Abundance of Idleness

August 16th, 2016

Ezekiel 16:

49 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit.

The NIV version:

"‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.  They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.”

Love does not sit around in a passive state waiting for some future event to occur to announce some form of “activation”.  Jesus did not begin His ministry by proceeding to the Temple and taking up residence there for those in need to parade before Him.  He went out to where the people were at and in need.

Sodom’s description sounds alarmingly a lot like the western world of today.  While people are in extreme need, the affluent nations play the Pokemon Go app with their cell phones.  Clearly there is an abundance of idleness.  The word haughty means arrogantly superior and disdainful and that sums up what people of many other countries think of Americans.  FATHER is not blinded to the disgusting acts that go on in this world today and will surely reconcile the situation at some point in the near future.  Only the existence of the remnant allows for the extension of mercy in the midst of the lawlessness which abounds in many countries.

When asked about the end times in Matthew chapter 24, Jesus spoke:

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Jesus warned us of these times that are now upon us and we must not let our Love grow cold but must endure to the end.  It is imperative that we set ourselves to hear FATHER’S instructions each and every day.  There will be times we speak and other times when we are to remain silent and let HIS judgment proceed without hindrance of distraction.  We must not let our emotions dictate our intervention in HIS decision to bring forth either judgment or mercy.  HIS Ways are true and just.

There will be those who are ensnared by their own words and actions even though they have been given ample opportunity to repent.  Some who have been called to the ministry but took another path other than the straight and narrow path thus they devised schemes to acquire followers for personal gain.  They will receive their reward.

Faith acts and produces good fruit so let us not be found idle when the culmination of the Age arrives.  We must remember that the tares were bundled up and burned when that day is upon us.  A tare is an injurious weed that looks like wheat while it is still young.  It consumes resources which are meant for the wheat to grow and mature.  The farmer is unable to remove the tares until harvest so he doesn’t pull up the wheat by mistake.  The unproductive servants are as tares and they will be removed and dealt with appropriately.  Until we are fully matured, the false prophets will await their judgment.

Let our Love become active and minister to those whom FATHER has placed in our path.  If we open our eyes and ears we will find those who are in need of our ministry.

We are not alone

Fullness of Christ

August 14th, 2016

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Ephesians chapter 4:

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

The purpose of the five-fold ministry is to bring us into the fullness of Christ and this is done by Love.  This is done by equipping or preparing the saints for the task and the word “saint” mean pure and cherished.  As I wrote yesterday the Bride of Christ is adorned in clean and bright linen which describes the saints as well.  As we go forth in purity of purpose, our acts will be cherished by FATHER WHO instructed and empowered us to perform those acts.  There will be those who show up to the marriage supper of the Lamb unprepared as evidenced by their attire.

Jesus spoke a parable about this wedding feast in Matthew chapter 22:

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.

12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Acts done in Love qualify as righteous acts and those acts are what clothe us so that we are qualified to participate in the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.  Acts done by any other intent are thus disqualified and will subject the person to removal from the event.  Those of us who fully embrace this walk of Love understand its ramifications and are willing to accept the responsibility of the revelation of Love.  Many will walk away from this revelation and will avoid it at all costs because their egos would prefer to be subjected to trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.  They willing to be subjected to the strong delusion plaguing the world today.

The union of Christ and HIS Body will bring forth the next Age.  His Bride will be seen as pure and cherished above all.  Men will have no excuse for their exclusion from this Body for the Gospel has been preached and they have had the opportunity to accept and align themselves with the Divine Intent of FATHER.  Jesus describes this reality in Matthew 22:

Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:

2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,

3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.

4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’

5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.

6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.

Men will go to great lengths to reject FATHER’S Divine Intent, even to the point of “shooting the messenger”.  They will look for ways to reject the fullness of Christ by any means possible.  On the flipside there are those of us who are willing to set all else aside in order to walk in HIS abiding Love knowing the the reward in Heaven is greater than any temporal reward on earth.  Let us take on the fullness of Christ.

