We Are Warned

April 12th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews chapter 5:

11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
We must be vigilant in our pursuit of growing in maturity in our walk with FATHER.  I personally believe this is a daily consciousness of be led by HIM in all we do.  The above passage clearly states we can become slack in our walk and return to the state of being dull of hearing.  What is the key to partaking of solid food?  Discerning both good and evil.

We must protect ourselves from the constant influx of the world’s perversion which is attempting to dilute our understanding, knowledge, and wisdom.  The world is constantly projecting humanistic ideas and philosophies that at best only have half-truths.  We must protect ourselves by hearing FATHER and being fully led by THE SPIRIT as we navigate the constant influx presented by the world.

Truth is only found with FATHER’S Word and Divine Intent and all else is a deviation of the Truth.  Yet if we don’t keep the Standard of Truth before us how can we discern between good and evil?  If we will start the day out with a specific Truth from FATHER, we will be better prepared as we are exposed to all the deviations being promoted from all types of external sources.

There will be those who will attempt to manipulate us away from the Truth and it could even be a loved one but we must remain steadfast in our focus of keeping the unadulterated Word before our eyes.  We must trust FATHER to deal with those who would try to steer us away from HIS Truth and allow HIS judgments to come forth as HE sees fit.  If we attempt to evoke judgment then we have restricted the fullness of HIS judgment.

Let each of us purpose to not lose sight of our overall pursuit toward maturity and become dull of hearing.  Do not grow weary in studying and meditating on The Word.  Let our relationship with FATHER be first and foremost in our priorities.

Our Citizenship

April 11th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Philippians chapter 3:

17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.

18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.

20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Living in Oklahoma, there are many who now associate with their native American heritage.  They buy license tags supporting the various tribes, especially the Choctaw and Chickasaw.  My focus is being a citizen of Heaven where I am 100% rather than an eighth or sixteenth of some tribe.

We must embrace the cross of Christ and die to the flesh rather than live by the cravings of the flesh.  Their flesh is their glory and at best it is temporary in nature.  Why focus on the temporary?  Let us be long term in our orientation for the temporary has “wings” and will fly away.

We look to that fateful day when we are fully conformed to His Glorious Body and we can be assured of the Truth because FATHER ordained it and intended the end result by HIS Love for us.

Earthly things are fleeting at best and are subject to deterioration.  New houses and cars become old and in disrepair so why place so much emphasis and focus on the temporary?  Let us invest our time in the eternal rather than the external knowing that all things will be subdued BY HIM.  Paul continues in chapter 4:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

While we are in this transition, we are urged to be in prayer and supplication with FATHER knowing HE will provide us with our needs. This will result in HIS peace guarding our hearts and minds no matter what is happening in the outside world.

Pursue Peace and Holiness

April 10th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews chapter 12:

5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:

“My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,

Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens,

And scourges every son whom He receives.”

7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?

8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

FATHER’S grace is sufficient for us no matter what state we are in.  If we are being physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged let us embrace the challenge and receive the profit to be gained in the experience.  If we are never challenged, how can we then relate to those who are?  Jesus had compassion on the multitudes as He ministered healing and deliverance.  He fully understood what they were going through and His unconditional Love prevailed on their behalf.  He came that we might have life and more abundantly.

Our challenges are only temporary and we must not let them overshadow our pursuit of life, peace, and holiness.  Yes, we will be persecuted for Christ’s sake yet we know that in the end we will receive our Heavenly reward.

12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,

13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

No matter what state we are in, let us draw on the strength and power of Our Heavenly FATHER for HE is our sufficiency in all things.  Let our ministering angels come forth on our behalf just as they did when Jesus had completed the testing in the wilderness.  In 2 Corinthians chapter 12 FATHER told Paul “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Life has its ups and downs but it should not determine our commitment to peace and holiness.  FATHER is looking for those who are trustworthy and consistent in their walk.  Let us be counted among those Sons and Daughters.

