Cephas

Wednesday, March 27th, 2019

My friend Alan wrote:

Epiphoneo.  2019.  As we continue to hear (see?) things that have previously been hidden, in plain view, I am seeing (hearing?) connections that have previously been un-connectable; at least for me.

This morning, while again researching the implications of ‘epi-phoneo’ (Strong’s # G2019), I have seen (heard? is there a sound of light –son of luminescence- thing going on here in this thing we call epi-phoneo?) the direct connection between the name ‘Simeon’ and ‘Simon’.

Yashua, knowing that ‘Simon’ would, because of his nature that is revealed in the name ‘Simon’, have the propensity to mimic and puppet what he had ‘heard’.  Yashua instead called this man Peter (Cephas; an Aramaic word referring to stone).  Why?  Because ‘Simon’, meaning to be swayed and moved and manipulated by what has been ‘heard’, needed to hear himself referred to as Petros, the Greek word for Kayphas (Strong’s # G2786;Cephas).  Cephas (literally, kay-phas) comes from the Hebrew ‘caph’, which is symbolized as the palm of the hand when cupped to receive and hold water, sand, grain, etc.

The most literal understanding of this word ‘caph’ (Hebrew root verb cah-phaph, Strong’s #3721, which is described as bowing down) is that of a hollowed out rock; hard on the outside, but empty on the inside.  This is where we get our word ‘cup’; “Fill my cup (cah-phaph), Father”.  That is the most perfect description of Simon, surnamed Peter, I have ever seen; or heard; or both.  Cephas (from cah-phaph) is the picture of an empty cup, desirous to be filled with the presence of Our Father.

Psalm 145:14 is a beautiful epithet to this concept, where this word ‘cah-phaph is translated into English as “…bowed down”.  Can you see the similarity of the cupped hand with the image of bowing down?  It is describing the humbling of our hardened soul to receive the loving influence of the Holy Spirit of Truth in Love.

Are we not all ‘cah-phaph’, Cephas, a hardened vessel needing to be filled with the fullness of Our Father?  “I have called you Cephas; and on this ‘petros’/cephas’ I will build My Church”.   my paraphrase, of course.

Additionally, In Psalm 23:

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will dwell in the house of the LORD

Forever.

Careful Observance

Tuesday, March 26th, 2019

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Deuteronomy chapter 28:

1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”

9 “The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.

10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you.”

All of FATHER’S commandments can be summed up in two commandments expressed by Our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 22:

34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.

35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

FATHER intends for us to carefully observe HIS commandments to Love.  FATHER has not changed since HE expressed the Law in Deuteronomy and the summation of the Law expressed by HIS Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Further, HE sent HIS Holy Spirit to reside in us so that we can be fully led by HIS SPIRIT in all things.  It is up to us individually to carefully observe these commandments and not allow ourselves to be moved by our logic and/or emotions to walk another path.  Technology seeks to place us in somewhat of a jail “cell” so that we would be led in another manner.  People are becoming addicted to their cell phones to the point where they are becoming unaware of their surroundings.

Technology excites the senses and draws people away from spiritual sensitivity.  I observe this every day as I drive, walk, and sit in public places.  I see people with their heads bowed… no, they are not praying… they are fixated on their cell phone screens.  It we carefully observed FATHER’S Word like people are carefully observing their cell phone output, this nation would not be heading toward widespread chaos.  Should we be fasting technology?  Just a thought!  I wonder how many people would go through severe withdrawal?  Is it possible that when the chaos arrives, people will be bowing their heads without their cell phones in their hands?

It is my intent to go before FATHER every morning in the quietness before the external stimuli can enter in.  I find this time to be invaluable to me as I seek to hear HIS Voice.  FATHER never lets me down as I write these blogs.  I plan to carefully observe HIS Commandments and hear HIS Voice so that I will fully mature and be a vessel of honor for HIS use.  Let us all ascend together in HIS Love for mankind.  Let us be careful to resist anything that would draw our attention away from careful observance of HIS Word and SPIRIT.

The Two Blind Men

Monday, March 25th, 2019

Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 20:

29 Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him.

