Trusting In HIS Word

March 15th, 2017

Our salvation came forth by HIS Word, nothing else.  Heaven and earth were created by HIS Word, nothing else.  Given this Truth, let us each determine to trust FATHER’S Word more than any other word coming forth from alternative sources.  The original sin was not eating the fruit but instead was distrusting FATHER’S Word concerning the fruit.  The action was secondary to the lack of trust.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 2:

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

My salvation came forth by FATHER’S Word.  My baptism of The Holy Spirit came forth by FATHER’S Word as well and both of these events were gifts from FATHER.  I did nothing to deserve salvation but by FATHER’S love, goodwill, and mercy did HE save me from death and destruction.  We are created in Christ for good works as well as a good testimony.  If we are not reflecting a good testimony then we must make the needed corrections in our lives to change the situation.  If we don’t then why would anyone want to give their life to Christ?

In Hebrews 11 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him,for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Are we diligently seeking HIM with all our hearts?  Are we taking steps to fully trust IN HIM rather than man’s logic and reasoning?  FATHER rewards us as we diligently seek HIM.  With what?  Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and sufficiency in all things.

Faith is believing that what FATHER said is true.  Faith means you expect FATHER to do what HE promised to do and that is why faith comes by hearing the Word of GOD.  Without hearing or reading HIS Word, we don’t know what HE promised to do.  How can you expect FATHER to do what HE promised if you don’t know HIS Word?  These writings are intended to expose you to HIS promises so that you can develop faith to have these promises operating in your life.  Is up to each of us to read, study, dwell upon, and memorize if necessary HIS Word until we fully trust in HIS Word at a personal level.  Once we know FATHER’S promise and expect HIM to do it, that is faith.  Faith is accepting FATHER’S promises and being so convinced they are true that you act on them despite anything that contradicts them.

In Mark chapter 11 Jesus spoke:

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.”

Whether FATHER’S Word seems reasonable or not, have faith IN HIM for Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith by the results He produced on the cross.  Our salvation is the first testimony of our trust IN FATHER’S ability to redeem us from sin and death but let us not stop there.  For FATHER made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21).

Those who do not trust FATHER are subject to sin and death, as the Law requires.  However, Peter wrote by THE SPIRIT in his second epistle chapter 3:

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

It is FATHER’S will that we trust HIS Word in order for none to perish.  This is what Love does for Love has no pleasure in man perishing or suffering.  This Love was expressed in John chapter 3:

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus became our substitute and died to bear our sin, pain, and punishment so that we would not have to suffer the consequences of sin ourselves.  Do we have faith in what Jesus did for our salvation?  If so, let us believe FATHER’S Word in other areas as well, especially healing.  You may say “I’m not sick so why focus in that area?”.  If you know someone who is sick then shouldn’t you Love them enough to find a solution to their problem?  Isn’t that what Love does?  Let us minister to a dying and hurting world but in order to do that we must know FATHER’S Word and trust in IT as well.

Glorify FATHER In Our Body

March 14th, 2017

In 1 Corinthians chapter 6 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

If we are HIS earthly representatives then shouldn’t we conduct ourselves accordingly?  Are not most of the epistles written to instruct us on how to conduct ourselves and interact with others?  We are to be “light” unto the world so let us do so in all aspects of our life.  Let us live in moderation in all things.

In 3 John the Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT:

2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

We are to expect success in our health for when Jesus died on the cross, He also included healing of our bodies as part of that work for “by His stripes we are healed”.  I know this can be one of the most difficult aspects of achieving success for those of us who have had to deal with sickness and disease.  I have had my own trials in this area as well.  There are times when our bodies scream out and challenge our resolve to be healed by FATHER.

I am convinced that the constant external promotion of the current healthcare and pharma industries have impacted our minds by planting their “seeds” into us.  Thirty years ago there weren’t drugstores on every corner.  AM/PM clinics did not exist.  You never saw a pharma commercial on TV.  Now they rule the advertising revenue of the media.  We must dig up their seed and plant FATHER’S seed of healing in our lives.

We must not allow our minds to rely on lower forms of solutions but instead pursue Heavenly solutions to our issues.  The less effective solutions may be needed until we build ourselves up in HIS Pure Word.  Jesus never criticized the sick for their past actions in an attempt to gain relief.  In Luke chapter 8 Jesus addressed the woman with the issue of blood:

43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,

44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”  When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.”

47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.

