Are you a man-pleaser or a GOD-pleaser?

Paul spoke by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 1:

9   I will make it clear: Anyone, no matter who they are, that brings you a different gospel than the grace Gospel that you have received, let them be condemned and cursed!

10 I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would not be the true servant of the Messiah.

I have the same passion as Paul.  FATHER has bestowed so much grace on me over my lifetime, there is no way that I would back off now and move away from my relationship with HIM.

Many pastors have become man-pleasers in their watered-down messages these days.  They are more interested in protecting their source of income and status than speaking forth the Truth.

Paul declares that anyone preaching a gospel other than that of the One of grace centered around Jesus Christ, will be condemned and cursed.  Those are strong Words but need to be spoken.  Judgment will come on those who have and are preaching a compromising gospel to others.

A perfect example of this deals with the lgbqt movement.  Their sin is an abomination to Our Heavenly Father.  If it weren’t, HE would not have wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 11:

20  Then Jesus began to openly denounce the cities where He had done most of His mighty miracles, because the people failed to turn away from sin and return to God.

21 He said, “How tragic it will be for the city of Korazin! And how horrible for the city of Bethsaida! For if the powerful miracles that I performed in Korazin and Bethsaida had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have humbled themselves and repented, and turned from their sins.

22 Tyre and Sidon will better off on judgment day than you!

23 And Capernaum—do you really think you’ll be exalted because of the great miracles I have done there? No! You’ll be brought down to the depths of hell because of your rejection of Me. For if the miracles I worked in your streets were done in Sodom, it would still be standing today!

24 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom in the day of judgment than it will be for you.”

And He spoke in Mark chapter 6:

11 “And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Sodom and Gomorrah are clearly linked with judgment in Jesus’ own Words and He only speaks the Words FATHER gives Him.  Do you think that Truth is subject to change?  Absolutely not!  Doctors can do sex change operations, but they cannot change the gender chromosomes from XY to XX in every cell of your body.  It is what it is and there is nothing man can do about it.

Half-truths are lies.  Opinions usually contain incomplete facts so they cannot be trusted as well.  This is why I am not interested in having my own opinion about matters.  If you don’t know the Truth, it is simply better to keep your mouth shut.

Jesus was not concerned about having people like Him.  It is clear when He encountered the Pharisees, He was not attempting to be a man-pleaser.  Neither should we.  The prophets of the Old Testament were in the same boat.  Most of them were killed by those who were given Words of judgment.

It is time for all of us who are fully committed to Jesus, to take a stand against the unrighteousness before us.  Being silent is no different than being in agreement.  It is time to be a GOD-pleaser.

Do you glorify THE LORD in all that you say and do?

Paul spoke by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

18   For God in Heaven unveils His Holy anger breaking forth against every form of sin, both toward ungodliness that lives in hearts and evil actions. For the wickedness of humanity deliberately smothers the Truth and keeps people from acknowledging the Truth about God.

19 In reality, the Truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart.

20 Opposition to Truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s Nature have been made visible, such as His eternal power and transcendence. He has made His wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse.

No one can claim ignorance when judgment comes.  Everyone knows inherently the difference between good and evil.  Over time, those who are in opposition to the Truth will become insensitive to the Truth and will pursue evil, leading to death and destruction.

21   because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,

The first step to depravation is failure to GLORIFY GOD!  The first step to an even more intimate relationship with FATHER is to GLORIFY HIM!

Let’s look at the path of those who became fools:

23  For only a fool would trade the unfading splendor of the immortal God to worship the fading image of other humans, idols made to look like people, animals, birds, and even creeping reptiles!

They begin to worship idols, whether man or beasts.  Do you exalt movie stars, musicians, singers, or others who are in the spotlight?  Do you exalt a man who nearly fell three times going up the steps to his airplane?  Only THE LORD should command our words of praise.  We should not glorify men or women for they cannot get us to Heaven.  Actually, they have problems of their own to deal with.

24   This is why God lifted off His restraining hand and let them have full expression of their sinful and shameful desires. They were given over to moral depravity, dishonoring their bodies by sexual perversion among themselves—

25 all because they traded the Truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and served the things God made rather than the God who made all things—glory and praises to Him for eternity of eternities! Amen!

