Walking In Abundance- Part 15
October 30, 2026 – 3:02 amWe are meant to walk in abundance, but we must be patient!
How do we move into our inheritance, which is the promises of God? As I wrote yesterday, there are three simple, practical steps to appropriating God’s promises.
First, let the Holy Spirit direct you to the appropriate promises.
The second step to appropriating God’s promises is this: When the Holy Spirit has led you to a given promise in the Word of God, study and fulfill the conditions.
The third step to appropriating God’s promises: Maintain an attitude of faith and act appropriately.
It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 6:
12 “That you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
And then again in Hebrews 10:36:
“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.” (NASB)
GOD has perfect timing! Just look up at the stars and planets. Each has been given perfect timing as they make their course through the galaxies. We have studied the heavens and count on their timing every day. HE has perfect timing for us as well. When we submit to HIS timing, peace comes forth in our daily walk.
James wrote by The Holy Spirit in His epistle, James chapter 1:
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
In other Words, as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. This will release peace in you.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 1:
10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
I have declared these verses every morning for decades. Why? This passage expresses my deepest desires. Obviously, I needed to remind my soul!
Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in Titus chapter 2:
1 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine:
2 that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in Love, in patience;
3 the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things-
4 that they admonish the young women to Love their husbands, to Love their children,
5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the Word of God may not be blasphemed.
6 Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded,
7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,
8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
Why did I emphasize verse 2? I fit that category. It can be challenging to be patient with younger men who think they are legends in their own mind and indestructible in their physical activities. I can relate with their mindset.
No matter what category you are in, let patience have its perfect work so that you can live in GOD’S abundance and glorify HIM in all that you do.
