Well Pleased

March 25th, 2017

FATHER spoke in Matthew chapter 3:

17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Before Jesus had begun His ministry where He would soon preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and set the captives free,  FATHER was already well pleased.  The most obvious reason based on Scripture is that Jesus listened to FATHER and had responded in faith to be baptized by John in the Jordan river.  Jesus submitted to FATHER’S plan, will, and purpose in order to fulfill all righteousness:

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.

14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”

15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

In Matthew chapter 12 Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath and caused the Pharisees to plot against him on how they might destroy Him.  Their eyes were so blinded that they were unable to accept a miracle that challenged their traditions.  How many today would respond in the same manner?  If your doctrine which you have held onto for years was challenged, would you be open to change?  Many past revelations have become traditions without realizing the relevance of the revelation has passed because circumstances have changed.  We must be pliable to change according to what FATHER has in store for us.  FATHER is not in to developing habits and traditions.  John felt unworthy to baptize Jesus yet he submitted to the revelation Jesus had been given by FATHER.

In Matthew 12:

14 Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.

15 But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.

16 Yet He warned them not to make Him known,

17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

18 “Behold! My Servant whom I have chosen,

My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased!

I will put My Spirit upon Him,

And He will declare justice to the Gentiles.

Once again FATHER was well pleased with Jesus after He healed the man with the withered hand on the Sabbath.  Customs and traditions do not rule us but every Word which proceeds out of FATHER’S mouth.  As we are led by THE SPIRIT we too are well pleasing to FATHER.

On the mount of transfiguration once again FATHER expressed HIS pleasure with Jesus.  In Matthew chapter 17 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;

2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.

4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

These three events are easily associated with the three feasts: Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles and we could spend much time analyzing and assimilating the parallels.  However, isn’t it more important to embrace the revelation rather than just the information?  Hearing is the issue rather than only knowing the informational details of the three feasts.  Don’t get me wrong, the feasts are important but not at the expense of being unable to “hear”.

Faith comes by hearing and without faith it is impossible to please FATHER.  When we truly hear and respond to the Words of Jesus, The Holy Spirit, and/or FATHER then we are well pleasing!

The Only Answer

March 24th, 2017

Isaiah wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 59:

7 Their feet run to evil,

And they make haste to shed innocent blood;

Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;

Wasting and destruction are in their paths.

8 The way of peace they have not known,

And there is no justice in their ways;

They have made themselves crooked paths;

Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

The perversion across the land continues and men are redefining good and evil, truth and falsehoods, etc.  They also are continually redefining money in order to mislead the public concerning the state of the economy.  How long can this deception continue?  Is this the year when the truth comes forth and exposes the various schemes of men?  Men have become slaves to the lies being promoted for they must continue to perpetuate the lies until the truth is finally exposed.

Paul provides us the answer to the above issues in Romans chapter 6:

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is only one solution to the world’s problems and Jesus Christ is that solution.  There is no peace in the world today because men’s thoughts of iniquity promote injustice across the board.  Their perverseness is constantly increasing and become bolder to the point where they want the population to accept their perverseness by agreement or by law.  They create idols and promote those idols to the young in hope of furthering their wicked agenda.  The fact of the matter is that they simply cause confusion among the young who now challenge their own design by FATHER.

The remnant of Christ will be called upon to minister life and light to this dying world thus we must not grow weary in well doing.  Once the standard of Christ is set before this current landscape, the exposure of corruption will be revealed.  Darkness will no longer be able to hide.

Love is a more powerful force than any devices of man.  In the end Love will prevail so let us proceed on and bring ourselves to full maturity in our relationship with FATHER.  Will there be tests along the way?  Most assuredly.  But we must not let the temporal determine the outcome of our lives.  We must cling to the Promises in The Word that FATHER inspired men to write for our benefit.  What the Word doesn’t reveal, FATHER will as we move to a closer relationship with HIM.  It is not complicated thus we are not required to possess superior mental faculties.  Instead, FATHER want us to be willing vessels of honor for life to flow through for the benefit of mankind.  In Proverbs 15, Wisdom spoke:

1 A soft answer turns away wrath,

But a harsh word stirs up anger.

2 The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly,

But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.

3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place,

Keeping watch on the evil and the good.

4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,

But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

5 A fool despises his father’s instruction,

But he who receives correction is prudent.