Clean and White

August 13th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT, the Beloved disciple wrote in  the Revelation of Jesus Christ chapter 19:

6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

We are the bride of Christ and it is our responsibility to make ourselves ready.  Moreover it should also be our innermost desire and intent to do so.  A bride wants to come into full and complete union with her groom thus her focus in leading up to the marriage feast is to set everything else aside in order to prepare for that joyous occasion and she will spare no expense to make that day perfect in the eyes of those attending.  That day is the culmination of the prophetic intent of both the bride and the groom to come into full and complete unity in all aspects… they become one.

She is granted by FATHER to be arrayed in fine linen and this fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.  This indicates that we are called “to do” not just “be”.  There are those who stand passively by while the world is in dire need for they are waiting for some external event to happen before their so-called ministry can begin.  I say to you that our next encounter falls within our ministry whether it be a loved one or a stranger.  Our righteous acts should not be few and far between for we should be known for those acts motivated by Love.

The linen is described as clean or pure.  I believe there is absolutely no way you can claim purity unless you act based solely on Love.  The moment your intent is to benefit your “self” at the expense of others, there is no longer purity of purpose.  Purity comes by cleansing and cleansing comes by the Word of FATHER.  As we purpose to hear and act according to HIS Word, our hearts become pure.  In Matthew chapter 5, Jesus stated:

8  “Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.”

FATHER directed me to that particular verse in August of 1987 and told me this was the basis for HIM removing me from a management position of a particular company.  HE needed to purify me after that experience and the purification process has been occurring ever since.  Am I getting close to being 100% pure?  I hope so!

Our righteous acts should also be “bright”.  This Greek word lampros means:

  1. shining

    1. brilliant

    2. clear, transparent

  2. splendid, magnificent

    1. splendid things i.e. luxuries or elegancies in dress or style

Our motives should be clear and transparent so that others have no question about our intent.  Our intent should be based solely on Love and the desire to be a blessing to others.  If you have no “works” then where is your faith?  By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 2:

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”

It is never too late to initiate and bring forth righteous acts.  It is never too late to be cleansed by responding to FATHER’S Voice and HIS Word.  Let us purpose to be clean and bright so that FATHER will grant us to wear HIS fine linen.  Oh what a privilege to adorn such a garment!

Accepting Our True Identity

August 12th, 2016

Who am I… really?  Isn’t it time we embraced our true identity rather than projecting ourselves to be someone we are not?  So often we try to be someone we think people will like so we can be interesting and loved by others thus we expend much time and resource creating that image.  The marketing industry is focused on painting you a picture of success if you will only utilize their products and/or services.  The current system is centered around a lie and the perpetuation of that lie.  The lie is to exalt “self” with an illusion of being someone else.  As we promote the illusion, we suffer the judgment associated with such deception.  Consider Jacob.

In Jacob’s life there were two wrestling matches.  The first one was when he was in the womb with his twin brother.  In Genesis chapter 25:

21 Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the LORD.

23 And the LORD said to her:

“Two nations are in your womb,

Two peoples shall be separated from your body;

One people shall be stronger than the other,

And the older shall serve the younger.”

Jacob was a deceiver and he was given the “blessing” by Isaac under false pretense for he pretended to be Esau right after he exploited his brother.  What did his deception cost him?  21 years in service to another deceiver called Laban.  Jacob’s deceptions were a manifestation of his insecurities.  His trust was not in FATHER but in his own ability to do whatever is necessary to get ahead.  His unwillingness to trust FATHER finally came to a head in Genesis chapter 32:

22 And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok.

23 He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had.

24 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.

25 Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.

26 And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.”

But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”

27 So He said to him, “What is your name?”

He said, “Jacob.”