48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Notice that Jesus was not critical of the woman for her past attempts to be healed.  He did not speak ill of the physicians either.  In His compassion He healed her and called her “Daughter”, an expression of endearment.  Let none of us put a guilt trip on ourselves because in our desperation for relief we sought out a temporary solution.  Jesus came not to be critical but to encourage and provide a true solution to dis-ease and dis-comfort.

I hear of reports weekly concerning believers who are dealing with sickness, disease, and are at the point of death due to disease.  How can I be of service to the brethren?  By bringing into focus what FATHER thinks and says about health and healing.  Yes there are those who are currently healthy but when the attack arrives on your doorstep, you need to be prepared.  Studying Scriptures 20 years ago in the area of faith, healing, and health is similar to planting a crop that long ago and expecting it to produce fruit today.  We need to keep FATHER’S Word before us day and night.  How can we minister to the world if we have nothing tangible to offer?  Let us prepare this year to be examples to a dying and hurting world and glorify FATHER by allowing HIS anointing to flow to us and through us for others.

Missing It

March 13th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in 1 John chapter 5:

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

If is FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love to redeem us as well as restore us and make us whole.  We must seek out HIS Promises in HIS Word and stand on HIS Word.  Most who read these blogs have been redeemed by the Blood of The Lamb and are certain of their salvation.  The wicked one does not typically attack us in the area of redemption unless we are newly established believers.  Instead, he will attack us in the areas where we are not as strong even though at one time we were.

I must confess that in looking back over the course of my life, I have been taken off course by teachings that appeared to be appropriate at the time.  I have always been cautious in departing from those circles hoping to ultimately find some good fruit.  I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.  In my case, my wife has been the best barometer in determining the purity of the teaching.  Her spirit is highly sensitive, much more than mine it seems, and I have found if she doesn’t embrace the path of teaching then I probably shouldn’t either.

What do we do when we come to the realization that we have missed it in some manner?  Get back into the simplicity of The Word, especially the Words of Jesus.  After all He is the earthly manifestation and example of FATHER to give us perspective.

Step 1 is to repent.

Step 2 is to be cleansed by The Word and wash away any teachings that have been embraced but are not fully aligned with the teachings of Jesus.  The sooner the better.

Step 3 is to pray in accordance with the above passage.  We must know FATHER’S Will in an area in order to pray accordingly.

Men will use cunning devices and words to entice us to their way of thinking.  We must be ever vigilant in protecting ourselves from such attempts to steer us away from the narrow path.  As we trust in the Holy Spirit in us to provide either peace or that “check” about such teaching and direction, we will be back on course with FATHER.

In the last days there will be much deception and gross darkness in the world.  In Mark 13 Jesus spoke:

22 “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

23 But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.”

We have been warned by Jesus of the times we are now in.  We must protect our hearts and our minds from much deception and gross darkness.  Be assured we will be attacked in the area of our weakness thus we must place our trust in FATHER, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit.  We must resist the devil and he will flee.  As I have been rereading the New Testament without any preconceived notion, FATHER is showing me how those past teachings I have been exposed to were off the mark.  They seemed right at the time but I missed it.  What was I thinking?  I was probably caught up in pride and those who were teaching did a fine job of stroking it.  FATHER, I repent!

Now, back to the simplicity of Jesus Christ’s message.

Glorifying FATHER

March 12th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 6:

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Are we representing FATHER in a manner acceptable in HIS sight?  Do we promote life by our words and actions or do we send out conflicting signals to those around us?  In John chapter 14, Jesus spoke:

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

We must get past any unworthiness we have held onto because of our past.  We are a new creation and the old things have passed away so let us leave them where they belong… in the past.  Both Peter and Paul things occur in the past which could plague them if they allowed it.  Instead, they embraced the Words of Jesus and accept the reality that they were a new creation.  There is not one person except Jesus who could look to their past without regrets.  We need to quit beating ourselves up concerning the past and move on.  We are to glorify FATHER in our walk for that is our mandate now.

Jesus glorified FATHER by preaching the Good News of redemption and healing the sick for both areas express the Divine Intent of Love by FATHER.  If we are to walk in the same footsteps as Jesus, we must embrace both results of the cross.  We must overcome past failures and assimilate FATHER’S Word into every aspect of our being.  Rather than just focusing on the Word and its power flowing from Heaven to earth with ourselves being the final destination, we must mature to the point where the Heavenly flow passes through us to others.  We are called to be vessels of honor and minister to the hurting world by employing what we receive from Above.