30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

31 Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

32 So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”

34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

And in Luke 18:

35 Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.

36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.

37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

38 And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him,

41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?”  He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”

42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

And in Mark 10:

46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.  Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”

50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.

51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?”  The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

First, you have two blind men, then you have a certain blind man, and finally you have blind Bartimaeus.

Bartimaeus’ name means son of the unclean, impure, ethically, religiously, and ritually.  The above passages describe this encounter with three different facets.  Jesus healed Bartimaeus to show us FATHER’S Divine Love extends to the unclean and impure.  Jesus confirmed that the faith of Bartimaeus in Jesus Christ healed him of his blindness.  At the same time, Bartimaeus became a follower of Christ.  This depicts the two-fold salvation message of Christ.

In Matthew’s account, there were two men.  The second man is not revealed to us.  Metaphorically, blindness is an appropriate description of sin’s effect.  In Zephaniah chapter 1, The Word of the LORD which came to Zephaniah:

17 “I will bring distress upon men, And they shall walk like blind men, Because they have sinned against the LORD; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse.”

18 Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the LORD’s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance of all those who dwell in the land.

And in Deuteronomy 28:

29 And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.

Love will heal man of spiritual and physical blindness.  Spiritual blindness has dramatically increased around the world and is in need of the Gospel of Christ like never before.  Spiritually blind men and women will be exposed by the light of the Gospel and the spiritually mature Sons and Daughters will bring forth the message of life along with the healing power from Above.  When man’s economic system fails (for gold and silver, i.e., money), mankind will come to the realization of their blind state and will cry out for mercy.  Some will attempt to silence them but their desperation will compel them to seek deliverance from blindness.  FATHER’S great Love will prevail and restore their sight.  They will become followers of Christ, glorifying Our Heavenly Father.  Prepare for a great healing to come forth as the light grows brighter!

Rejecting The Simplicity

Sunday, March 24th, 2019

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus spoke in chapter 7:

5   So the Pharisees and scribes asked Jesus, “Why do Your disciples not live their lives according to the tradition of the elders, but [instead] eat their bread with [ceremonially] unwashed hands?”

6   He replied, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), as it is written [in Scripture],

‘These people honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.

7   ‘They worship Me in vain [their worship is meaningless and worthless, a pretense],
Teaching the precepts of men as doctrines [giving their traditions equal weight with the Scriptures].’

8   You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling[faithfully] to the tradition of men.”

9   He was also saying to them, “You are experts at setting aside and nullifying (rejecting) the commandment of God in order to keep your [man-made] tradition and regulations.

What happens when direct communion with FATHER ceases?  Tradition sets in.  What happens when man attempts to replace revelation with his own “prophetic” words, actions, and ceremonies, attempting to get FATHER to honor them as some sort of endorsement?  Tradition sets in.  Man attempts to simulate a relationship with FATHER by projecting his own heart apart from FATHER’S Word.  FATHER will not be coerced into complying with whatever proceeds out of the mouth and ceremonial actions of men and women.  Their heart is far from HIM and their words and actions tend to exalt them over the people they are attempting to gather under their “ministry”.

I could prophesy to you that the sun will set today, tomorrow, and the next day, but that does not make me a prophet of Our Heavenly Father.  I could prophesy that there will be a shooting three days from now but it does not make me a prophet.  A true prophet only speaks the Words FATHER speaks to him or her and adds nothing to FATHER’S Word.  We must be careful when it comes to responding and acting on the words of those who proclaim to be prophets.  Over the years, I have seen many who have suffered greatly because they exalted a “prophet’s” words because they were unable to hear FATHER directly.  The fruit tells the story.

FATHER did not find it necessary to produce a million word Bible to lead us to fellowship with HIM.  Within the Gospels is the key to communion with HIM.  The disciples were led by THE SPIRIT to write the epistles for our benefit.  Those epistles were non-existent except in THE SPIRIT when they were ministering the simplicity of The Gospel of Christ, yet men and women today, think they need to expand the Word into complexity thus exalting themselves above others.

