At The Forefront- Part 2

The Holy Spirit should be at the forefront of our walk in Christ!

Other manifestations/descriptions/impartations of The Holy Spirit include:

Rain

Joel 2:23,28-29 NKJV

Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you- The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. [28] “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. [29] And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

Rain represents seasonal visitations of GOD.  Rain came in certain seasons.

Water as a symbol.

Isaiah 44:3 NKJV

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;

The Holy Spirit is both Life and judgment (i.e. Noah)

The Holy Spirit is Fire.

Luke 3:16 TPT

But John made it clear by telling them, “There is one coming who is mightier than I. He is supreme. In fact, I’m not worthy of even being his slave. I can only baptize you in this river, but he will baptize you into the Spirit of Holiness and into His raging fire.

Fire represents the purification process as well as destruction.

Malachi 3:2-3 NKJV

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap. [3] He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.

1 Corinthians 3:13-17 NKJV

each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. [14] If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. [15] If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. [16] Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17] If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

HIS mercy is at work.

The Holy Spirit is a dove.

Matthew 3:16 TPT

And as Jesus rose up out of the water, the heavenly realm opened up over him and he saw the Holy Spirit descend out of the heavens and rest upon him in the form of a dove.

The dove is a symbol for both meekness and purity and never left Him.

The Holy Spirit is a yoke.

Matthew 11:29-30 NKJV

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The anointing on Him is His yoke.

The Holy Spirit is a river.

John 7:37-39 TPT

Then on the most important day of the feast (The Feast of Tabernacles), the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to Me and drink! [38] Believe in me so that Rivers of Living Water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” [39] Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive. But the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out upon them, because Jesus had not yet been unveiled in His full splendor.

Don’t resist the River!