6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,

But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge,

But the heart of the fool does not do so.

8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD,

But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD,

But He loves him who follows righteousness.

Wisdom comes from Above, Love comes from Above, and Jesus Christ came from Above and is now there as our advocate.  He is the only answer to the world’s issues at hand so let us become part of that answer by being fully aligned with Him.

What Is Truth?

March 23rd, 2017

Over the centuries philosophers have been asking that very question and many have developed philosophies centered around their own intellectual opinions.  Philosophy is defined as the love of wisdom in its broadest terms and that should give us a hint to the answer to our question.

The Beloved Disciple John wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 18 when Jesus was brought before Pilate:

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”

Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.

Truth only originates with FATHER and Jesus bore witness of FATHER thus He bore witness of the Truth.  Those who are followers of Christ and hear His voice are of the Truth. Jesus spoke in chapter 4:

24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Again in chapter 8:

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Again in chapter 14:

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Philosophers have resisted the obvious.  Truth and wisdom can only be found with The Creator for that is where all reality originates.  There are those who seek Wisdom solely from Scripture and that is not a bad thing.  However Jesus did not have the New Testament to reference but instead He sought and heard FATHER’S Voice in all matters.  If we want to know Truth, we must do the same.

Jesus revealed that after He was to depart, The Holy Spirit would be sent to us and provide us Truth on a day to day basis.  In John 16 Jesus spoke:

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

As we are be led by THE SPIRIT then we will walk in Truth.  All those books on Philosophy are not needed for we have tapped into the Source of all Truth and Wisdom.  The world’s philosophers’ bodies still reside in their tombs yet the One Who bore witness of The Truth is sitting at the right hand of FATHER.  His tomb is empty!

Dealing With Pride

March 22nd, 2017

In 1 John chapter 2, the Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT:

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

The pride of life may be the most subtle issue of the three worldly aspects mentioned above.  Pride is defined as haughtiness, arrogance, the character of one who, with a swollen estimate of his own powers or merits, looks down on others and even treats them with insolence and contempt.  It is also defined as one who boasts of personal achievements and possessions; one who trusts in the stability of earthly things.  I suspect many of us have fallen into the trap of bringing attention to ourselves at the expense of others.  I know I have had to repent of past acts and am thankful for FATHER’S grace and mercy toward me.

Pride attempts to exalt oneself relative to others, especially in past accomplishments and/or possessions.  Athletes who excelled in college sports still cling to such accomplishments decades later in order to establish their identity.  Instead, our identity should be with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior for He assured us of eternal life.  Personal achievements and possessions all pass away and are no longer relevant to our lives.  Old trophies simply gather dust and no one really cares now.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 3 and made this very point:

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!

3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so:

5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;

6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith

You don’t have to be highly successful in order to have a pride issue for it is all relative.  Winning an argument may be your source of pride or any other means of exalting yourself among others.  Let us count our past achievements and possessions as “rubbish” relative to the enduring righteousness found in Christ.  Paul urges us in Romans chapter 12:

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Let not worldly pride be found among us but allow FATHER’S Love be the means by which we interact with others.  Toss the trophies for the past is the past.  Your or my opinion and $5.00 will buy a latte at Starbucks.

According To Your Works

March 21st, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 2:

6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds (works)”:

7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,

9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

11 For there is no partiality with God.

We are to be vessels of honor for FATHER’S use and if we do nothing for the Kingdom then what reward should we expect?  The Holy Spirit did not move upon men to write “The Book of Thoughts” but instead “The Book of Acts”.  If FATHER speaks one Word to each of us every day for the purpose of going forth and ministering according to HIS Divine Intent then the Kingdom would be growing exponentially.  Is it because our faith is lacking?  Are we afraid of missing the mark and failing?  Do we ask for an outward sign before we are willing to take action?

James wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 1:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Are we going to wait until a supernatural event occurs before we go out and do good works?  Have we entered into a comfort zone amongst all our study aids and thus postponed going about and spreading the Gospel by Word and deed?  The absolute least one could do is to support ministries that are spreading the Gospel.  Even then people make excuse by looking for a reason not to give.  Their logic and reasoning would say the ministry doesn’t need our help or they are in error in some aspect of their doctrine.  Have we been fully perfected yet?  If that were true then all of us would be busy doing good works and would not need this writing to urge us to act.

