Overcoming Evil

June 27th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 12:

21  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

To overcome means to have victory over another.  Jesus overcame the world and has given us the power and authority overcome the wicked one as well.  Lt us mot be overcome by evil but instead overcome evil with good.

Evil is destructive by its very nature and it will divide whatever is before it to reduce its strength.  When evil is introduced into a relationship, division occurs and at least one of the parties will suffer.  The passage above makes it 100% clear that good overcomes evil so let us pursue “good” as we mature as overcomers.  What can we do to promote “good”?  In this same chapter Paul provides us several examples:

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

20 Therefore

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;

If he is thirsty, give him a drink;

For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Dwell on this list and see if you are embracing all the facets Paul included.  Overcoming evil is not just a one-time event but it should become a way of life for the elect.  Evil is present throughout the world.  Virtually without exception can evil be found in organizations created by man.  If we are to be a light unto the world by our living example, let us embrace this list and any other quality of Love revealed to us.  As we walk in Love this list will be a natural result of our fruitfulness.

Removing Facades

June 26th, 2017

Each of us ha daily challenges in life.  Though I hear FATHER’S Voice, it does not guarantee that I will not have my own set of challenges today.  I am a work in progress just like the readers of this blog.  I have made my share of poor decisions just like the next person.  We all need to be transparent and not misrepresent ourselves as having no issues.  Walking in faith does not deny the existence of an issue, it simply expects to overcome the issue by FATHER’S Word and promises.

In Hebrews chapter 11, it is written:

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.

31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets:

33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

35 Women received their dead raised to life again.

How many of us have had to walk in faith where our life depended upon it like those mentioned above?  Let us reexamine ourselves and our walk to see if we are projecting something we are not.  The ego would project constant happiness and success when that is truly not the case.  If we are being Spiritually challenged, let us remain steadfast in the faith.  If our relationships are being challenged let us walk in unconditional Love.  If our future isn’t looking so bright, let us walk in hope and allow FATHER to minister to us in this area.

In Genesis chapter 50, Joseph was approached by his brothers who had betrayed him and placed him in harm’s way:

16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, “Before your father died he commanded, saying,

17 ‘Thus you shall say to Joseph: “I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you.” ’ Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father.” And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, “Behold, we are your servants.”

19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God?

20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

Joseph endured much pain and suffering but FATHER’S Love prevailed when it came time to restore his relationship with his family.  We all make mistakes and want others to overlook them and not judge us.  Let Love prevail in our lives and remove our own facades so that our relationships have a purity and no judgment attached in any manner.

Increasing Our Comprehension

June 25th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 3:

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

As I look back over the last decade since FATHER has had me focus on the revelation of Love, I find that my comprehension of the Kingdom and its priorities has increased.    When you are able to see through His eyes of Love, you begin to understand His Divine Intent behind His words and actions.  Jesus did not walk according to duty but instead He ministered from a position of Love.  As we walk in this same pure Love, we will appreciate the value of comprehending Love.

Consider the stated benefit to knowing first hand the Love of Christ.  This Love surpasses knowledge and will enable us to be filled up to all the fullness of GOD.  When we are walking in this fullness, we should expect the excellent fruit that results in such a walk.

FATHER continues to have me focus on these Truths for a reason.  I would suggest the frequency relates to an imminent need around the corner.  These Truths have been “hidden” in plain sight but what has been lacking is our ability to comprehend in order that we walk in the fullness of the revelation.  Since they are now being revealed we must not delay in embracing these Truths and aligning our walk accordingly.

As we comprehend the deeper revelation of Love our priorities will change.  What was once important will no longer matter to us.  Our tastes will change and our bodies will respond in similar manner.  Our boldness will not be held back in declaring the Kingdom or FATHER’S Acts confirming HIS Word.  This boldness may be challenged by the world but it will not be withheld in fear of what people may think.  Peter and John walked in this boldness as recorded by THE SPIRIT in Acts chapter 4:

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

Our education will not determine our boldness for Christ but our comprehension in walking with Christ and in the same manner of Love for mankind.

