Joyful Giving

You and I are called to be a blessing to others!

Giving is all about attitude.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 9:

6 Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest.

7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

In other Words, let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God Loves hilarious generosity!

Giving should be intentional “as he has decided in his heart” suggests thoughtful, willing generosity rather than impulsive or forced giving.  Giving should not come from pressure or guilt “not reluctantly or under compulsion” means GOD is not pleased by giving driven only by manipulation, fear, or resentment.  In essence, GOD values the heart as much as the gift.  “God Loves a cheerful giver” points to joy, gratitude, trust, and Love as the proper motivation.

8 Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.

9 Just as the Scriptures say about the one who trusts in Him: Because he has sown extravagantly and given to the poor, his kindness and generous deeds will never be forgotten.

10 This generous God Who supplies abundant seed for the farmer, which becomes bread for our meals, is even more extravagant toward you. First He supplies every need, plus more. Then He multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow.

11 You will be abundantly enriched in every way as you give generously on every occasion, for when we take your gifts to those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God.

Paul also wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians 6:

7 God will never be mocked!

8 The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting Life of the Spirit.

9 And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!

10 Take advantage of every opportunity to be a blessing to others, especially to our brothers and sisters in the family of faith!

So, a “stingy sower” would be someone who gives reluctantly, clings tightly to resources, refuses to help others despite having the ability, or gives with a selfish or fearful heart.

The issue is not merely the amount given, but the spirit behind it. Someone with little money can still be generous, while a wealthy person can be stingy.

Stinginess is often connected with lack of trust in GOD’s provision, selfishness,

greed, or lack of compassion.

By contrast, generous sowing reflects faith, gratitude, Love, and trust that GOD is able to provide.

Wisdom wrote in Proverbs chapter 11:

24 Generosity brings prosperity, but withholding from charity brings poverty.

25 Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor.

Those walking in Wisdom are those who fully trust FATHER’S Word, especially in the area of giving!

Seed Time And Harvest

If you don’t put seed in the ground, you will not have a harvest!

There are different ways of giving.  There is the tithe, the offerings, sacrificial giving, first fruits giving, alms giving, seed sowing giving, partner giving, and grace giving.

In essence, tithing is acknowledging that everything belongs to GOD, expressing gratitude, practicing generosity, resisting greed, and learning trust in GOD’s provision.  When we tithe, we are honoring GOD with our resources and participating in His work and care for others.  It is a primary form of surrender.

Some would argue that tithing was an aspect of the Law in the Old Testament.  Tithing was before the Law was given.

Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Genesis chapter 14:

17 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet Abram at the valley of the Shaveh (known as the King’s Valley).

18 And Melchizedek, who was both a priest of the Most High God and the king of Salem, brought out to Abram bread and wine.

Melchizedek brought a Holy Communion service to Abram.

19 He spoke over him a special blessing, saying, “Blessed is Abram by God Most High, Creator of Heaven and earth.

20 And blessed be God Most High, Whose power delivered your enemies into your hands!” Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all he possessed.

Abram was not a warrior; he was a prophet.  Yet with GOD’S power behind him, he became a conqueror and won a battle against great odds.  Only GOD gets the glory with every victory we experience.

So, in the first book of the Old Testament, tithing is established.  In the last book of the Old Testament, it is once again reestablished.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Malachi chapter 3:

8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.

9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the LORD of hosts;

This is the only verse that tells us what the key to the window of Heaven is.  Your tithing is what opens the heavens over you.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 23:

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.

He reaffirmed tithing but chastised the Pharisees for neglecting justice, mercy, and faith.

Tithing is vital in moving toward full surrender to GOD.  My wife and I have learned this Truth and have experienced exceptional blessings coming from the windows of Heaven.  Are we special?  No more than you.  Have we been broke?  Absolutely! 

Early in our marriage, we learned every way you could think of how to prepare ground beef.  Our best meal of the week was to go to our parents’ house for dinner.  Once we finally began to give, our situation improved dramatically.  Tithing is essential to our wellbeing.  Now we know what a financial harvest looks like.

Eternal Punishment Explained

Eternal punishment is fair and just!

Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Genesis chapter 2:

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

This is the first moral command given to humanity:

Obey GOD; do not eat from the forbidden tree.  We are to trust GOD’s definition of good and evil

Paul explained by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 5:

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-

13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Therefore, death passed unto all men.  When a person dies without accepting the Lord, they remain in a state of spiritual death and separation from God, which cannot be reversed.  Being in a sinful state, man cannot be in the Presence of GOD.

Human sinful nature is inherently incompatible with God’s perfect, Holy Nature. One must be given a new nature through faith in Jesus to dwell with God.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 3:

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

GOD promised us in Ezekiel chapter 36:

26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

And Paul explained it further as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 5:

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

18 Now all things are of God, Who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

This new nature is not earned by human effort, but is given by GOD’s grace. Good works and obedience then flow out of that transformed life rather than creating it.

Time spent in hell cannot serve as payment for sin because salvation is a gift of grace, not something earned through human works.  Once in hell, there is no way out.

Human time lacks the redemptive value necessary to pay for sin; only the shed Blood of Jesus provides sufficient payment.

Additionally, time taken to commit a sin does not dictate the duration of the punishment; even a single sin against a perfect standard carries Eternal consequences.  Because sin is committed against an Infinite, Perfect Being, it warrants an infinite punishment.

For example, insulting or harming a head of state is considered a much graver offense than doing so to a private citizen; similarly, the infinite status of God makes any transgression against His Law an infinite offense.  The severity of a crime depends on the relationship and status of the victim. Punching a mother is a more serious offense than punching a sibling, and since God is the Creator and Source of all life, sinning against Him constitutes an offense against infinite Holiness.

Because God is the ultimate Authority, all sin against Him is viewed as an attack on His infinite Sovereignty, necessitating an Eternal consequence.  As we come to realized how great and all powerful HE is, we will develop a reverential fear and that fear will dissuade us from sinning.

As a 100% just Judge, God must punish sin. However, because He is also 100% Loving, He provided Jesus Christ as the one and only means to take that punishment on behalf of humanity.

As Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 2:

8 For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the Love gift from God that brought us to Christ!

While hell was originally prepared for the devil and his angels, individuals have the personal choice to either receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ or reject it, thereby facing the consequences of their own sin.

A judge who ignores crime or allows criminals to go unpunished is not considered a good or righteous judge. Because God is perfectly Holy and just, His moral Nature requires that sin be addressed and punished.   Sin is a serious transgression against an Eternal, Holy God. Because God is the Ultimate Authority, He is the only One qualified to uphold true justice.

Because of HIS Love for us, God provided Jesus Christ to take the penalty for humanity’s sin on the cross, allowing for a way to be redeemed while still satisfying God’s perfect justice.  This is our basis for declaring the Good News!

Realizing Our Identity

What is the purpose of prayer?

It is to release FATHER’S Hands into the broken situation we face.  Let us be refreshed in the purpose of prayer.

Jesus gave us the model prayer to follow in Matthew chapter 6:

5 “Whenever you pray, be sincere and not like the pretenders who love the attention they receive while praying before others in the meetings and on street corners. Believe me, they’ve already received their reward.

6 But whenever you pray, go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God, praying to Him in secret. And Your Father, Who sees all you do, will reward you openly.

There is a reward associated with prayer.  The reward will either come from men, or it will come from FATHER.  We don’t try to manipulate FATHER for personal gain.  However, HE knows not only your needs but also your righteous desires.  HE looks for opportunities to give rewards.  That is what Love does.

7 When you pray, there is no need to repeat empty phrases, praying like the Gentiles do, for they expect God to hear them because of their many words.

Repeated prayers for what we have need of is not necessary.  HE is not reluctant to meet our needs.

8 There is no need to imitate them, since Your Father already knows what you need before you ask Him.

David wrote by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 139:

1 Lord, You know everything there is to know about me.

2 You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind.

9 Pray like this: ‘Our Beloved Father, dwelling in the Heavenly realms, may the glory of Your Name be the Center on which our lives turn.