Paul and the other disciples were actively spreading the Gospel throughout the known world and signs followed them because Jesus was working with them.  In Acts chapter 8 Philip provides us an excellent example:

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.

6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

8 And there was great joy in that city.

Philip did not have the New Testament at his disposal nor did he have commentaries to refer to as he preached the Gospel.  He was led by The Holy Spirit and relied on the Words spoken by Jesus Christ.  Those Words were alive in his spirit and he produced good fruit, also known as good works.

Built On The Word

March 20th, 2017

The Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John 2:

3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

If we want the Love of FATHER perfected in us then we need to keep HIS Word and commandments.  What a simple directive given to us by FATHER!  HE sent THE WORD in the flesh known as Jesus Christ and thus as we read, study, hear, and walk according to His Words and commandments our Love will be perfected.  Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 22:

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

The Law guides us in our actions now and the Prophets set an expectation of manifestation in the future, both being motivated by Love.  Our present and future should be based on Love as we adhere to these great Commandments reaffirmed by Jesus Christ.  As we embrace FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love and know that every Word from HIM is intended for our good, then our faith will become strong in The Word.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Hebrews chapter 11:

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 10:

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Love and faith are both centered around FATHER’S Word.  Love is now and faith prophesies and assures us of the physical manifestation of FATHER’S Words, commitments, and promises toward us.  HIS Word gives us hope as we deal with the issues of life by establishing the solution which will overcome our specific problems.  HE did not promise us that there would be no obstacles and challenges but HE did provide us the means to overcome.  As we make it our daily commitment to read, study, and meditate on HIS Word, the solution to life’s problems will present themselves to us in whatever manner FATHER chooses to employ.  Let us not put HIM in a box and try to dictate how the solution ought to come but let us trust in HIS Wisdom to bring forth the solution by the most expedient means.  Sometimes HE will surprise us in how HE deals with our problems.

As we build and establish ourselves on HIS pure Word, our life will be enriched and we should purpose to minister HIS Love to those around us.

I Am With You

March 19th, 2017

Jesus spoke in Matthew 28:

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All power and authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen

Jesus is with us today and we should expect Him to empower us to fulfill the Great Commission.  If there is one verse to memorize it is Hebrews chapter 13:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

This particular verse must become one with you and me to the point where we have zero doubt in us.  You cannot separate the FATHER, Son, and Holy Spirit thus the Spirit of Christ is in us and ready to work through us for the benefit of mankind.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 8:

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

FATHER gives life to our mortal bodies and empowers us to walk out our calling which includes ministry to others.  We should not withhold the Good News from anyone whom FATHER sends across our path.  The Holy Spirit will show us who is ready to receive and thus we must not concern ourselves and be hesitant to minister life.  Thankfully FATHER sent someone to each of us so that we could become citizens of HIS Kingdom so let us not be reluctant to do the same for the benefit of others.  There is plenty of room for all.

We must not let pride keep us from being open with others.  It is not a sign of weakness to share our faith but instead it is a sign of strength to be open about it.  As we are led by THE SPIRIT we are operating as vessels of honor and expressing FATHER’S heart toward mankind.  Paul continued in Romans chapter 8:

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,

17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Jesus went about preaching the Gospel, healing the sick, and setting the captives free.  Would He do anything different today as He did 2,000 years ago?  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  As Sons, shouldn’t we embrace His example?  If we truly believe Jesus is with each of us today then let us prepare to minister in the same manner.  Mark wrote by THE SPIRIT the confirming Word:

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen

The Need For Encouragement

March 18th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 2:

19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.

20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

22 But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it goes with me.

24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself shall also come shortly.

Everyone has the need to hear encouraging words and Paul was no exception.  Paul spent much time traveling to various places in order to spread the Gospel with the occasional shipwreck, incarceration, and other such perils.  He wrote the epistles by THE SPIRIT and was at peace about their content.  However, he looked forward to hearing about the results.  We all need feedback when we are walking out our calling day in and day out.  Paul was sending Timothy whom he trusted because of Timothy’s character of service.   Paul wanted a true assessment of the fruit coming forth among the Philippians.

In Romans chapter 12 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.