Agape Love is simply the key to becoming one with FATHER.  We don’t have to go through some complex ceremony to get FATHER’S attention.  HE did not make HIS accessibility dependent on some complex formula or process that only a few can discover.  We must set aside our soulish faculties and come to HIM in the simplicity of a child expressing his or her Love.  Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 10:

13 Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

16 And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.

Our minds want to complicate the Gospel in order to exalt our ego above others who are less knowledgeable of the Scripture.  We must not allow ourselves to reject the simplicity of The Gospel, otherwise we will fall into the trap of tradition and ceremony.

Wisdom Speaks

Friday, March 22nd, 2019

Wisdom spoke in Proverbs chapter 3:

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

8 It will be health to your flesh,

And strength to your bones.

In the coming days, weeks, and months, I expect increasing volatility in all areas of the world system.  It is imperative that we listen to FATHER’S Wisdom and not allow ourselves to draw our own conclusions apart from HIS directives.  There is increasing division around the world and only FATHER can sort it all out.  The Truth will expose the lies which are abounding in all areas.  It is up to the mature Sons and Daughters of Our Heavenly Father to be a light in the midst of this volatility.  We must be vigilant and not allow ourselves to become complacent in our focus, trust, and faith.

Why Miracles?

Thursday, March 21st, 2019

People crave a miracle, they want a miracle in their life.  Jesus’ conception, His birth, His life, His ministry, His teaching, His death, His resurrection, His appearances, and His ascension were all based on miracles.  They were all astounding and undeniable miracles.  When the church began her ministry, it was based on miracles.  A stream of miracles flowed from the hands of the apostles, upsetting religious systems of that day, and even the Roman government trembled because of those miracles.

Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT in Matthew chapter 11:

1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities.

2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples

3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:

5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

6 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

John the Baptist had experienced the presence of Our Heavenly Father when he baptized Jesus at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry.  He was surely aware of Jesus spending forty days in the wilderness to be tested yet he questioned Jesus’ ministry.  Why?  John was in prison and Jesus did not exercise His power to deliver John from prison.  Instead, He went to spread the Gospel to the surrounding areas according to His Divine calling.  What were the confirming signs that Jesus was The One of whom John prophesied?  The astounding and undeniable miracles!

Hebrews 13:8 declares: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!  Without those miracles, Christianity would just be another religion of man’s traditions, ideas, and ceremonies.  In Mark chapter 7, Jesus challenged the religion void of FATHER’S Living Word:

5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”

6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:

‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.

What happened to FATHER’S miracle-working power among the Jews?  Their revelation was lost to religion because of their hearts.  Jesus went on to say:

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”

9 He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’

11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift to God),

12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother,

13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

When tradition replaced communion with FATHER, the miracles ceased and tradition entered in.  Religious ceremonies replaced true worship and the followers simply complied with those in charge, hoping that their ceremonies would somehow persuade FATHER to show up.  The Gospel of Christ is simple and straightforward and The Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  We should focus on HIS Word and remove man’s traditions and thinking from our midst.  This will put us in a position to expect HIS Miracle-working power in our life and men will be drawn to the Gospel of Christ.

Our Roadmap

Wednesday, March 20th, 2019

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

This verse epitomizes FATHER’S Love for you and me.  Every book of the Bible points to this reality in some fashion.  Every prophetic Word in some manner, was to bring us to this revelation spoken by FATHER’S Son.  This verse acts as a cornerstone to our entire understanding of FATHER’S Divine Intent.  In these few words, Jesus expressed the roadmap to becoming one with FATHER so we must keep this Truth in mind in all aspects of our maturing process.  Any study that detracts from this Truth or bypasses this revelation will cause us to veer off course and become double-minded at some point.

Isn’t our deepest desire to have a totally fulfilling life?  The above verse could also be expressed “I am the Way to the Truth, to the Life promoted and fully supported by FATHER”.  By THE SPIRIT, it is written in Psalm 107:

19 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.