When we fully surrender to HIM, HE becomes the Center of our lives.  Jesus identifies HIM as Our Father thus we have a relationship with HIM.  As we grow closer to HIM, HIS righteousness invades our soul.  The two fundamental temptations by the adversary are to question what GOD said, and to question who you are.  Both Adam and Eve, and Jesus while in the wilderness, were tempted in the same way.  What GOD says over your life is the target of the enemy.

10 Manifest Your Kingdom realm, and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in Heaven.

GOD gave us the earth to dwell in and have authority over it.  To be just, HE must be invited to co-labor with us on the earth.  This prayer is the invitation.

11 We acknowledge You as our Provider of all we need each day.

We live in a true household of unlimited resources.  Our mindset must be changed so that our expectations will change.  Our faith and trust will increase.

12 Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.

13 Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil. For You are the King Who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.’

The revelation in a person’s life, helps to establish identity, purpose, destiny, and an awareness of unlimited resources.  This is what Jesus is teaching us in this prayer.

Divine Orchestration

What if I told you that the rapture is expected to happen on or around September 15th, 2027? What would change in your daily priorities? I am not saying that it will, but it could happen.

Over the last several months, The Holy Spirit has led me, compelled me, to write and focus on our complete preparation as the Bride of Christ. It is not “business as usual”. The five wise virgins made the cut, the foolish virgins didn’t.

Servias is actively spreading Agape Love by feeding and clothing the poor. Recently, we created a postcard calling for repentance and salvation… and mailed it to every household in the area. No one can claim ignorance. Your financial assistance has facilitated this spreading of The Gospel.

The number 16 represents Agape Love in Scripture. the following video details sixteen independent, prophetic streams that have never aligned in human history until now. I have a sense of urgency to focus on the Eternal priorities expressed by Jesus in His earthly ministry. I hope you are sensing the same urgency.

2 Peter 3:10 The day of the Lord will come and take everyone by surprise—as unexpected as a home invasion. The atmosphere will be set on fire and vanish with a horrific roar, and the heavenly bodies will melt away as in a tremendous blaze. The earth and every activity of man will be laid bare.

[11] Since all these things are on the verge of being dismantled, don’t you see how vital it is to live a holy life? We must be consumed with Godliness

[12] while we anticipate and help to speed up the coming of the day of God, when the atmosphere will be set on fire and the heavenly bodies consumed in a blaze.

[13] But as we wait, we trust in God’s royal proclamation to be fulfilled. There are coming heavens new in quality, and an earth new in quality, where righteousness will be fully at home.

Return To Your First Love

Have you lost your first Love?

We must never forget the simplicity in focusing on our first Love for Christ.  What are you focusing on in your daily walk?

Chaff is lifeless, only a shell without the kernel.  Chaff depicts a life without the Truth of Christ.  The kernel represents true fruitfulness based on Love’s motivation.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 1:

1 What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat.

2 His passion is to remain true to the Word of “I AM,” meditating day and night on the true revelation of light.

3 He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.

4 But how different are the wicked. They are like chaff blown away by the wind.

Chaff also represents things within a person that GOD wants removed such as pride, hypocrisy, self-reliance, sin, and superficial faith.

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Luke chapter 3:

15 During those days, everyone was gripped with messianic expectations, believing the Messiah could come at any moment, and many began to wonder if John might be the Christ.

16 But John made it clear by telling them, “There is One coming Who is mightier than I. He is supreme. In fact, I’m not worthy of even being His slave. I can only baptize you in this river, but He will baptize you into the Spirit of Holiness and into His raging fire.

17 He has in His Hands a winnowing fork to clean up His threshing floor! He will separate the wheat from the chaff. The wheat He will gather into His barn, but He will burn the chaff in a fire that no one can ever put out!”

The threshing process becomes a picture of purification — separating what is Eternal from what is merely outward.  We can connect this to trials and refinement, where GOD removes “chaff” from a person’s life to produce genuine character and faith.  It is all based on Agape Love.

All success and progress in our lives carries “chaff”—unnecessary baggage that God wants to prune away to keep our hearts fresh.  Often, as we achieve notable success, we will develop pride and self-reliance.  We must guard against such tendencies by focusing on our full surrender to Christ.

