with FATHER, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, our relationship will grow.  Focusing solely on the Covenant without the relationship, we will miss the point… and the blessing.

It is all about relationship!

Are we serving The Lamb or The Lion… of both?

Lance provides some perspective about 2024:

Becoming Greatly Beloved

Sunday, December 31st, 2023

Our first question in the morning: Lord, what are you wanting to tell me today?

Men and women spend their time searching out some new revelation from those who have a supposed deeper relationship with GOD.  A PhD behind your name does not make you more anointed than a person with only a high school diploma.

When my wife was seven years old, she was slain in The Holy Spirit for about forty-five minutes during a church service altar call.  She responded multiple times “Yes LORD”.  She has always had a sensitive spirit which I find of greater importance than anyone’s education.  Our second youngest grandson encountered Jesus in our home when he was about the same age.  My wife had momentarily seen Him a few times walking through our house, but our grandson spoke to Him.  What a blessing!

Jesus wants to fellowship with each of us at a personal level.  The Holy Spirit wants to lead us into all Truth, but we must devote time to both!  Most people are too busy to develop such a close relationship.  However, it is their choice what they do with their time.

Once again, Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 17:

21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

It was the favorite pastime of the Athenians and visitors to Athens to discuss the newest ideas and philosophies.  Has that pastime changed?  Television programs are full of opinionated people who want us to focus on them and their views… as though they are endowed with Wisdom from Above.

As I wrote yesterday, many believers have an overactive soul and an underactive spirit.  We must tune out the noise of the world.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Daniel chapter 1:

17 God imparted insight and skill in every aspect of literature and science to the four Hebrew men. Daniel also had the unique gift of interpreting every kind of supernatural vision and dream.

In chapter 2:

  1. Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.

The king sought out the interpretation of the dream from the Chaldeans but to no avail.

16  So Daniel went in and asked the king to give him time, that he might tell the king the interpretation.

17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the decision known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions,

18 that they might seek mercies from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of Heaven.

20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the Name of God forever and ever, For Wisdom and might are His.

2] And HE changes the times and the seasons; HE removes kings and raises up kings; HE gives Wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

22 HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with HIM.

23 “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me Wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”

When we seek FATHER, exalt Jesus, and listen to The Holy Spirit, we too will be delivered from death and destruction.  We will be sought out to provide answers when none seem to exist.

In Daniel chapter 4, the king had another dream:

18 “This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

Are you known for having The Spirit of THE HOLY GOD in you?  As we come into the fullness of mature Sons and Daughters, we too will become known in a similar manner.

In chapter 6, we find the key to Daniel’s relationship with FATHER:

10  Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

11 Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

Daniel’s priority was to earnestly seek FATHER.  He truly had a heart for GOD amidst the turmoil around him.  How was he known in Heaven?

20  Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the Holy mountain of My God,

21 yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand.

23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly Beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:

And in chapter 10:

11  And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly Beloved, understand the Words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.

18 Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me.

19 And he said, “O man greatly Beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

What a honor to be called “greatly Beloved”!

Considering What Is True

Saturday, December 30th, 2023

What are you considering to be true?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 17:

21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

In other Words, it was the favorite pastime of the Athenians and visitors to Athens to discuss the newest ideas and philosophies.

Many believers have an overactive soul and an underactive spirit.  Quiet time is a necessity to subdue the soul from the noise of the world.  The Holy Spirit does not yell but is that Still Small Voice in your spirit.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 46:

10  Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

We need to surrender our anxiety and our impatience!

Moses recorded by THE SPIRIT in Numbers chapter 21:

4  Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way.

5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.”

6 So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.

7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you; pray to the LORD that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

8 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.”

9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

Their impatience with The Lord brought forth judgment among the people.  Bronze represents judgment in Scripture and when the people looked up, their redemption came.  Their healing occurred when they sought the foreshadow of Christ on the cross.

John wrote by The Holy Spirit in chapter 3:

14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal life.

16 For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have Everlasting Life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

This coming year will bring forth global change and chaos like no other year since I have been alive.  The nefarious ones want to destroy America for it stands in the way of a one-world government.  They are using “lawfare” in an attempt to keep Cyrus from obtaining office for a second time.  Why?  He stands in the way of their destructive plans and their own safety.  The true solution is spiritual in nature.  Why would any sane person set fire to their own house?

You and I were placed on this earth at this time in history.  WE NEED to not only hear FATHER but walk out our individual callings IN CHRIST!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 2:

6  As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

10 and you are complete in Him, Who is the Head of all principality and power.

In other Words, beware that no one distracts you or intimidates you in their attempt to lead you away from Christ’s fullness by pretending to be full of wisdom when they’re filled with endless arguments of human logic. For they operate with humanistic and clouded judgments based on the mindset of this world system, and not the anointed Truths of Jesus Christ.