Above All

April 9th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT it is written in Hebrews chapter 13:

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

If there is any verse we must keep at the forefront this is the verse.  Jesus is the manifested Word and Divine Intent of FATHER and we must compare any position, argument, or reasoning against the Standard of Jesus Christ’s spoken Words.  Jesus did not promote the excessive commentary of His Words found in the New Testament.  Further, He did not promote complexity by establishing more commandments and statutes for people to live by.  In fact, He reduced the need to memorize 613 commandments and statutes by clearing stating the Divine Intent of the Law in Matthew chapter 22:

34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.

35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,

36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Which would you rather do- memorize six hundred thirteen commandments and statutes or know and understand two?  Jesus promoted simplicity so that no one would be left behind due to their intellect.  The experts in the law approached Jesus and He corrected them.  Saul (who was Paul) had advanced training and knowledge of the Law yet he persecuted believers because of their faith in Jesus Christ.  Saul’s understanding was “darkened” and he did not realize it until his corrective interview with Jesus found in Acts chapter 9:

3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.

4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.

8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

Jesus appeared to Saul as a bright light and Saul fell to the ground.  Saul’s understanding would no longer be “darkened” because the light had arrived and consumed the darkness.  Further, Saul could not see for three days and Saul fasted during the time of blindness.  To confirm His Word, Jesus sent Ananias to miraculously open Saul’s eyes as a confirmation that Jesus’ Words were True:

17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.

Saul had spent his entire life training and studying to become an expert yet in three days all of his assumptions were toppled.  Jesus did not preach some lengthy message but simply dealt with Saul in a direct and decisive manner.  How simple!  Has Jesus changed from this simplicity?  No, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

In True Righteousness And Holiness

April 8th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 4:

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,

18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

What does ignorance and blindness of the heart result in?  Lewdness, uncleanness, and greediness.  Another way to describe this state is indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness or an insatiable desire for more.  The current environment is overrun with people who fit into this category.  The local and national news channels provide the populous with a steady flow of reports describing people of this nature.  How much longer will FATHER tolerate the spread of this unholy and lawless behavior?

Paul continued:

20 But you have not so learned Christ,

21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

We are called to put on the new man and be a standard unto this world of gross darkness.  We are charged with putting off our former conduct which leads to corruption and deceitful lusts.  We must be renewed in the spirit of or mind.  This cannot be an occasional focus but needs to be at the forefront of our priorities every single day.  We must die to the flesh fully and completely to remove the residue of the old man.  Our issue is not with some external enemy outside of us but instead is the old man found within.  The old man would have us believe that there is nothing to change inside of us.

We must be careful not to focus solely on external events when the real challenge is the man in the mirror.  Each of us must be brutally honest with out deepest thoughts and determine if those thoughts are righteous and holy.  If they are not then we know the old man is lurking in some crevice deep within and must be rooted out once and for all.  We must go to The Word and allow it to further cleanse us until we become spotless in HIS sight.

In 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT:

5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

We must not allow our understanding to be darkened by men’s opinions, customs, or traditions.  We must stand watch over what we take in through our eyes and ears and guard our hearts from man’s devices intended to cause us to go astray from that straight and narrow path.  Men will tickle our ears with some word beginning with “Thus saith The Lord” but we must allow the Holy Spirit to confirm any word and its relevance to us individually.  To the pure, all things are pure so we must rely on The Holy Spirit to discern any word given for we are “wired” to believe and the old man knows this.  This is exactly why I keep urging us all to seek FATHER’S Voice in all circumstances and not rely on man’s version of what FATHER is saying today.  Man may add or subtract from any Word given because of the subtleness of pride.  Let each of us pursue a walk of true righteousness and holiness which necessitates us hearing FATHER and being led by THE SPIRIT.

April 6th Dream

April 7th, 2017

It is spoken by a seraphim from the Throne Room of Our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY in Isaiah chapter 6:

9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:

‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;

Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

10 “Make the heart of this people dull,

And their ears heavy,

And shut their eyes;

Lest they see with their eyes,

And hear with their ears,

And understand with their heart,

And return and be healed.”

