In 1 Corinthians chapter 6 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
If we are HIS earthly representatives then shouldn’t we conduct ourselves accordingly? Are not most of the epistles written to instruct us on how to conduct ourselves and interact with others? We are to be “light” unto the world so let us do so in all aspects of our life. Let us live in moderation in all things.
In 3 John the Beloved Disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT:
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
We are to expect success in our health for when Jesus died on the cross, He also included healing of our bodies as part of that work for “by His stripes we are healed”. I know this can be one of the most difficult aspects of achieving success for those of us who have had to deal with sickness and disease. I have had my own trials in this area as well. There are times when our bodies scream out and challenge our resolve to be healed by FATHER.
I am convinced that the constant external promotion of the current healthcare and pharma industries have impacted our minds by planting their “seeds” into us. Thirty years ago there weren’t drugstores on every corner. AM/PM clinics did not exist. You never saw a pharma commercial on TV. Now they rule the advertising revenue of the media. We must dig up their seed and plant FATHER’S seed of healing in our lives.
We must not allow our minds to rely on lower forms of solutions but instead pursue Heavenly solutions to our issues. The less effective solutions may be needed until we build ourselves up in HIS Pure Word. Jesus never criticized the sick for their past actions in an attempt to gain relief. In Luke chapter 8 Jesus addressed the woman with the issue of blood:
43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,
44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.”
47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Notice that Jesus was not critical of the woman for her past attempts to be healed. He did not speak ill of the physicians either. In His compassion He healed her and called her “Daughter”, an expression of endearment. Let none of us put a guilt trip on ourselves because in our desperation for relief we sought out a temporary solution. Jesus came not to be critical but to encourage and provide a true solution to dis-ease and dis-comfort.
I hear of reports weekly concerning believers who are dealing with sickness, disease, and are at the point of death due to disease. How can I be of service to the brethren? By bringing into focus what FATHER thinks and says about health and healing. Yes there are those who are currently healthy but when the attack arrives on your doorstep, you need to be prepared. Studying Scriptures 20 years ago in the area of faith, healing, and health is similar to planting a crop that long ago and expecting it to produce fruit today. We need to keep FATHER’S Word before us day and night. How can we minister to the world if we have nothing tangible to offer? Let us prepare this year to be examples to a dying and hurting world and glorify FATHER by allowing HIS anointing to flow to us and through us for others.