God’s discipline is not meant to be punishment, but a form of pruning that prepares believers for greater fruitfulness.  For those who are “listening” to the Word, this process happens through intimacy and obedience rather than just hard circumstances 

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 6:

33 “So above all, constantly seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.”

We are to move beyond being mere consumers of ministry and instead adopt a lifestyle of total surrender, seeking God’s Presence above all else.  What is your priority, to acquire stuff or come into FATHER’S Presence?  As we surrender ourselves to HIM, our first Love will reignite, HIS Holy Fire will manifest in our lives, and the chaff will be burned away.  It’s that simple!

Seeking HIS Ways

What is God doing when things don’t work out like you planned?

We are to shift from merely knowing about God to truly knowing Him.  We should expect detours and crises which are often part of a Divine plan for protection, provision, and destiny.

Wisdom wrote in Proverbs chapter 3:

5 Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on Him to guide you, and He will lead you in every decision you make.

In order to fully trust HIM, you must fully surrender to HIM.  My opinion has only limited value because I inherently have limited understanding, knowledge, and skill.

Great leaders, like Moses, struggled with the distinction of knowing GOD versus knowing about GOD.

Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Exodus chapter 33:

12 Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My Sight.’

13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”

14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

Moses fully acknowledged his own limitations thus he needed supernatural direction and participation to carry out his calling.  FATHER was more than willing to oblige his request.

David wrote by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 103:

7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

We need to prioritize learning God’s “ways” to avoid being misled and to gain Wisdom for our life’s decisions.  I learned this necessity the hard way at certain times in my life.  I am sure that I am not alone in life’s challenges.

David faced repeated trials—running from Saul, living in the wilderness, and finding himself at a low point in Ziklag.  When David returned to Ziklag to find it destroyed and his family taken, his men threatened to stone him.

David responded by “strengthening himself in the Lord”—a pivotal moment where he remembered God’s faithfulness and promises before seeking Him for guidance.

It is recorded by The Holy Spirit in 1st Samuel chapter 30:

6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

There were six ways God was at work in David’s apparent defeat.

First, THE LORD protected him from being forced to kill Saul by having the Philistine lords reject David and his men before the battle began.

Second, THE LORD provided for him through the plunder of the Amalekites.

17 Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled.

18 So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.

19 And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

20 Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”

Thirdly, THE LORD propelled him toward his destiny by leading him to Ziklag.

1 Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire,

2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.

Fourth, this produced a crisis that (fifth) rallied men to his leadership which

resulted in David being promoted through his handling of the crisis.

Finally, the prophet led by THE SPIRIT, pronounced his David’s kingship by granting him favor with the people.

I can’t stress enough the importance of renewing the mind through Scripture.  I would encourage you to study the Bible with the question “Why did You do it that way and not another way?” to uncover the nature and ways of God.  FATHER will disclose HIS Ways to those who ask.

Near-Death Experiences (NDE)

The daughter of a friend of ours, was at the point of death. Her mother was at her bedside and was talking to her. Suddenly, the daughter told her to be quiet because Jesus was talking to her. Then, she peacefully passed away.

Being Prepared

Are you ready?

Readiness requires preparation even though you may have received an anointing.

It is recorded by The Holy Spirit in 1st Samuel chapter 16:

1  Now the LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.“

3 Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you.”

4 So Samuel did what the LORD said, and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, “Do you come peaceably?”

Samuel discerned that the one to anoint was not among the sons who were standing before him.

7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

After Jesse sent for David who was keeping the sheep:

13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him (David) in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward (in power). So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

David was THE LORD’S choice, not that of man.  You and I don’t need to worry about impressing those around us, we simply need to focus on walking in Holiness and righteousness for that is what THE LORD is looking for to carry out HIS plan.  However, was David ready to be king?  No, it would be another 20 years before David would be king.

Saul still wore the crown during that time but had forfeited the anointing.  Which would you rather have, the crown without the anointing or the anointing without the crown?  The Truth is, David wasn’t ready to be king.

The worst thing that can happen to a man is to succeed before he is ready!