He wrestled with the angel and in the midst of the wrestling, the angel asked Jacob “What is your name?”.  When Jacob finally admitted his deceptive nature, the angel revealed his true identity given to him by FATHER.  In spite of Jacob’s habitual deceptions, FATHER was still able to use him according to his purpose given to him before HE formed Jacob in the womb.  Jacob wrestled and resisted FATHER’S Divine Nature of Love for much of his life until he finally had to confront the Truth.   He wrestled in his darkness until finally the light of day exposed the reality and once that occurred, his nature changed and he was given a new name to reflect it.  From deceiver to Israel which means “GOD prevails”:

28 And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

Let us take on our true identity and walk in it.  Let us shed all of those false identities we have projected to others and accept who FATHER created us to be.  Our confession should now align with FATHER’S Intent for us rather than projecting some illusion created by our ego.  FATHER is not ashamed of who HE made us to be and neither should we accept the words of judgment and discouragement from those who live in fear and lack.  Those people who disparage us are living a lie  thus they must belittle us in order to exalt themselves.  They are only successful when we accept their lie.

We must no longer wrestle with FATHER’s Divine Intent of Love to be expressed to us and through us to others.  HE has commanded us to walk in HIS Intent so let each of us submit to and embrace HIS Command for Love to prevail in our lives.  The wrestling needs to end.

What good is it?

August 11th, 2016

In Matthew chapter 16, Jesus spoke:

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.”

What do our works reflect?  Are the works centered around satisfying “self” or blessing others?  One of the greater obstacles to overcome is that of “Kingdom” thinking and orientation while in a world where you are taught and exposed to virtually the opposite views.  The world is perverting and undermining the Truth in order to get ahead and dominate others.  Mankind promotes the exalting of “self” at the expense of others whereas Jesus teaches us to serve mankind at the expense of “self”.  “Give and it shall be given to you” is a Kingdom principle thus we must be willing to deny ourselves as we follow the straight and narrow path Jesus has shown us.

In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus spoke:

1 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.”

Our reward is from FATHER in whatever manner HE sees fit.  We must not restrict our thinking in any realm for a reward is a thing given in recognition of one’s service, effort, or achievement.  Our reward is something that anyone would desire if they were aware of its value.  A reward of enduring quality is much to be desired among all men and the greatest reward is given to us by FATHER, not man.

In our efforts to de-clutter, we are finding “stuff” we purchased years ago which at the time we thought had some intrinsic value.  But now?  Clutter just simply takes up space and hides the items we are constantly looking for in our closets or cabinets.  If only we can embrace true value versus temporal value!

Over the years, FATHER has consistently proven the reality of stewardship and giving.  As HE has moved upon us to give and in turn HE has provided beyond our expectations.  FATHER is generous in HIS Divine Intent, not stingy.  HE has an abundance in every area and that abundance is available to us as we align with HIS Will.  HE is not limited and neither are HIS resources or plans for us.  Let us not place HIM in a “box” and limit HIS willingness to supply all our need as we walk out HIS perfect plan in our lives.  Let us turn away from the self-glory and worldly ways which only provide temporary results and rewards from man for they dissipate quickly and are soon forgotten.

Jesus specifically told us that each of us will be rewarded according to our works.  Let our works be in response to seeking and hearing FATHER’S direction each and every day.  In the end HE will openly reward us as being good and faithful unto HIM.  What better reward is there?

Our Day of Deliverance

August 10th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT John wrote in the Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapter 1:

8  “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

You are not your circumstances. but you are a Child of THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  It is HE who formed us in the womb and WHO was before the universe was created.  There is no GOD particle separate from HIS command and Divine Intent.  We must keep that Truth and reality before as we walk out our lives in Love and faith.  HE is the beginning of our walk and HE is the destination of our walk.  We must deal with the in-between by pressing in to pierce the veil of the Heavenlies and no longer submit as slaves to our flesh but rise above the chaos and approach FATHER’S Throne in boldness.

Faith IN HIM is a necessity in our journey between the Alpha and Omega.  We cannot and should not trust in worldly men who would deceive us in order to exploit us and place us in bondage.  In Proverbs chapter 25 it is written by THE SPIRIT:

18 A man who bears false witness against his neighbor

Is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow.

19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble

Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.

20 Like one who takes away a garment in cold weather,

And like vinegar on soda,

Is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.