You and I must resist the lies that are being spewed out by the mainstream media.  We must let The Holy Spirit show us the Truth of the matter.

26-27   For this reason God gave them over to their own disgraceful and vile passions. Enflamed with lust for one another, men and women ignored the natural order and exchanged normal sexual relations for homosexuality. Women engaged in lesbian conduct, and men committed shameful acts with men, receiving in themselves the due penalty for their deviation.

28 And because they thought it was worthless to embrace the true knowledge of God, God gave them over to a worthless mind-set, to break all rules of proper conduct.

The church has allowed the lgbqtuvwxyz movement to go mainstream without restraint.  They are now attempting to indoctrinate the children to their moral depravity.  We must stand up to such perversion being spewed out by these blinded individuals.  Jesus was not passive toward the Pharisees who attempted to exert control over the population.  We are in the midst of a spiritual battle.  FATHER will exert tough Love in response to those who have totally rejected HIM.

29 Their sinful lives became full of every kind of evil, wicked schemes, greed, and cruelty. Their hearts overflowed with jealous cravings, and with conflict and strife, which drove them into hateful arguments and murder. They are deceitful liars full of hostility. They are gossips

30 who love to spread malicious slander. With inflated egos they hurl hateful insults at God, yet they are nothing more than arrogant boasters. They are rebels against their parents and totally immoral.

31 They are senseless, faithless, ruthless, heartless, and completely merciless.

32 Although they are fully aware of God’s laws and proper order, and knowing that those who do all of these things deserve to die, yet they still go headlong into darkness, encouraging others to do the same and applauding them when they do!

The blind are leading the blind and ignorant toward death and destruction.  You and I are to be fully led by The Holy Spirit and confront the demons who are leading the “rainbow” parade toward the proverbial cliff.

Our first priority is to glorify GOD.  This is why I added this topic to the RENEW application for you to access on a daily basis.  You need to arrest your emotions and purpose to listen/read those Scriptures daily.  This is why I placed this topic at the top of the list.

Faith gains us access to FATHER, not our perceived holiness.

The blessings FATHER bestows on me is not due to my holiness, but it is due to HIS grace.  There is no way I could earn my way to salvation or a relationship with FATHER.  It is only by the Sacrifice of My Lord Jesus Christ that I am able to walk in a Holy manner.

It is not about what I’ve done but Who I know!  My works do not deserve HIS blessings nor do my tithes deserve HIS blessing.  FATHER’S unconditional Love and grace for you and me are the reasons HE imparts blessings to us.

I purpose to walk Holy and be a giver out of my Love for Jesus Christ.  I write these blogs out of my Love for Him.  I purpose to be faithful to all that FATHER has called me to say and do.  My actions are to be Love-based, not performance-based.  If I give out of “duty”, I am missing the point.  If I give out of Love, I have embraced the Truth.  This is why we are to be cheerful givers rather than giving out of fear of condemnation.

Paul spoke by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 4:

16   Have I really become your enemy because I tell you the Truth?

My wife and I attended churches where giving was emphasized whether it was obvious or in a subtle fashion.  In some cases, you felt like you had to hold onto your wallet lest you leave without any money at all.  There were evangelistic conferences that placed similar demands on the people.

Did Jesus take up an offering during His earthly ministry?  When He fed the multitudes, they left with more than they came with.  FATHER’S grace was expressed in these events.

Never give to Servias out of duty.  Only give out of Love.

Paul spoke by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 5:

1   Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in His Eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what Our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.

2 Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!

Jesus is the Reason our joy can and will burst forth.  Knowing Him and walking in grace is why I can cheerfully give.  There is no level of performance I can personally attain that will justify me before MY FATHER.

We should live Holy because GOD has changed us.  If we are having challenges in our walk, we should renew our minds to align them with our spirit.

Don’t let the perversion of the Truth manipulate you into becoming performance-based in your thinking and actions.  When you are led by THE SPIRIT, you will joyfully respond and act.  It takes away the performance-based thinking that we must do a list of things in order to be pleasing to FATHER.  No, faith IN HIM is what pleases HIM, not my goodness.

