The House of GOD is not a building, It is a Rock!
The Law of first mention is the standard for describing its use elsewhere in Scripture. Yesterday, we saw the connection of Genesis 28 and John chapter 1 where Jesus encountered Nathanael, the disciple with no deceit found.
The next fulfillment is found on the Day of Pentecost.
Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2:
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other Tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
There is sound of wind and fire that comes into the room
And It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 1:
7 And about His angels He says, “I make my angels swift winds, and my ministers fiery flames.”
Jesus told Nathanael he would see greater things which includes angels ascending and descending from Heaven to earth on the Son of man. They minister according to The Holy Spirit’s directives here on earth. Their evidence was seen on the Day of Pentecost; they are associated with wind and fire! It is foolish to worship them, and it is equally foolish to ignore them. They are not to be worshiped, and we don’t serve them. They help facilitate GOD’S assignment in our lives. To ignore them is not smart!
I can testify that an angel pulled me away from certain death midday in 2012 when a commercial van nearly hit me while I was crossing in a crosswalk on my bike. I was pulled away to safety, but the bike went under the van before it finally stopped about forty feet later. I safely survived but my bike didn’t. It was by FATHER’S great grace and mercy on my behalf.
What happened when the wind and fire appeared?
Continuing in Acts 2:
6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.
7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?
12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”
What was the response of the people? They were confused, amazed, they marveled, stunned, perplexed, and some mocked. Expect this response to you carrying out Jesus’ command to bring forth the Kingdom of GOD to the earth. If you think you can have a move of GOD without those things, you are horribly mistaken.
This was an uncommon event in an international city. Thousands of people would not show up when it is business as usual! The sound was not of this world. Also, the fire was not of this world.
There were 120 people in the upper room who were in unity and tuned in to the Heart of GOD. When we are in perfect unity with HIS Heart, the supernatural occurs for all to witness. People can be united but not in tune with HIS Heart. They will not have the same results as what happened in Acts chapter 2.
The more I yield to what HE is saying, the more I yield to what HE’S doing, the more I become the instrument in HIS Hand simply to represent HIM well, suddenly, I find that I am drawn to people who have those same values. It becomes a unity that’s created by The Holy Spirit Himself.
The psalmist recorded by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 118:
22 The very Stone the masons rejected as flawed has turned out to be the most important Capstone of the arch, holding up the very House of God.
23 The Lord Himself is the One who has done this, and it’s so amazing, so marvelous to see!
24 This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy, filling our hearts with glee.
You and I are stones in the House of GOD where Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone. All of HIS stones are in perfect alignment and unity with Jesus.