Our trust must be placed in our Deliverer, Jesus Christ.  It is HIS Words that fully express FATHER’S Divine Intent of Love and should be lifted up in our hearts and our minds as we walk through the trials and tribulations set before us.  Every Word out of our Elder Brother’s mouth was for our encouragement and instruction.  He warned us of the times we are now in so we must not be moved by the wickedness, perverseness, and lawlessness all around us.

Spiritual blindness abounds.  Are you surprised?  The world is awash with selfish motives and for many their Love has grown cold.  People are once again looking for an external solution to an internal problem for the heart must change before the circumstances will change.  We must plant seeds of life to grow trees with fruit.  Where do we get our seed?  From FATHER.  Jesus tells us in Luke chapter 8:

11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”

How much more plain can it be expressed!  As we plant the pure seed of HIS Word in our hearts, it produces good fruit.  Yes, it will require patience and must be rooted and grounded in Love.  Love must be the basis by which we plant all other seed from FATHER in order that the seed be fully stable when the stalk, leaves, and fruit come forth.  We must be able to withstand the storms which will test our root system.  Our faith will be tested to see how deep our roots go.  Our day of deliverance is at hand and when we have done all to stand, STAND!

Our Assurance

August 9th, 2016

In Luke chapter 23 while Jesus was yet on the cross He ministered life:

39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you today, you will be with Me in Paradise.”

This passage makes it clear that even at the point of death there will be those who are still blinded by their own ego.  You will notice that Jesus did not respond and speak to that man but instead He assured the other man who could “see”  eternity while on the footsteps of the door to physical death.  Jesus was not moved by man’s decision to evoke the death sentence on this criminal neither was He moved by what the criminal had done to justify the penalty.  Instead, Jesus looked beyond the current circumstances and assured the man of eternal life.  We too must look beyond our current circumstance and trust FATHER’S ability to see us through.

No matter what situation you are in, FATHER can reveal HIS Divine Intent to you.  Here we find a man getting ready to die a gruesome death and he has just received a revelation concerning Jesus Christ.  We must never consider it to be too late for anyone to receive Christ in their hearts and be assured that FATHER will minister Love even to those on their deathbeds.  Let us walk in this assurance each and every day.

Jesus referred to FATHER’S Kingdom as Paradise, not some holding area.  Jesus knew He was going to transition into the Kingdom upon the completion of the work at the cross.  Further He knew that the criminal would be allowed into the Kingdom.  This in itself indicates that any hindrance to residing in FATHER’S Kingdom would be resolved by the cleansing and purging of lawlessness in one’s heart even if it took place after physical death.

Jesus had a brief encounter with a man while in the midst of excruciating pain yet Love still prevailed.  Our Elder Brother never let an opportunity to minister Love pass Him up.  Can you imagine being in the midst of a crisis and FATHER empowering you with HIS anointing to minister life to others?  What a testimony for all to embrace!

Paul also spoke of Paradise in 2 Corinthians chapter 12.  By THE SPIRIT he wrote:

1 Boasting is necessary, though it is not profitable; but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I know how such a man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows—

4 was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak.

5 On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses.

6 For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.

No matter what your history FATHER will ultimately allow access to HIM and you will be able to hear mysteries found in the third heaven.  As we continue to press in and take on HIS Divine Intent of Love, we open ourselves up to these mysteries.  We should expect to hear FATHER’S Words appropriate for our situation, even to the extreme.  HE is not moved by circumstances as HE will prevail in our lives wherever we find ourselves.  Let us walk each day in this assurance.

Faithful and Wise

August 8th, 2016

In Matthew chapter 24, Jesus was asked by the disciples about the end of the Age.  Jesus spoke:

45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.

47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’

49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The point Jesus was emphasizing here is further clarified in Luke’s account: “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.”  The faithful and wise accept the responsibility and accountability of the revelation they have received from FATHER.

Jesus Who is the first begotten Son of FATHER and Who spoke only those Words of FATHER expressed a warning to all who have ears to hear.  To those dull of hearing the warning also applies yet they will wonder how they missed it after the fact and they will experience the weeping and gnashing of teeth.  FATHER has had me writing and focusing on the revelation of Love for over 10 years now and if there is anything that is quite apparent, many people run away from this revelation.  Why?  Because they don’t want to be accountable for it and act accordingly.  Their ego leads them to believe that if they don’t “hear” it, they are not responsible to walk in Love fully and completely.  Their actions which evoke division, isolationism, and elitism are somehow exonerated from the Law of Love.