Do you see yourself as a “friend” of GOD?

Jesus spoke in John chapter 15:

14   “You show that you are My intimate friends when you obey all that I command you.

15 I have never called you ‘servants,’ because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you My most intimate friends, for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from My Father.

16 You didn’t choose Me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of My Father, for My sake, He will give it to you!

17 So this is My parting command: Love one another deeply!”

In the mid 1990’s I was praying in THE SPIRIT with some other men and FATHER told me I was HIS friend.  That totally surprised me for I felt undeserving to be HIS friend.  I couldn’t claim such an honor on my own, but HE initiated it.  HE had commanded me to pray at least one hour each morning before work which began in 1990 and I was obedient to that command.  I did this for ten years until HE released me.  You are just as special to HIM as I am.

The key to becoming intimate with FATHER and Jesus is to be obedient to The Word and The Holy Spirit.  Increased obedience brings forth greater intimacy.  What was Jesus’ parting command?  Love one another deeply!  The result will be that you bear much fruit on behalf of The Kingdom.

Outward fruit is a testimony of our relationship with Our Heavenly Father.  Lack of fruit is reviewed when Heavenly justice is served.

5  “I am the sprouting Vine and you’re My branches. As you live in union with Me as your Source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from Me you are powerless.

6 If a person is separated from Me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned.

7 But if you live in life-union with Me and if My Words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.

8 When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are My mature disciples who glorify my Father!

Jesus’ Words clearly differentiate between those producing fruit and those who at best are simply observers.  Only mature disciples produce good fruit which glorifies Our Heavenly Father.  How is your branch doing?  Does it have fruit on it?  It is better that I pose the question than for Jesus to later review your life and determine your fruit production.  Let your joy be full now as you correct whatever is keeping you from being fruitful.

You and I are meant to produce abundant fruit and as we are in union with Jesus, our requests will be manifested.  This not only includes needs but also desires.  FATHER has given me the desires of my heart in the past, even those that I was reluctant to request.  Why?  HE is a Loving Father and wants to bless His Sons and Daughters.  HE will also call you HIS Friend just as earthly fathers calls the mature children “friends” as well.

Are you waiting on GOD?  Actually, HE is waiting on you.

Jesus paved the way for us to bring forth The Kingdom.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 10:

5  So when Jesus the Messiah came into the world He said,“Since Your ultimate desire was not another animal sacrifice, You have clothed Me with a body that I might offer Myself instead!

Jesus is our Example.  You and I were also clothed in a body meant to walk out the purpose FATHER intended when HE formed us in the womb.  HE determined when, where, how, and why.  Because of HIS Love, HE gave us the choice to submit or reject HIM.  Within our purpose, each of us is meant to conquer HIS enemies on earth and not simply be observers.

6 Multiple burnt offerings and sin-offerings cannot satisfy Your justice.

7 So I said to You, ‘God— I will be the One to go and do Your Will, to fulfill all that is written of Me in Your Word!’ ”

8 First He said, “Multiple burnt-offerings and sin-offerings cannot satisfy Your justice ” (even though the law required them to be offered).

9 And then He said, “God, I will be the One to go and do Your will.” So by being the Sacrifice that removes sin, He abolishes animal sacrifices and replaces that entire system with the New Covenant.

Paul, one of the preeminent experts on the Law, explains the results of Jesus being the perfect Sacrifice and replacing the Old Covenant with the New Covenant.  FATHER chose Paul as the true twelfth apostle to replace Judas, the temporary disciple who focused on the world’s riches instead of Heavenly riches.  Anyone who is enamored with earthly riches is destined for the same end results as Judas.

10 By God’s Will we have been purified and made Holy once and for all through the Sacrifice of the Body of Jesus, the Messiah!

We do not have to perform in order to earn FATHER’S Love.  HIS grace and mercy now prevail in our lives.  We now have the power and authority to do all that Jesus commanded us to do.  Those who do nothing will be fruitless but will still make it to Heaven.  Our goal should be to be “good and faithful” to HIS purpose placed in us before we were born (Psalm 139:16)

11 Yet every day priests still serve, ritually offering the same sacrifices again and again—sacrifices that can never take away sin’s guilt.