Does sickness in our bodies glorify FATHER?  Certainly not.  Let us overcome sickness and disease by focusing on the Word concerning healing and restoration.  We must get the “world” out of us and some of us have layers upon layers which need to be removed.  How long will it take?  As long as is necessary due to our individual circumstances.  We must not be dissuaded from pressing in and clearing out any and all worldliness impeding our restoration.  FATHER’S Word must overcome all of the world’s logic, reasoning, and tradition.

In John chapter 11 Jesus spoke to Mary:

40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

Did Lazarus’ death glorify FATHER?  Jesus had already proclaimed “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”  The death of Lazarus was not the focus but being raised from the dead is what Jesus referred to in His response to Mary.  What was the result of the miracle?

45 Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him.

This is what separates us from the philosophies and religions of the world… results.  We must move into the higher realm and allow Heaven to flow through us to confirm the Good News with signs following.  This is central to glorifying FATHER.  How do we move higher?  By changing our priorities and dealing with fear, uncertainty, and doubt.  HIS Word must be first and foremost in our consciousness.  We must plant HIS Seed on a daily basis with the expectation of good fruit coming forth.  We sow but FATHER provides the increase.

Dealing With The Accuser

March 11th, 2017

The devil is mentioned over 170 times in Scripture by his various names:  Satan, devil, wicked one, thief, etc.  We must acknowledge that as we mature in Christ we will confront the works of the devil in our walk.  Before Jesus began His public ministry He went into the wilderness to be tested by the devil.  Each time Jesus was tempted, He responded by reciting The Word- “It is written…” and refuted the devil in his attempt to snare Jesus.  The devil would use the term “if” in order to create doubt in FATHER’S Word.  Thankfully it did not work with Jesus and His response should be a lesson for us as well.  What happened when the devil could not tempt Jesus?  In Matthew 4:11 “Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”  FATHER’S Word defeats the works of the devil.

In the Revelation of Jesus Christ, it is written in chapter 12:

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

What was the word of their testimony?  It was the sure Word spoken by FATHER, it is every Word, promise, and declaration given by HIM for our use and benefit.  Jesus declared in John chapter 10:

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus provided this contrast for us to consider when judging fruit.  Do words and actions promote life or death, restoration or destruction?  Let us not become instruments of the devil by promoting his agenda.  Instead we are to promote life and restoration to all mankind.  The Beloved Disciple in 1 John chapter 3 wrote by THE SPIRIT:

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

There are those who wish to be called Overcomers or Sons of GOD thus we must pursue the same narrow path Jesus referenced.  Jesus’ ministry included destroying the works of the devil thus our ministry should be the same.  We must not be ignorant of the accuser for he will use subtle means in order to knock us off track and pursue “rabbit holes”.  Unforgiveness can quickly cause you problems in your walk.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 2:

5 But if anyone has caused grief, he has not grieved me, but all of you to some extent—not to be too severe.

6 This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man,

7 so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.

8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.

9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.

10 Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

We must Love and forgive those who cause us grief and not allow Satan a foothold in our life.  Anything that causes division and separation must be exposed and dealt with accordingly.  We must not let discord be sown among the brethren and steal our peace.  James urged us in by THE SPIRIT in chapter 4:

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

If we submit to FATHER’S Word which is sure and certain, then we will not be double-minded and the Word of our testimony will overcome the devil when we are tempted by him.  Just as Jesus dealt with the devil by FATHER’S sure Word, we too must know HIS Word and be prepared when our test confronts us.  If the devil was not an issue, there would be no teaching nor warnings concerning his devices and destructive nature.  We must prepare ourselves accordingly.

Two-Fold Redemption

March 10th, 2017

Jesus died on the cross to provide us with both redemption and healing.  Most people accept redemption but have a challenge with the healing and restoration aspect of Jesus’ work on the cross.

Let’s consider the days before the curse when Adam was in the garden.  In Genesis chapter 2 FATHER spoke:

15 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

FATHER gave Adam a simple commandment to follow and also told him of the consequences of breaking the commandment.  FATHER expected Adam to Love HIM and trust HIS Word but the serpent brought mistrust into the picture:

3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

Adam questioned FATHER’S Love, trust, and Word resulting in being removed from the garden and then he took on the fallen nature.  Adam was taken in by the deception of the devil and began the process of dying though it took centuries to accomplish.  But FATHER’S Love initiated a plan for redemption and restoration.  First HE prophesied by various means and specifically in Isaiah chapter 53.  Consider closely every word spoken:

3 He is despised and rejected by men,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

We have turned, every one, to his own way;