20 He sent His Word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.

The above passage declares the importance of the Word to the children of Israel.  Mankind deals with death and destruction when separated from Our Heavenly Father.  History proves this unchanging Truth time and time again.  When left to their own devices, Israel left the path to Life only to find themselves in need of deliverance.  When man chooses to walk according to his own faculties (earthly wisdom, understanding, and knowledge), he ultimately finds his way to sickness, death, and destruction.  When man finally comes to the realization that his way leads him nowhere, he cries out to FATHER in some manner.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in John chapter 1:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

And…

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

I believe it is critical to keep this revelation at the forefront of our consciousness at all times for it was given to us by Love’s desire to keep us on the path to Life.  This revelation deals with the source of our problem- man’s ego.  The sin nature promotes death and ultimate destruction whereas The Way directs us to Life.  Anything that promotes the exalting of oneself over others is a subtle deception which will cause us to stumble.  We must be careful when our focus is drawn away by enticing words of an alternative gospel.  The straightforward revelation spoken to us by Jesus, must be kept at the forefront of our daily walk for He is the light which keeps us on the pathway to Life.

Hope

Tuesday, March 19th, 2019

Hope is the expectation of good in our lives.  Without revelation, hope would not exist for the revealing sets the expectation of a positive result.  When FATHER speaks, HE initiates hope first then faith continues to rest on the expectation of what hope established.  Love assures us of the intent which initiated hope in the first place.  FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love provides us a firm foundation of hope and faith.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 13:

13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

When FATHER has spoken to me in the past, HE initiated hope in my expectation of the future.  Three different times I was faced with death and HE assured me that I would live and not die.  Immediately, peace came over me and there was no fear to be found.  My faith rose up and I rested in HIS Word.  This is why it is so important to spend time with FATHER and study HIS Word, especially the Words of Jesus, for in them is hope to deal with every situation we face.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 5:

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

FATHER did not promise a life without trials and challenges but HE did provide a means of overcoming those challenges.  If we never read and study HIS Word, our hope diminishes because we forget those promises given specifically to us.  We must not allow ourselves to become void of HIS Word of promise but let us keep His Word before us day and night.  Many people wake up in the morning and run to their computer to check the latest social media output.  Why not run to HIS Word and allow hope to be refreshed in our minds?  Let not the work of The Holy Spirit remain dormant for we will surely be facing trials and challenges as the day wears on.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Colossians chapter 1:

24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Christ is in each of us so we should walk according to this revelation.  We should protect our vessels with this in mind.  As we remain conscious of this mystery being revealed in us, our faith will bring us to full fruition of the manifestation of His nature being expressed in us toward others.  It is truly and honor and a privilege to have this mystery revealed so that we can walk accordingly.  Let this hope guide us into the fullness of His Glory coming forth in our lives.

Our Primary Motivation

Monday, March 18th, 2019

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 22:

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Every thought and every action we take should have Love as its primary motivation.  It is up to each of us to assess our own thoughts and actions lest FATHER  find it necessary to allow us to be substantially corrected to open our eyes to our error.  As we mature in Love, the trappings of the world become of no interest and we no longer seek our way at the expense of others.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John chapter 2:

3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

There are many who are followers of Christ but the Sons and Daughters are called to be one with Christ.  When we fully grasp the revelation of Agape Love, we will abide in Christ and then we will walk just as He walked and we will see others as He sees them.  Effectively, we metaphorically become His Bride.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 11:

2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity, purity, and singleness that is in Christ.

4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

We must not allow men’s writings to move us away from the simplicity of being a pure, chaste bride betrothed to Christ.  The mind has a tendency to question and complicate matters by looking beyond the simplicity of Love as though one would find some notable mystery exalting oneself above others.  The true mystery is the simplicity of walking in Agape Love and it is right there before us if we have eyes to see.  A bride in Love is singularly focused on the bridegroom and looks for opportunities to express her Love.  Her eyes are not wandering but are fixed on the Bridegroom.  The bride does not seek to question the motives of her Lover, she only wishes to keep herself pure in His eyes.  Her desire is to be in full unity with Him, one with Him, and likewise our desire should be the same.

Let us not be deceived by the craftiness of the adversary and allow minds to be corrupted by the complexities of the world.  Let us keep our eyes fixed on being one with Christ and walk in Agape Love.

