At The Forefront- Part 3

The Holy Spirit should be at the forefront of our walk in Christ!

The final of fifteen manifestations/descriptions/impartations of The Holy Spirit include:

The Holy Spirit is wind.

John 3:8 TPT

For the Spirit-Wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is the same with those who are Spirit-born!”

Acts 2:2-4 TPT

Suddenly they heard the sound of a violent blast of wind rushing into the house from out of the heavenly realm. The roar of the wind was so overpowering it was all anyone could bear! [3] Then all at once a pillar of fire appeared before their eyes. It separated into tongues of fire that engulfed each one of them. [4] They were all filled and equipped with the Holy Spirit and were inspired to speak in tongues—empowered by the Spirit to speak in languages they had never learned!

The Holy Spirit is a Gift.

Acts 2:38-39 TPT

Peter replied, “Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed. Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit. [39] For God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”

The Holy Spirit is both a seal and the earnest (a down payment).

2 Corinthians 1:22 NKJV

who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

The Holy Spirit is the Presence of glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Holy Spirit is like wine.

Ephesians 5:17-21 NKJV

Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. [18] And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, [19] speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, [20] giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, [21] submitting to one another in the fear of God.

The Holy Spirit is the One Who takes control.  He comes to bring a Divine control in our life.  Wine is also representative of joy.

Luke 5:37-39 TPT

And who pours new wine into an old wineskin? If someone did, the old wineskin would burst and the new wine would be lost. [38] New wine must always be poured into new wineskins. [39] Yet you say, ‘The old ways are better,’ and you refuse to even taste the new wine that I bring.”

The Holy Spirit is Light.

Revelation 1:12 NKJV

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,

Lampstands are a symbol of the burning Presence of Christ.  They are golden, for Christ has purified and made Holy His church.  The church contains the Oil of The Holy Spirit.  The wick is like the message of The Gospel to be doused in the Oil of The Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is both the fuel and the fire!  He produces light as we proclaim The Gospel.

Understanding these symbols helps believers better cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s ongoing work of cleansing, renewing, and empowering them.

Romans 8:14 NKJV
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are Sons of God!

Our priority is to keep The Holy Spirit at the forefront in our daily walk!