The faithful and wise servant knows otherwise thus he or she endeavors to Love all.  Though there are times when those who rise up as adversaries would challenge our mandate to Love and forgive, we fully trust FATHER and overcome the adversity presented before us.  As we confront adversity with FATHER’S Words, we give the recipient “meat in due season”.  In Proverbs chapter 15, by THE SPIRIT it is written:

23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,

And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

A Word from FATHER spoken with the motivation of Love will appropriately feed those whom FATHER has placed in our midst.  We are to focus on hearing FATHER in all matters as faithful and wise servants  and speak HIS Words promoting life to others.  The flow begins with FATHER speaking to us and then through us.

What happens if a man’s Love grows cold?  He will beat up others with words of judgment and destruction.  He will become dull of hearing as a drunkard loses his faculties.  He will become bitter and promote division among the brethren by expecting them to perform according to his unattainable standard of conduct.  He will judge himself by his intentions and everyone else by their actions.  Jesus warns us of his fate.

Why go there?  Jesus gave us two Commandments centered around Love thus we should preach this Law of Love in word and deed.  As we do, we will receive FATHER’S Blessing.  If we instruct the brethren in these things, we will be good ministers of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which we have carefully followed.

Walking In The Newness of Life

August 7th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Romans chapter 6:

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,

6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

All of us were born with death reigning over us through Adam’s sin as Paul wrote in Romans chapter 5.  That reality is expressed in the news media throughout each day so there should be no debate concerning man’s fallen state.  It was no different at the time Jesus walked the earth as the Jews were being treated as captives by the Romans who dominated the world by force.  Even Paul (who was Saul) knew all too well how to use power in a corrupt fashion to further his agenda by dominating the enemies of his religion using the legal system to his advantage and promotion.  What better vessel to pick to pen these words than one who had been an enemy of Christ and the life He offers.

We are not to continue our former path which leads toward death and destruction.  A slave is a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.  When we choose the path of sin and death we have become the legal “property” of that choice and thus are judged accordingly.  Paul gives us a list of the fruit of this choice in Galatians chapter 5:

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,

21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The “fruit” of the broad path of destruction is easy to see by simply watching the world news on TV.  Those who promote death and destruction are bloodthirsty and only seek more of the same.  On the other hand we who have chosen to crucify our old man are no longer slaves to sin and now have the ability to walk in the newness of life.  As we press in and take on that newness which is Christ in us the hope of glory, we begin producing new fruit which replaces the fruit of the old man.  Paul lists the new fruit of THE SPIRIT:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

As we have united ourselves with His death, we must also purpose to unite IN HIM in His resurrection and walk in the newness and fullness of His anointing.  Shouldn’t we expect the “whole package”?  Shouldn’t we endeavor to pierce that veil which separates the Spiritual from the physical and no longer be slave to the lower realm?  Jesus eluded to this higher realm when He spoke in John chapter 14:

1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Jesus spoke of this higher realm to be occupied in the here and now as He proclaimed “where I am, there you may be also”.  We don’t have to wait to walk in the newness of life but can live in it now as we take on His likeness.  How do we take on such a likeness?  By walking in Love and not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh as Paul wrote in Romans chapter 13:

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.

14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

We have a directive to walk IN THE SPIRIT and put on the Lord Jesus Christ.  If we were not able to walk in THE SPIRIT, FATHER would not have commanded us to do so.  Each of us has the ability to choose life and thus we are accountable to make that decision.  Let us no longer rationalize why we can’t walk in the newness of life but purpose to walk in that manner with each and every step we take.  Let us cast down those vain imaginations which would challenge this walk we have been commanded to embrace and let the fruit of THE SPIRIT abound in us and through us for those in need to eat and be nourished by the righteousness contained in the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is “life”.