The Obstacles to the Knowledge of GOD

June 24th, 2017

Obstacles preventing us from the knowledge of FATHER should be identified in order to be dealt with and removed so they no longer hinder our growth and maturity.  Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Casting down arguments requires that we put and end to “reasonings” designed to dilute the knowledge of FATHER.  Reasoning relies on man’s understanding and knowledge rather than the Truth and reality of FATHER’S Spiritual Kingdom.  By His mighty works, Jesus dispelled man’s foundation of reasoning yet the wicked one continues to plant seeds of doubt in order to perpetuate the lies surrounding the temporal.  It all gets back to whether we have faith in FATHER’S Word and Acts or rely on the lower level of logic and reasoning of men.

Once FATHER confirms HIS Word with signs and wonders, we should encourage ourselves with those testimonies as a reminder of HIS Greatness in our lives.  Our salvation should be the greatest testimony to affirm our relationship with FATHER and Our Lord Jesus Christ when we are being challenged by men’s reasonings.  FATHER has miraculously healed me in the past and those testimonies cannot be taken away and forgotten.  Instead, we should recall such testimonies as we are being tried, tested, and challenged in similar circumstances.  Our hearts should be filled with gratitude as we recall those events.

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Psalm 119:

2 Blessed are those who keep His testimonies,

Who seek Him with the whole heart!

14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,

As much as in all riches.

15 I will meditate on Your precepts,

And contemplate Your ways.

16 I will delight myself in Your statutes;

I will not forget Your word.

As we keep HIS Word before us, HE will expose even the most subtle of obstacles which would hinder further growth.  Those obstacles are often tied to our ego and have their basis in fear.  We will rationalize why the WORD isn’t applicable in an area for fear of personal failure.  “What will others think if I get sick?”  This was a major stumbling block for those who grew up in the Faith movement.  We were taught to deny sickness existed rather than acknowledge the problem then deal with it.

We must remove arrogant obstacles, demolish arguments, smash warped philosophies, and cast down vain imaginations which would prevent us from accepting and receiving FATHER’S pure Word.  As we spend quality time dwelling and meditation on HIS Word, our fruit will be as pure.  Our motivation will be one originating from Love and the obstacles will no longer impact our maturing process.

Transformed Versus Conformed

June 23rd, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Romans chapter 12:

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

There is an old saying “use it or lose it” and we should apply it to our minds being transformed by THE WORD on a daily basis.  By having daily communion with FATHER, this need to be transformed can be satisfied.  Some feel more comfortable in studying and dissecting HIS Word but I prefer to hear HIM and then focus on the particular Word HE gives me for the day.

The battleground for our way of life is our mind.  The world will attempt to renew our minds with their agenda by continually exposing us to their ways and traditions.  This Is often done through the media.  They would keep us subjected to their motives and control in order to carry out their agenda which is usually associated with fear.  On the other hand, FATHER’S motives are Love-based and the renewing of our minds increases our revelation of Love and how to walk in it.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 4:

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Let us become preoccupied with FATHER’S Word rather than the world’s topics.  A good report will renew your mind in a positive fashion whereas a bad report will simply invoke fear in your life.  That fear if left unchecked will go on to produce fear-based fruit which ultimately leads to death and destruction.

To be conformed means to behave according to socially acceptable conventions or standards set by the world’s systems, customs, and views.  The problem is those standards will change as events occur.  After a terrorist attack we are told to conform to new rules “for the greater good” rather than rely on the Truth.  This is because the world does not know how to deal with disrupters of social order and are unable to establish control.  Ultimately Love is the answer but it is not included in their methods of dealing with enemies.  They want to overpower enemies with force to keep them in line and in doing that they create more enemies.

As we pursue transformation by renewing our minds which in turn will align with FATHER, we will begin to view issues and challenges in a different light.  New solutions will arise and become obvious.  These obvious solutions will escape the consideration of the worldly for they are blinded to FATHER’S Ways.

The benefits of being transformed cannot be overstated for the life to those who find this reality becomes accessible to them.  We already know the fruit of being conformed to the world and it is seriously lacking.  Let us not delay in our focus to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  Its benefits far outweigh and alternative.