In 2024, our faith will be tested like never before.  We must discern the Truth from the lies being spewed out by multiple sources who proclaim that they are accurately reporting the news.  We are to hear that Still Small Voice and discern Truth from fiction.  The Truth will set you free!

Glorification On Earth?

Friday, December 29th, 2023

Is FATHER only interested in having dominion over your spirit?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:

1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

FATHER wants our bodies as well as our souls!  HE sees it as our reasonable service, and if it weren’t possible, HE would not have expressed it.  Further, it is our responsibility to take action, not be passive about it.

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5:

23  Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 He Who calls you is faithful, Who also will do it.

Are we to omit our bodies when we agree to FATHER’S dominion over us?  FATHER does not just want 1/3 or 2/3’s of our being, HE wants ALL of us to represent HIM here on earth.  A mature Son or Daughter should purpose to be complete in every area without exception.  This is my quest.

Moses recorded by THE SPIRIT in Exodus chapter 34:

29  Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.

30 So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

31 Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses talked with them.

32 Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them as commandments all that the LORD had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.

33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

34 But whenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out; and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded.

35 And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

If Moses physically manifested the Glory of GOD on his face, why can’t we?  Remember, he had killed a man in his earlier years, yet he was still able to come before The LORD and walk in a temporary glorified physical state.

Mark recorded by The Holy Spirit in his Gospel Mark chapter 9:

2  Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them.

3 His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.

4 And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.

5 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”-

6 because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid.

7 And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”

8 Suddenly, when they had looked around, they saw no one anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.

9 Now as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

Jesus is our Example.  He was transfigured BEFORE He went to the cross.  Was He not subject to like passions as we are?  Even His clothes emanated the Glory.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Philippians chapter 2:

5  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

6 Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name,

Jesus is Our Example, even in His example of glorification while on the earth.  Think about it!

Our Reasonable Service

Thursday, December 28th, 2023

Is FATHER only interested in having dominion over your spirit?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:

1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

FATHER wants our bodies too!  HE sees it as our reasonable service, and if it weren’t possible, HE would not have expressed it.  Further, it is our responsibility to take the action, not be passive about it.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect Will of God.

The renewing of your mind is a daily action, not “once and done”.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in his Epistle in chapter 1:

21  Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;

24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

If we don’t renew our minds daily, we are subject to deceiving ourselves as we forget who we are in Christ.  Doing the Word strengthens us to the point where we are fully confident of our walk in Christ.  Our sensitivity to The Holy Spirit increases to the point where we are fully led by THE SPIRIT in all matters.  Our frustrations subside and we will overcome all obstacles placed before us.  We will walk in peace while turmoil is found all around us.

In 1984, I had been living in a state of Divine health until I contracted hepatitis from shellfish.  I had the worst case that the doctor had ever seen… they thought I was going to die.  Yes, I turned yellow.  I went to FATHER and complained about the situation.  HE responded saying, “You are void of MY Word.”  I replied that I had studied The Word, listened to tapes, read various books by Christian authors, etc.  HE responded, “When is the last time you studied MY Word in the area of healing?”  I replied that I had not in a long time since I was experiencing Divine health… I repented.

HE told me three specific areas to address the issue and I did.  I immersed myself in healing Scriptures.  In eleven days, I was totally healed.  The doctor expected me to be off work for at least six to eight weeks.  I learned my lesson concerning renewing my mind in all areas.  It was a tough lesson never to be forgotten.

I urge you to learn from my mistakes!

Jesus spoke in John chapter 17:

17 Sanctify them by Your Truth. Your Word is Truth.

The word sanctify means:

to render or acknowledge, or to be venerable or hallow

to separate from profane things and dedicate to God

consecrate things to God

dedicate people to God

to purify

to cleanse externally

to purify by expiation: free from the guilt of sin

to purify internally by renewing of the soul

We are made Holy by The Word as we renew our minds daily.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 5:

25  Husbands, Love your wives, just as Christ also Loved the church and gave Himself for her,

26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word,

27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be Holy and without blemish.

We have been given the path to Holiness, but it is up to each of us to walk out this path.  FATHER wants to have complete dominion over our mind as well.

Giving Appropriate Honor

Wednesday, December 27th, 2023

Giving appropriate Honor to GOD and parents is the key to opening the promise of a long life!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 6:

1  Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

In Exodus 20:12, the fifth commandment of the ten commandments tells us to:

Honor (kabad) your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

This is the only command that carries a blessing with it. It is a command that contains the key that opens the door to a secure life in the Promised Land. And that key is ‘honor’.

