Most people can walk in faith when there is no pressure applied but the real test is when pressure increases dramatically. This usually occurs when the world gives you a negative report in direct opposition to what FATHER’S Word says. “By His stripes we are healed” is a faith-filled confession of FATHER’S Word but when your body and the doctor have a report of sickness and disease. what do you do? You must decide who you are going to align yourself with.
Will we place our trust in FATHER or man? The pain will cry out in an attempt to confirm the body’s response and position but we must not settle for this temporary situation. In Matthew chapter 8, Jesus made a very important point:
23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.
25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
We must deal with fear up front. When we first receive a bad report, did our heart get gripped in fear? As our trust in FATHER increases, we will be less moved by the world’s negative reports. In addition, we will be less moved by the circumstances we see and experience for we know FATHER can and will intervene on our behalf.
Another interesting thing happens, we shed old priorities for they do not stack up against the true priorities of serving FATHER. Some activities simply don’t matter anymore. You simply don’t sweat the small stuff now. As Jesus said, those with little faith operate and are motivated by fear. Their decisions are fear-based decisions and they tend to perpetuate the problem. You don’t dismiss the problem but instead you deal with it in faith. Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea which created a great calm or … peace. Jesus was at peace during the storm and had to be awaken. That is a beautiful sign of trusting FATHER.
Proverbs chapter 3:
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
We must not expect to have full understanding while we are in the midst of our trial or tribulation. FATHER knows the beginning from the end thus we must place our trust IN HIM and not our own understanding. HE is the ONE WHO is the deliverer and healer. We should acknowledge that reality as we walk through our situation at hand. As our faith grows strong, the solutions to our problems with present themselves to us. FATHER will orchestrate the proper resources to resolve our issue at and. Let our trust in HIM remain strong!