Willingness To Believe

June 22nd, 2017

In Luke chapter 8 Jesus was requested to heal the twelve year old daughter of Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue.  Within this passage a woman was also healed of a twelve year disease (a flow of blood).  Within these verses are several revelations given to us so that we can believe in Divine healing.  We can either accept or reject these revelations but it does not affect the validity of the revelations.  You can focus solely on the “types and shadows” found within the text and your belief will be diluted appropriately.  If you focus on the specific facts and Truth contained therein, then your faith will grow, mature, and accept these Truths to be superior to the natural, lower truths adhered to by man in his soulish orientation.

40 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him.

41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house,

42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying.

But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him.

43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,

44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?”

When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.”

47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.

48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

The current healthcare industry had no solutions for the woman even though they accepted her finances and left her penniless.  The current system failed to heal her in any fashion.  Jesus’ garment was the only thing the woman touched but Spiritually that was sufficient to cause the healing flow inherent in Jesus to fulfill its purpose.  Jesus did not lay hands on the woman to heal her.  His faith was not specifically directed toward her when she was healed.  She saw no need for an extended prayer to plead for healing.  Jesus declared that her faith made her well.  The woman could go in peace because Love is the origin of peace.  Healing takes place in a higher state than the practice of medicine and Jesus operates in that higher state.  The practice of medicine operates in the lower state and is subject to the higher Spiritual state in all aspects.  Love operates at the highest Spiritual state and generates the highest frequency affecting man.

49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.”

50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.”

51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.

52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.”

53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.

54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.”

55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.

56 And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.

Before Jesus arrived at the house of Jairus, He was notified that the daughter was dead.  This news did not affect the expected outcome in any manner.  Jesus was given an excuse to proceed no further but was not moved by the evil report.  This report was intended to produce fear in order to solidify the event of death but Jesus did not accept it nor did He deny it.  Many deny the reality observed at the lower state in hoping that their denial will somehow produce faith.  The real issue is that we must focus on the Spiritual state rather than the lower,physical state where most men dwell.  Denial does not produce faith, belief in the healing power of FATHER through Jesus Christ does.

Upon entering the house, Jesus remove those full of unbelief.  Their evil report would not impact those remaining with Jesus in the house.  Jesus negated the evil report of death by declaring the girl to be asleep.  This confirms that physical death is not permanent but instead a temporary state.  Jesus was not moved by the ridicule of those who were mourning.  He gave them no consideration in this situation.  Their evil report simply exposed their hearts and lack of revelation.

Jesus spoke to death and it responded thus He established no permanency in death whatsoever.  This further indicates that death, sickness, and disease are subject to the higher Spiritual state and her spirit responded to His command.  He then ministered to her physically by directing others to feed her.

You can remove this passage from the Scripture but it does not negate the revelation contained therein.  If we can embrace the higher Truths found in the passage, we will indeed mature to the next level.  If we truly believe that Jesus ministered to both the woman and the child successfully then our faith will grow into great faith, the kind that pleases FATHER.

The State of Relevance

June 20th, 2017

Relevance means "important to the matter at hand."  Can people stay relevant with the passing of time?  Do their belief systems remain relevant or do they lose their importance as time passes?  By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews 13 that Jesus was, is, and will be relevant to our lives without interruption:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

However mans’ teaching loses its relevance rather quickly as men attempt to prophesy out of their own understanding rather than simply listen to FATHER’S Word given at an appropriate time and place.  They tend to hope that people will not remember the “words” that did not come to pass.  Most people can prophesy correctly once in while given enough tries.

When we continue to be engaged with FATHER’S Voice, our relevance remains high and we are able to credibly minister to those in need.  Our motivation is out of Love which is always relevant and we must not let the trials and tribulations we find ourselves in at a personal level keep us from ministering in a relevant fashion to others.  In 2 Corinthians chapter 11, Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;

26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—

Paul’s personal challenges did not deter him from remaining relevant to the churches he was called to minister to and bless with the Love he experienced through Our Lord Jesus Christ.  This Agape Love is far greater than the sufferings listed above and furthermore it is enduring by its very nature.