Have you been waiting for GOD to use you in a particular area?  I know I have.  HE is still preparing us so let us be patient and longsuffering.  After killing Goliath, David spent the next 20 years running from the jealous King Saul to stay alive.

What did David need before he was ready to be king?

Gratitude: it is important to cultivate a heart of thanksgiving, noting that God Loves gratitude and it is essential for a mature believer.

Mercy: David had to learn the depth of God’s mercy, especially after his own moral failures.  We never outgrow our need for God’s mercy.

Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit: David developed a tender conscience and a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s promptings, illustrated by his restraint in not harming King Saul.

Refraining from Self-Promotion: David learned to trust God’s timing, refusing to force his way to the throne or take matters into his own hands.

Putting God First: The story of David pouring out the water brought by his loyal men illustrated the hardest lesson: prioritizing the honor of God over pleasing people, even those closest to us.

Referencing 2nd Samuel chapter 23:

13 Then three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to David at the cave of Adullam. And the troop of Philistines encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

14 David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

15 And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

16 So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the LORD.

17 And he said, “Far be it from me, O LORD, that I should do this! Is this not the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?” Therefore he would not drink it. These things were done by the three mighty men.

David learned restraint!

Drawing Close To GOD

Let us draw closer to GOD!

It is all about our closeness to HIS Presence.

Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Exodus chapter 33:

12 Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’

FATHER also knows you and me by name.

13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”

14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

16 For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

17 So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”

18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”

19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

There were three things Moses asked of GOD since He knew Moses by name:

Show me Your Ways

I want Your Presence to go with us

I want to see Your Glory

David wrote by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 103:

7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

As we spend time with THE LORD, we will come to know HIS ways, HIS nature, and HIS expectations.  Israel saw God’s acts (miracles, provision, judgments), but Moses came to know God’s ways — His nature and intentions.

We should seek God Himself, not only His blessings.  Many people seek answers,

protection, provision, experiences, and miracles.  On the other hand, Moses pursued a close relationship with FATHER.

God’s ways become clearer through relationship, not merely information.

As we spend time in Scripture, our relationship with HIM will grow closer.

The Bible repeatedly reveals how God thinks, what He Loves, what He hates,

how He deals with people, His justice, His mercy, His Holiness, and His patience.

Especially important are:

the Gospels for seeing Jesus,

Psalms for understanding God’s Heart,

Proverbs for Wisdom,

the prophets for God’s warnings and purposes.

According to the New Testament, Jesus Christ is the clearest revelation of God’s Nature:

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father‘?

We are to obey what we already understand.  Scripture connects understanding with obedience.  People often want deeper revelation while ignoring what is already clear.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 7:

16 So Jesus responded, “I don’t teach My own ideas, but the Truth revealed to Me by the One Who sent Me.

17 If you want to test My teachings and discover where I received them, first be passionate to do God’s will, and then you will be able to discern if My teachings are from the Heart of God or from My own opinions.

Spiritual understanding grows through practiced obedience.  There are times we will learn through trials and suffering.  Many people discover God’s ways most deeply during hardship.

Trials can teach dependence, humility, perseverance, trust, compassion, and surrender.  Often shows God using hardship to shape people.

We are to pray for Wisdom and discernment.  We are encouraged to ask God for Wisdom.  “Lord, teach me Your ways and keep me from deception.”

We are to walk in reverence and humility, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.”  We are to approach God with reverence, openness, and willingness to be corrected.

Pride blinds people to God’s ways; humility makes a person teachable.

God’s ways are consistently marked by Truth, Holiness, mercy, justice, patience, faithfulness, Love, and righteousness.  Anything that contradicts His revealed Character should be tested carefully.

Many want:

power without Holiness,

blessings without surrender,

answers without transformation.

But knowing God’s ways changes the person:

how they think,

treat others,

respond to pressure,

use authority,

handle suffering,

pursue Truth.

To know the ways of God is to seek Him sincerely, study His Word, obey Him,

remain humble and teachable, walk with Him through life, and gradually learn His Heart, Wisdom, and Character through relationship and faithfulness.