And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus went to the cross to redeem us from the curse brought on by Adam.  His blood dealt with our sins and His body taking on stripes dealt with all our sicknesses and diseases.  Jesus satisfied the requirement for both redemption and restoration for His sacrifice was complete.  Our bodies are meant to live and not die due to sickness or disease and Jesus’ sacrifice had no exclusions.  Love is not incomplete in its Divine Intent.  Before the fall, Adam had no sickness or disease thus after the work of Christ, we are meant to walk in the same state.  Most people have accepted the salvation aspect of the cross but have yet to embrace the healing aspect.  However Peter reminds us by THE SPIRIT in his first epistle chapter 2:

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Our healing has already been accounted for at the cross.  Let us embrace the fullness of Jesus’ sacrifice and honor Him by extolling Him with our praise and gratitude.  FATHER’S Plan was not a partial plan of redemption but it considered all aspects of our life.  Let not fear, uncertainty, or doubt enter in as we embrace all aspects of the cross for by His stripes you and I are healed… no exceptions!

When we take communion, let us receive His blood for our redemption and  assimilate His body into ours for healing and restoration.  Let us not receive His body as a “common” custom and grieve THE SPIRIT.  As His body nourishes ours, the healing aspects of His Divine Life are to be received for our restoration.  Think about it.

Faith Is Active

March 9th, 2017

Those who promote the view that we don’t have choice effectively encourage a “passive” faith.  What’s the point if FATHER has already determined the outcome independent of any choice we make?  FATHER give us the ability to choose and thus within that ability, we can and should exercise faith in HIS Word to produce an expected outcome.  We have the right to choose life or death but FATHER urges us to choose life.  In Deuteronomy chapter 30 FATHER spoke:

19  “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”

We have the choice to walk by faith or by sight but FATHER urges us to walk by faith and not be moved by our temporary circumstances.  In Romans chapter 8, Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Our flesh along with the five physical senses wants us to trust in what we see rather than FATHER’S Word.  If that doesn’t work, our mind’s logic and reasoning want us to trust in what we comprehend rather than trust in what we cannot understand by our faculties.  Our spirit man is meant to lead and guide us through life by connecting with FATHER in all situations.  This requires active faith.  In Hebrews chapter 11 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

6 But without faith it is impossible to please HIM,for he who comes to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM.

We must be diligent in our seeking.  These writings are intended to renew your mind and refresh your resolve to live in the simplicity of Christ.  You don’t have to know Greek or Hebrew in order to please FATHER.  Noah had no Scripture reference to analyze to the nth degree in order to build the ark.  He simply believed the Word from FATHER, trusted HIM, and exercised his faith by acting on that Word.  Abraham did the same.

In order for our faith to be effective, we must exercise it based on a promise or Word given to us by FATHER.  As we learn about the Character of FATHER, we are able to discern what HIS Will is in the area of need.  HE HIMSELF told us that HE is Jehovah Rapha “THE LORD WHO HEALETH THEE” so we can pray and exercise our faith in the area of healing and restoration.

When we focus on predictions voiced by men of what will soon happen, they can have a negative impact on our faith.  The second coming of Christ was predicted in 1988, 1993, 1996, 1999, 2000, etc.  Because we believed the predictions, we tended to become passive in our own day-to-day life assuming that we should make no plans or set expectations beyond Christ’s second coming.  Let us be about FATHER’S business until such a time arrives and quit focusing on man’s predictions labeled as “prophecies”.

James wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 2:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Those who are reluctant to give to others in essence do not really believe FATHER is Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14).  There is no need to feel guilty of this lack of faith in HIS ability to provide but instead read, dwell, and meditate on HIS Word day and night until HIS Word in the area of provision is planted and producing fruit, but most of all focus on your relationship with HIM.  You can be void of HIS Word in one area and be fruitful in another.  We need to lead a well-balanced life in HIS Word so that we are able to walk in the same manner as our elder brother Jesus.  In Matthew 17, Jesus spoke:

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Faith turns impossibility into reality.  FATHER speaks before manifestation occurs.  Our five physical senses want to “see it to believe it” thus it requires no faith after the fact.  Jesus spoke in Luke 18:

27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

Let us believe the Words of Jesus and trust FATHER to deal with the apparent “impossible” in whatever area we are lacking.  FATHER’S Love is what motivates HIM to respond to our prayer and fulfill HIS Word in our life.  However HE expects us to do our part and activate our faith IN HIS ability to bring forth the fruitfulness of HIS Word.  In Matthew chapter 9:

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”

28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Jesus further proclaimed in Matthew chapter 7:

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

We are commanded to Love HIM first and foremost.  There is nothing we can do to muster up Love.  Let us esteem FATHER above all else and let us act on HIS Word in faith through Love.