Many people have at least one old cell phone in their drawer somewhere.  Why?  It is no longer relevant and now deemed obsolete by those who market their replacements.  It is though we get on this merry-go-round and become distracted by the temporary relevance promoted by the world.  Shouldn’t we be focusing on that which will stand the test of time and will remain relevant into eternity?  In John chapter 14 Jesus spoke:

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

What a blessed example of relevance.  Our relationship with Jesus Christ will never grow old and stale but will be the vital aspect of our existence throughout eternity.  Jesus is critical to our life and future so let us never allow men to convince us of their latest philosophies or theories.  Just look around and consider how many “things” will come and go this year alone.  Don’t get too focused on the temporal for it will only leave you empty on the inside.

PS: Anything FATHER has us do or say is relevant!

Testing Of Faith And Trust

June 20th, 2017

Most people can walk in faith when there is no pressure applied but the real test is when pressure increases dramatically.  This usually occurs when the world gives you a negative report in direct opposition to what FATHER’S Word says.  “By His stripes we are healed” is a faith-filled confession of FATHER’S Word but when your body and the doctor have a report of sickness and disease. what do you do?  You must decide who you are going to align yourself with.

Will we place our trust in FATHER or man?  The pain will cry out in an attempt to confirm the body’s response and position but we must not settle for this temporary situation.  In Matthew chapter 8, Jesus made a very important point:

23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.

25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

We must deal with fear up front.  When we first receive a bad report, did our heart get gripped in fear?  As our trust in FATHER increases, we will be less moved by the world’s negative reports.  In addition, we will be less moved by the circumstances we see and experience for we know FATHER can and will intervene on our behalf.

Another interesting thing happens, we shed old priorities for they do not stack up against the true priorities of serving FATHER.  Some activities simply don’t matter anymore.  You simply don’t sweat the small stuff now.  As Jesus said, those with little faith operate and are motivated by fear.  Their decisions are fear-based decisions and they tend to perpetuate the problem.  You don’t dismiss the problem but instead you deal with it in faith.  Jesus rebuked the winds and the sea which created a great calm or … peace.  Jesus was at peace during the storm and had to be awaken.  That is a beautiful sign of trusting FATHER.

Proverbs chapter 3:

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

We must not expect to have full understanding while we are in the midst of our trial or tribulation.  FATHER knows the beginning from the end thus we must place our trust IN HIM and not our own understanding.  HE is the ONE WHO is the deliverer and healer.  We should acknowledge that reality as we walk through our situation at hand.  As our faith grows strong, the solutions to our problems with present themselves to us.  FATHER will orchestrate the proper resources to resolve our issue at and.  Let our trust in HIM remain strong!

Keep The Focus

June 19th, 2017

The Beloved Disciple wrote in John chapter 14:

7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority;but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”

Jesus contains the attributes of FATHER and every action taken by Jesus reflects FATHER’S Divine Intent.  We should study the Words and actions of Jesus to gain perspective of FATHER so that when we hear that still, small voice we can recognize it.

Everyday we are presented with alternatives to Christ and thus it can be a challenge to keep things “fresh” between us and Christ.  The complexities of the world can overwhelm  our senses and dilute our focus on Love.  Although Love seems “low-tech” it is truly more sophisticated than the largest of computers for Love and Its Divine Intent make the world go around.  It provides the “glue” to our bodies’ function according to their design.  It we could simply grasp that reality, we would be way ahead in our lives producing greater fruit on behalf of the Kingdom.

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Can technology answer your prayers?  Technology can only respond according to what man has programmed it to do whereas in FATHER there is no such limitation.  Each of us is being faced with greater challenges than we endured in the past.  Let us never give up, knowing that FATHER has our bet interest at heart.  People need a physical example to relate to so FATHER sent HIS Son for such a purpose.  Let us each take the opportunity to read, study, and meditate on the Words and actions of Jesus this day.

Paul wrote in Philippians chapter 4:

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

He is our Source and example so let us enter the same flow as Our Elder Brother and be strengthened in order that we are able to deal with those things confronting us today.  Let us remain diligent in our quest toward maturity in Christ.  Some of us will undoubtedly have greater challenges than others but the same anointing can break the yoke of bondage in either case.  We must not underestimate the key to health and healing and that source is found in Christ.

Vacation

June 12th, 2017

We will be most of this week for a little time off.