We see this when we look at the pictographic meaning of the individual letters of the Hebrew word כבד kabad, and how together they illustrate the Hebrew concept of ‘honor’.

כבד Kabad has three letters:

כ kaf illustrating an open hand – meaning power or strength

ב bet illustrates a house, and is used throughout Hebrew to mean ‘in’ or ‘inside’, and

ד dalet illustrates a door

When put together a picture is formed that illustrates the concept of honor being the strength or power that opens the door.

There are steps to “ENTER INTO THE PROMISED LAND”:

Honoring is the fifth of the Ten Commandments. The first four commandments define a process that brings us to the Promised Land, or God’s Kingdom life. This fifth one shows how we can remain in it securely.

To enter into the Kingdom Life we must first hear the Voice of God calling us, this is defined in the First Commandment. He reaches out and reveals Himself to us as our God – the One Who has released us from our bondage to sin.

We respond to Him when we act according to the second command, where we forsake all others and declare our loyalty to Him – that He is Our God. By being in an intentional relationship with Him we experience His faithfulness towards us, and we come to trust Him. We trust His Nature, and as we trust His Name, we no longer take it in vain – so we are keeping the third commandment.

These first three commandments are a process of transformation that leads us into the fourth commandment – the sabbath rest. Our old nature is put to death, not by our own work but that of Christ in us. As we bear His Image we cease from our own labor and enter into His rest – as it is not our work that conquers sin, but His… and He has already overcome. This is what it means to keep the Sabbath Day holy.

It is at this point that, having entered into His rest, that we enter into His Kingdom Life. By submitting ourselves to Him as our Lord and King we will express a new way of living. And this new way starts with ‘honor’.

So, what is ‘honor’?

Firstly, it is not simply obedience, and it is also not Love. This is particularly striking, as nowhere in God’s word are we specifically commanded to Love our parents – although the Bible does tell us to Love our neighbor, the stranger, and God Himself.  We are however commanded to honor them.

Honor implies a recognition of authority, and is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as:

High respect, or great esteem, and

The quality of knowing and doing what is morally right.

The Hebrew word that is used for ‘honor’ is כבד kabad and it literally means ‘heavy’.

Now this may sound a little strange. However, in ancient times value and weight were connected. A simple illustration of this would be the ancient monetary unit, the shekel – the heavier the coin the higher its value.

So when we say ‘honor’ is ‘heavy’ we say that ‘honor’ is ‘value’

But the way in which the word כבד kabad is used in the fifth commandment implies that we are to do more than simply ‘honor’ or  ‘value’ our parents.

כבד Kabad is written in a form that does not just mean ‘heavy’, but rather to ‘make heavy’.

We are therefore commanded to ‘give value’ or to ‘give honor’. It is therefore not a passive act, but one which requires expression.

With this foundation in place, honoring our parents is witnessing of the respect that we have for God, and the recognition of His authority. It is respecting our source of life.

Honoring our parents starts with honoring God, and when we do so, God promises that:

1st Samuel 2:30 Those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

This is the foundation of life, and is the key to securing the blessing that is contained in the fifth commandment. It is how we secure possession of the Promised Land.

When we give honor we express value – we identify what it is that we treasure.

Jesus tells us that where our treasure is, that is where our heart will be (Matthew 6:19).

Yes, parents are imperfect yet FATHER selected them to bring you forth into this world.

Are We Going To Obey?

Tuesday, December 26th, 2023

Jesus Christ is The King of Kings and Lord of All so are we going to obey His commands or not?

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 6:

37  Jesus said, “Forsake the habit of criticizing and judging others, and you will not be criticized and judged in return. Don’t condemn others and you will not be condemned. Forgive over and over, and you will be forgiven over and over.

Soulish, selfish people judge everyone else by their actions, but judge themselves by their intentions.

38 Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! The measurement of your generosity becomes the measurement of your return.”

Do you really trust Our Heavenly Father for your provision?

39 Jesus also quoted these proverbs: “What happens when a blind man pretends to guide another blind man? They both stumble into a ditch!

40 And how could the apprentice know more than his master, for only after he is fully qualified will he be at that level.

In other Words: A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.

41 Why do you focus on the flaw in someone else’s life and fail to notice the glaring flaws of your own life?

42 How could you say to your friend, ‘Here, let me show you where you’re wrong,’ when you are guilty of even more than he? You are overly critical, splitting hairs and being a hypocrite! You must acknowledge your own blind spots and deal with them before you will be able to deal with the blind spot of your friend.”

Look in the mirror and truly assess your own actions before you criticize anyone.  Arrogant and entitled people are living a lie.

43 “You’ll never find choice fruit hanging on a bad, unhealthy tree. And rotten fruit doesn’t hang on a good, healthy tree.