8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other (NLT)

Words of encouragement and acts of kindness are important to relationships.  Jesus came to encourage the world with Words of encouragement from FATHER.  He spread the Good News and it continues this very day.  Let us be sensitive to others and affirm their importance by expressing encouraging words.  Look for opportunities on a daily basis to encourage others in a genuine manner.  Take interest in their wellbeing and represent the Love of FATHER.  FATHER will surely take note for HE is particularly fond of you!

Giving The Gift Of Love

March 17th, 2017

Redemption and restoration are two of the greatest expressions of Love.  Can you think of any better gifts for FATHER to give those who accept Jesus Christ into their hearts?  Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 3:

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Please ponder the above passage for a minute.  Doesn’t this passage express the intent of the writings FATHER  provides me on a daily basis?  Those who have focused their attention to the content of each day’s blog must surely sense change occurring in their life.  It is out of Love we plant seed into those who are open, willing, and diligent in reading the Word FATHER provides each day and it is up to FATHER to provide the increase.  I know FATHER is especially fond of those of us who give HIM the firstfruits of the day which reflects our priority toward HIM.  The “fullness of GOD must also include health since our bodies are subject to HIS healing power.  It is written by THE SPIRIT in Hebrews chapter 11:

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him,for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Wisdom cries out in Proverbs chapter 8:

17 I love those who love me,

And those who seek me diligently will find me.

Our greatest priority should be to walk according to FATHER’S expressed direction, whether it be by HIS written Word or by HIS spoken Word by HIS SPIRIT to us.  Every Word is a gift of Love toward us and we should receive it accordingly.  Once we become accustomed to hearing HIS Word on a daily basis then we should prepare ourselves to express HIS Word to others in the same manner.  Our expression can be by Word of deed as the need dictates.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Timothy chapter 2:

1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

If we don’t share in Love the Gospel of Jesus Christ then there will be those who are led astray because of their own desires and “itching” ears (an insatiable curiosity to hear new things).  Isn’t this being promoted by easy access to the Internet?  This is one of the reasons FATHER urges us to live in moderation including “surfing” the Internet.  It is better to be quiet and wait on FATHER for an hour than to spend the same time doing Internet searches to satisfy the itchy ears.

As we share Love with those who have willing ears they will gain perspective and realize the error of their ways.  Their emptiness will be filled with FATHER’S Love which will in turn produce positive changes in their life.  This is one aspect of giving the gift of Love.

Created For Good Works

March 16th, 2017

How do we prove our faith?  Trust… trust in the finished work of Christ in you.  What else can you truly trust in?  Is there any among us who is absolutely reliable?  Only FATHER’S Word has a certainty attached to it that no other can claim.  Everyday we trust in FATHER’S ability to create a universe which stays in equilibrium.  We trust HIS results in keeping the sun in its orbit as well as the planets maintaining their circuit.

Do we trust that Jesus paid enough of a price for all aspects of our redemption and healing?  Is there a limit to the number of people who are able to receive salvation by His Blood?  Jesus paid the supreme price to restore us to FATHER and we should trust in that reality.  Jesus became your and my substitute in order that we could become “Sons of GOD” and all that comes with such restoration.  The beloved disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 John chapter 3:

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

We are not only to trust FATHER because of HIS Love for us but also express that same Love for our brothers and sisters.  Love is the greatest aspect of our character but we must not forget to please FATHER by walking in faith and trusting IN HIM.  When FATHER looks at you and me, HE sees us through the righteousness of Jesus Christ.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 5:

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus took on all our sin which resulted in us taking on His righteousness thus we should expect nothing less than FATHER’S willingness to respond to us in the same manner as HE responded to Jesus.  As we trust in HIS Word, we should expect similar results as Jesus when He proclaimed He did only what FATHER showed Him to do.  By FATHER’S Power are we able to destroy the works of the devil.  Because we trust in Christ and His blood, we are able to walk without fear and are able to spread the Gospels to those whom FATHER is drawing to us.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 2:

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Works don’t redeem us but instead they reflect the flow of Love through us to others after our redemption has taken place.  What would happen if every believer became serious in doing good works for FATHER, not as an occasional practice but as a daily focus?  We all know that actions speak louder than words and as we Love our enemies with good works they become our allies.  The following from Jude is my prayer for both you and me:

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,

And to present you faultless

Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

25 To God our Savior,

Who alone is wise,

Be glory and majesty,

Dominion and power,