12 But when this Priest had offered the one supreme Sacrifice for sin for all time He sat down on a Throne at the Right Hand of God,

13 waiting until all his whispering enemies are subdued and turn into His footstool.

14 And by His one perfect Sacrifice He made us perfectly Holy and complete for all time!

15 The Holy Spirit confirms this to us by this Scripture, for the Lord says,

16 “Afterwards, I will give them this Covenant: I will embed My Laws into their hearts and fasten My Word to their thoughts.”

17 And then He says, “I will not ever again remember their sins and lawless deeds!”

We are no longer “sinners saved by grace” but are Sons and Daughters, Holy and complete.  Let us walk in this revelation today and conquer the enemies of The Kingdom.

We are to bear abundant fruit that Glorifies FATHER.  That will demonstrate our level of maturity.

There is more than one way to glorify Our Heavenly Father.  One is done by speaking forth our gratitude toward HIM.  Another is by bearing abundant fruit that exalts HIM.  When we help those in need IN HIS NAME, we glorify FATHER.  How can I help someone if I don’t have resources available?  Did Jesus run out of food for the 5,000+ people or did He not only feed them but have plenty left for the boy who provided the initial bread and fish?

Jesus spoke in John chapter 15:

7   But if you live in life-union with Me and if My Words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.

8 When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are My mature disciples who Glorify My Father!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 9:

23  And doesn’t He also have the right to release the revelation of the wealth of His glory to His vessels of mercy, whom God prepared beforehand to receive His glory?

24 Even for us, whether we are Jews or non-Jews, we are those He has called to experience His glory.

25 Remember the prophecy God gave in Hosea: “To those who were rejected and not My people, I will say to them: ‘You are Mine.’ And to those who were unloved I will say: ‘You are my darling.’ ”

We have been given the revelation of Jesus’ riches in glory in all areas if we are willing to ask, seek, and knock, we will be given our requests including the revelation of His riches. 

Paul further wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1:

18  I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His Holy ones!

19 I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power

20 that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted Him to the place of highest honor and Supreme authority in the Heavenly realm!

The full release of that power toward us occurred when FATHER raised Jesus from the dead and exalted Him.  He is our confirmation of what resides in each of us, His Holy Ones.

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 3:

14  So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah,

15 the Perfect Father of every father and child in Heaven and on the earth.

16 And I pray that He would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His Divine might and explosive power.

17 Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His Love will become the very Source and root of your life.

These Words are to encourage us to actively imagine (hope) thus setting an expectation through faith that what is inside of us is fully released and becoming operational in us.  Once operational, His riches will flow in us and through us to benefit mankind.  Renewing our minds daily will help facilitate this process.

18 Then you will be empowered to discover what every Holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing Love of Christ in all Its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His Love! How enduring and inclusive It is! Endless Love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant Love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

Is there anything excluded from fullness of God?  No!

Paul further wrote by The Holy Spirit in Philippians chapter 4:

19  I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!

20 And God Our Father will receive all the glory and the honor throughout the eternity of eternities! Amen!

Paul saw the abundant riches, so you and I are meant to see them as well.  Once we see them, we are to operate in their fullness!

We are to live by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!  Be dominated by THE SPIRIT.  There will be no excuses when we appear before Jesus in Heaven.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

3   For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature. Yet God sent us His Son in human form to identify with human weakness. Clothed with humanity, God’s Son gave His Body to be the sin-offering so that God could once and for all condemn the guilt and power of sin.

4 So now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through the Anointed One living His Life in us. And we are free to live, not according to our flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!

We have been given this ability to walk by THE SPIRIT and so we should no longer subject ourselves to the flesh.  We are not to be ignorant of this power and authority.

5 Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue Spiritual realities.

6 For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

7 In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot!

8 For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh.

You must be brutally honest and admit being self-centered if that is the case.  Once you make such an admission, you can change your mindset.  Assessing your fruit will provide you with a clue to where you are at.