The Importance of Prayer

March 8th, 2017

In Mathew chapter 6, Jesus spoke:

5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.”

and …

45 Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.

46 And when He had sent them away, He (Jesus) departed to the mountain to pray.

FATHER does not need our prayers, we are the ones who benefit from prayer.  We are to pray for our sake and reaffirm our reliance and trust in FATHER as the One Who meets all our needs.  Prayer keeps our relationship in proper order and alignment.  A life without prayer causes us to become distant and somewhat disconnected in our relationship with HIM.  If Jesus was a proponent of prayer, we too should be a proponent.

Jesus gave us a simple, effective prayer to work from. He said:

9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

I advocate the relationship of “FATHER” rather than GOD.  HE is my FATHER and supplier of all my need.  I am HIS Son just as my elder brother Jesus is HIS Son.  I know FATHER Loves me and HIS Divine Intent toward me is always for my good.

In Mark chapter 11, Jesus spoke:

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Faith is required “when you pray” for faith sees, knows, and trusts the answer to prayer before the physical evidence is observed by one or more of the five physical senses.  Faith requires us to believe that we receive from FATHER even though the circumstances are in conflict with what we prayed.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 5:

7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

We need not pray with repetition as though we must convince FATHER to do HIS Will.  HE wants HIS Will carried out in our lives.  HE gives us HIS Word which contains the promises HE has committed to fulfilling.  If you ask amiss, you cannot expect your prayer to be answered.  This is why we must study, dwell, and meditate on HIS Word so that when we pray, we know our prayers are in alignment with HIS Will.  Let us keep fervent prayer as a priority in our life.

Being Pragmatic

March 7th, 2017

The word pragmatic means dealing with things sensibly and realistically in a way that is based on practical rather than theoretical considerations; the consequence of belief.  All seed prophesies its own future and there is no better example than that of FATHER’S prophesied Word.  HIS various prophecies span thousands of years and have been confirmed time and time again.  Why would we doubt HIS Word unless we have yet to read, study, and meditate on it.  Both my wife and I have documented miraculous healings In our past so why we would challenge the veracity of FATHER’S Word concerning healing?  Why would we digress to some less effective path?  If we take another path it is due to our fear, unbelief, and/or hardness of heart.

There are consequences to believing philosophies, opinions, and traditions rather than FATHER’S Word.  People are suffering every day because they placed their trust elsewhere.  Paul warned in 1 Timothy chapter 4 by THE SPIRIT:

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,

3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;

5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Each of us can only serve one master and we only need to consider the consequences of belief to determine what path to take.  The only One whose grave is empty is Our Lord Jesus Christ.  The graves of the great prophets who influenced the masses have one thing in common- they are all occupied.  FATHER’S Word contains the problem-solving quality and those who adhere to HIS Word find resolution and success.  Those who truly understand this quality in their lives are known as overcomers.  They don’t have less challenges, they simply have more pragmatic and successful results.

We can flow with FATHER’S prophetic Word or we can resist it by departing from the faith and giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.  In order to flow with HIS Word, we must become familiar with what HE says concerning our situation.  This allows us to have knowledge to support our practical action in response.  In the Revelation of Jesus Christ it is written by THE SPIRIT in chapter 4:

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were created.”

WHO better to seek out when we have a problem to solve such as being sick or afflicted?  FATHER created us so if anyone knows the solution to our health issue, it is HIM for HE designed our body to heal itself.  HE knows what is preventing its normal function or restoration whether it be in the Spiritual or the physical… or both.

We do not have to agree with those who claim to have greater revelation or knowledge of Scripture than us.  If FATHER speaks to us then we should heed HIS Word even if it is in direct opposition or conflict with man’s teaching.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Galatians chapter 1:

11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.

12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

We must not esteem men over FATHER’S Word.  Paul made the above statement to clarify what he previously wrote:

6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,

7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.’’

Let us be pragmatic and not be counted among the foolish Galatians who were being bewitched so that they should not obey the Truth.  An idealist is a person who is guided more by ideals than by practical considerations.  They tend to overlook the evidence which would negate their view.  FATHER tells us to inspect the fruit and if there is no fruit, beware.  The miracles in Paul’s ministry proved his apostleship for signs, wonders, and mighty deeds followed his ministry.  This is the pragmatic result of being a follower of Christ.  We must take heed to the results which come from FATHER.  Jesus preached, signs and wonders followed.  Let us take action based on the revelation of what we have been given.  By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 2:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Let’s get practical and act on The Word!

Thank You
