Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Colossians chapter 1:
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Paul speaks of the preeminence of Jesus Christ over all of creation and this is why we must keep Our Lord Jesus Christ at the forefront of our consciousness and adoration. The existence and purpose of all things on the earth center around the firstborn Son who is our example. This is why it is so important to weigh our views in accordance with the words and actions of Jesus as He is our standard of conduct toward others.
Without Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior we would have no future or Heavenly inheritance so we must not let our past familiarity of His Words become commonplace in our studies. Instead, we should treat His Words with the same reverence as if FATHER were to appear before us and require us to remove our shoes on Holy ground.
Jesus Christ is our perfect example and no other person who has walked this earth could come close to taking on that honor. Out of Agape Love, Our Heavenly Father has provided us with “The Way” to walk in accordance to HIS perfect will and plan thus we should pursue The Way on a daily basis without regard to our current circumstances. The things around us are subject to change without notice whereas Our Heavenly Father’s path is true and reliable.
There are many challenges each of us face as we pursue our individual, unique callings. FATHER is aware of them all and HE alone has the power and authority to help us through those challenges as we learn to become overcomers. The solutions to those challenges will often be counterintuitive to what the world would recommend so we must be careful to obey HIS Word even when we get conflicting advise from well-intended brethren. FATHER knows our individual weaknesses and will minister to us accordingly so that our weaknesses become our strengths IN HIM.
We ought to live our lives in a perpetual state of gratitude for what Our Lord Jesus Christ has done on our behalf. Our level of gratitude may indicate our acknowledgement of how much Jesus delivered us from when considering our past acts and thoughts as sinners. Those who are blind do not realize their need for being delivered from their past sins. From their perspective they think their words and actions do not need a Deliverer or Redeemer. Until they see the light of The Word, they will simply continue on their path toward destruction. As we become like Jesus Christ Who walks in unconditional Love, we will draw them to the light and their eyes will be opened allowing them to see their failed state. As we change, the world will change.
Let this be our daily prayer:
‘I walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