9 But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of Him.

10 Now Christ lives His Life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, His Life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.

11 Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, He will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you!

His Life supersedes all aspects of sickness, death, and destruction.  Let us renew our minds to this Truth.

Jesus prayed in John 17 that THEY share the same glory and unity with us, and to realize that FATHER has the same Love for us as HE has for Jesus:

20   “And I ask not only for these disciples, but also for all those who will one day believe in Me through their message.

21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as You and I, Father, are joined together as One. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognize that you sent me.  (Unity)

22 For the very glory you have given to Me I have given them (Glory) so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy.

23 You live fully in Me and now I live fully in them so that they will experience perfect unity, and the world will be convinced that you have sent me, for they will see that you love each one of them with the same passionate love that you have for me.

24 “Father, I ask that You allow everyone that You have given to Me to be with Me where I am! Then they will see My full glory— the very splendor You have placed upon me because You have Loved Me even before the beginning of time.

We need to dwell on theses Words Jesus spoke concerning you and me.

In John 10:10-11, Jesus reminds us who is good and who is bad:

A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! I am the Good Shepherd who lays down My Life as a Sacrifice for the sheep.

Let us walk worthy of our calling and inheritance as we overcome the adversary in all areas of our life.

A word received this morning:

Represent the King
 

Jesus. All-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise. Unshaken by the turmoil in the nations. Looking for those who will boldly live in partnership with him—unafraid to stand in their identity. To be pure. To be confident. To burn. He is with us. And everywhere we go, we represent our King.

It is time for us to join him in unrelenting faith. To pray for the nations. To cry out for mercy. To know his justice will have its way. It’s vital we stand in holiness. Crucial that we become the people of faith, action, love, and compassion he’s called us to be. There’s a shaking in the heavens that’s awakening the earth. A call to remember that our merciful King has called us to rule and reign with him. It’s time to take a stand. To know what we believe so we can burn with power that sets souls ablaze. It’s time to remember that the nations belong to him. Let’s love them. One person at a time.

Father, I want to carry your Spirit with honor. To part with what’s culturally acceptable and burn with what’s eternally true. To love others fiercely and see souls set free. I want to live unafraid. Your partner. Your bride. Your set-apart one.

GOD is sovereign, without question.  However, HE is not in control of everything on earth like religion wants us to believe.  Clear your mind and misunderstanding and read on.

The word sovereign means: One that exercises supreme, permanent authority, especially in a nation or other governmental unit, as.  This word is not in the King James Version anywhere. The TPT version only includes the word twice: Revelation 6:10 & 15:3.  Both describe what is being spoken in Heaven where HE is in full control, power, and authority.  FATHER gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth and HE doesn’t break HIS Word.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6:

5    “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father Who is in the secret place; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.

7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your Name.

10 Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done On earth as It is in Heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Jesus was not ignorant of FATHER’S power and authority.  His own Words encouraged us to pray for FATHER’S Kingdom to come to the earth.  He asked FATHER to deliver us from the evil one.  Why would Jesus require us to pray if FATHER was in control on earth?

Saying that GOD is in control is simply attempting to place responsibility on HIM instead of taking responsibility to live according to HIS Word.  HIS Word clearly tells us that we are to exercise power and authority over the devil.  HE and Jesus are at rest in Heaven waiting on us to walk in the power and authority deposited in us.

Do you think Our Loving Heavenly Father who ordained the birth of all children throughout history would kill babies through abortion?  Do you think HE supported and endorsed Sodom and Gomorrah?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

21   Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for His kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.

Paul clearly states who is responsible for a misguided heart… not GOD.

Do not attribute evil and moral darkness to FATHER!  You should be attributing such conditions to the adversary who has been labeled as the god of this world.  Don’t be deceived in your thinking.

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2^nd Peter chapter 3:

8   So, dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape your notice: a single day counts like a thousand years to the Lord Yahweh, and a thousand years counts as one day. 9 This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with His promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, His “delay” simply reveals His Loving patience toward you, because He does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.

Those who try to ride the “GOD is in control on earth” train, they do not yet understand HIS Love for each of us.