44 Every tree will be revealed by the quality of fruit that it produces. You will never pick figs or grapes from thorn trees.

45 People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. Likewise, out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words.

Inspection of fruit provides us with the Truth of where someone is at in their walk with The Lord.

46 “What good does it do for you to say I am your Lord and Master if you don’t put into practice what I teach you?

47 Let me describe the one who truly follows Me and does what I say:

48 He is like a man who chooses the right place to build a house and then lays a deep and secure foundation. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it continues to stand strong and unshaken through the tempest, for he built it wisely on the right foundation.

49 But the one who has heard my teaching and does not obey it is like a man who builds a house without laying any foundation at all. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it will immediately collapse and become a total loss. Which of these two builders will you be?”

In other Words, he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.

Jesus did not promise a life without storms and floods.  However, He did tell us how to overcome all of life’s challenges.

These are The Words of Jesus, not my opinion.  It is your decision what path you take!

The Hope Of The World

Monday, December 25th, 2023

Jesus Christ is The Hope of the world!

David wrote by THE SPIRIT the Golden Psalm chapter 16:

Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.”

3 As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all My delight.”

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.

5 O LORD, You are The Portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.

6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance.

7 I will bless the LORD Who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.

8 I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.

10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

11 You will show me the Path of Life; In Your Presence is fullness of joy; At Your Right Hand are pleasures forevermore.

When the turbulence comes as a raging sea, we are to remain calm.

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 21:

26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near (is at hand).

In Scripture, the sea depicts mankind, the sea of humanity.

Matthew recorded by The Holy Spirit in his Gospel in chapter 8:

23  Now when Jesus got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

Hope is the positive assurance of an expected outcome.  Jesus had the assurance that He was not going to die in a boat during a storm.  Instead, He took command of the storm and spoke to the wind.  Nature responded.  We need to rest in that same assurance.

David also wrote by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 31:

23  Oh, Love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person (who reject Him in their pride).

24 Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

Our hearts must be rooted and grounded IN HIM for we are to be of good courage during tumultuous times.  Our hope and trust are in THE LORD.  We should celebrate His birth and most of all His resurrection every day.  If we do, peace will prevail in our hearts!

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Luke chapter 2:

11  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, Who is Christ the Lord.

12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the Highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

The Lion of Judah and His saints will ultimately bring peace on earth and good hope to all men.

The Question

Sunday, December 24th, 2023

Jesus has a question for each of us!

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 18:

35  Then it happened, as Jesus was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.

36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.

37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

38 And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near,

Jesus asked him,

41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?

He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

Complaining prayers are not communion with GOD.  FATHER doesn’t need us to tell HIM what isn’t working and is wrong.  We are to pray to HIM for what we want to manifest.  We are to pray the solution.

The blind man did not come to Jesus to complain about his problem, he came for the solution: eyesight.

Each of us has an assignment given to us before we were formed in the womb.

David recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 139:

13  For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Your Eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

In other words: You saw who You created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days You planned for me were already recorded in your book.

Do you think that FATHER planned your days without giving you an assignment with an expected end?

No matter what your age, it is never too late to implement HIS plan for your life.  We must quit being sin conscious as though we are unqualified to carry out HIS plan for our lives.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 6:

10  For by His sacrifice he died to sin’s power once and for all, but He now lives continuously for the Father’s pleasure.

11 So let it be the same way with you! Since you are now joined with him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One.

12 Sin is a dethroned monarch; so you must no longer give it an opportunity to rule over your life, controlling how you live and compelling you to obey its desires and cravings.

13 So then, refuse to answer its call to surrender your body as a tool for wickedness. Instead, passionately answer God’s call to keep yielding your body to HIM as one who has now experienced resurrection Life! You live now for HIS pleasure, ready to be used for HIS noble purpose.

Jesus enabled us to fulfill our assignment, but we must accept the fact that we are dead to sin and alive IN HIM.  Don’t allow the old man to prevail… he is dead.

14 Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.

15 What are we to do, then? Should we sin to our hearts’ content since there’s no law to condemn us anymore? What a terrible thought!

16 Don’t you realize that grace frees you to choose your own master? But choose carefully, for you surrender yourself to become a servant—bound to the one you choose to obey. If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to Love and obey God, He will lead you into perfect righteousness.

17 And thanks be to God, for in the past you were servants of sin, but now your obedience is heart deep, and your life is being molded by Truth through the teaching you are devoted to.

I don’t need another prophet to tell me what my spirit already knows.  Each of us gravitates to our calling.  We only need to look back at our life as well as allow The Holy Spirit to clarify our specific calling.

When Jesus asks you the question, what will be your specific request?