Unity With Christ

Sunday, March 17th, 2019

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 11:

3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity, purity, and singleness that is in Christ.

4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

We are the bride of Christ which means we are to be in full unity with Christ.  As we are led by THE SPIRIT in a consistent fashion, our unity is perfected and we have a singleness with Him.  This unity expresses the fullness of Love and produces the fruit of THE SPIRIT for others to receive.  Eve represents the soul of man which can be beguiled or deceived by the serpent.  The ego was lifted up and challenged the Word of Our Heavenly Father thus division was created.  Self interest always promotes division whereas submitting to THE SPIRIT promotes unity.  We must not allow ourselves to be corrupted in our minds or in our souls (Eve) and give up the unity found in Christ.  Any teaching that clearly omits the singleness of being in Christ or promotes division will corrupt our minds at some point.  We must not entertain the opinions of even well-meaning teachers who have strayed away from the simplicity, purity, and singleness that is in Christ.  We must guard ourselves from being deceived, even in the most subtle manner.

The following words from Joyce Morris give precious insight into God’s great purpose in our union with the Lamb.

She writes, “The Father has shown me in glimpses that He has an order in which the marriage of the Lamb must take place.  He also spoke very clearly and said, ‘My sons must become the Lamb.’  To become the Lamb, you must first marry and have a union with the Lamb!  As God swallows up your soul to where all that is left is Him, you become the Lamb because you are one.  In order for you to become the Lamb, you must also eat ALL the parts of the Lamb.  Just as with Israel before leaving Egypt, they had to consume the whole lamb and nothing could remain uneaten.  You have to eat the hind parts.  You have to eat the head.  You have to eat the inward parts.  You have to eat all the uncomely parts of the Lamb.  In  other words, you have to eat the Word, and the Word is the Lamb!

“John 1:14 says, ‘And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us…’  Then in chapter six we read, ‘Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.  Whosoever eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by my Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.  This is the bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever…it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE.’

“‘These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth…’ (Rev. 14:4).  In other words, THEY LIVE BY THE WORD!  But there are many parts of the Word that your flesh doesn’t want to eat — so your self-will pops up its head and says, ‘Well, that part is not for me.  I don’t need to walk that out.  That part isn’t for me, it’s for that person over there — look at what they’re doing.  I don’t have to eat that.  I can do what I want, say what I want, and think what I want.  Nobody is going to tell me what I can or can’t do.  I don’t want to love that person.  I don’t want to forgive that person.  God, I’ll give you this part of my life, but I want to keep that part for myself.’  The reason so many parts of the Word are uncomely and displeasing to the flesh, is because if you eat and digest those parts of the Word, then your soul will have to change and die out to its self-will!  The more you eat of the Lamb, the more your soul will be swallowed up.  And when God has swallowed up everything in you that is not like Him, you will have become the Lamb.  You will be totally one!  You will have entered into a place in Him where you will go out no more, and He will be all-in-all in every area of your life.  There will be no more temple within, because God will have filled the whole house, ‘…for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.’

“The marriage of the Lamb is all about God’s sons (and eventually all creation) becoming the Lamb, or taking on the nature of the Lamb through union with Christ.  It is all about two becoming one, and as you continue to go deeper and deeper in your relationship with Christ — your union is producing a Son.  As you walk in oneness with the Lamb, He is causing you to BECOME THE LAMB.  In Isaiah 4:2 we read, ‘In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious.’  Why shall the branch be beautiful and glorious?  Because the branch abides in the vine and from their union they bear the nature of God!  The branch has been thoroughly purged, or pruned, and now yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness.   In this way the bride of the Lamb has been clothed in the glory of the Son.  She has been arrayed in fine linen, clean and white.  She has put on the new man which is Christ and has come into the nature of the Lamb!  This is the way it is when you are married to the Lord!  When you keep your relationship with Him first, and take time each day to go within and commune with Him, people actually see the glory of the Lord upon you!”   — end quote.

A mature Son and Daughter will be in unity and become one with Christ!