11 Then I said, “Lord, how long?”

And He answered:

“Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant,

The houses are without a man,

The land is utterly desolate”

Soon the pain of remaining in gross darkness will exceed the pain of crying out in repentance.  Darkness prevails when there Is no understanding and the eyes of their understanding have been darkened as revealed in Ephesians chapter 4 to Paul by THE SPIRIT:

17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,

18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;

19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

I had a dream in the early morning hours of April 6th where I had the responsibility to translate documents from one language to another (generally English).  A man provided me two specific documents and though I did not know the precise content, the first document was a record of the inheritors.  The second document was a prophetic warning of note.  The second document was very disturbing even though I was not able to read the content since I was not given the translated document.  I knew by THE SPIRIT the original document contained a serious warning which necessitated the translation to occur.  When I awoke from the dream I perceived it to originate in THE SPIRIT and that it was tied to Isaiah’s warning.  I will not add to or take away from this dream but provide it to you so that you may ponder it as well.  I believe this dream was to be shared and I place no qualifiers of my own.

The Importance of Light Within

April 6th, 2017

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in Philippians chapter 2:

13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,

15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

Why do we continue our pursuit toward full maturing in Christ in order to counted among the Sons?  It is because FATHER is in us WHO gives us the desire and the power to bring forth this effort.  That in itself should be cause for celebration.  This why we should do all things without complaining or disputing but walk out each day with gratitude because of who we are IN CHRIST.

The crooked and perverse generation all around us would have us take on their characteristics rather than FATHER’S.  We must guard our hearts as we walk out our individual callings and let our lights shine in the world.  We must refrain from entering into the arguments of the world for their various situations are temporary and subject to change at any time.  We must keep our peace while the heathen rage all around us.

The greater the darkness, the greater the contrast when light arrives on the scene.  Light always overcomes darkness.  Psalm 82 equates darkness to lack of understanding which causes instability:

4 Deliver the poor and needy;

Free them from the hand of the wicked.

5 They do not know, nor do they understand;

They walk about in darkness;

All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

FATHER’S Word is pure light and when man’s opinions, customs, and/or traditions are added, the light is reduced by the departure from The Word.  Where there is no Word, darkness prevails.  In Matthew 6 Jesus spoke:

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.

23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

In the above passage, Jesus speaks of wealth and associates it with “your eye is good thus your whole body will be full of light”.  If you are generous and a cheerful giver then you have light in you whereas if you lay up temporary treasures for yourself without regard to those in need then you have great darkness within.  The world would try to place us in bondage by mortgaging our future with things we don’t really need.  If we have monthly obligations which consume our income then it becomes difficult to be a cheerful giver.

Each of us has a responsibility to listen to FATHER as we make daily decisions which impact our future.  We must seek HIS Wisdom which is pure light and we must let that light be our guide as we navigate this crooked and perverse generation.  The system wants our cash for their benefit without regard to our future.  FATHER wants us to fulfill HIS Will and do HIS good pleasure without being limited by past mistakes.  Each of us should give and assist as HE leads us.  In doing that our lights will grow brighter and be a testimony unto those around us.  We are not obligated to support institutions of man’s doctrines, traditions, or customs even though they may attempt to make us feel guilty if we withhold our support.  If they bear no fruit, then why support the dead?  Let us focus on the living and fruitful works of FATHER which may not be connected with any institution.  Let our lights grow brighter in the darkness we each encounter each day.

Divine Intent To Heal

April 5th, 2017

By THE SPIRIT the Beloved Disciple wrote in John chapter 3:

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

The serpent in the wilderness is the one referred to in Numbers chapter 21:

4 Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way.

5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.”

6 So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.

7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, “We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you; pray to the LORD that He take away the serpents from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

8 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.”

9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

The people sinned against Moses which means they sinned against FATHER’S plan, will, and purpose.  They called the manna “worthless”.  In response the LORD sent judgment among the people and they repented.  The LORD heard Moses’ prayer and had him raise up a fiery serpent on a pole which foreshadows Jesus being raised up on the cross.  In comparison:

When the people looked at the bronze serpent, they were healed.  When people looked to Jesus, they too were healed.

Sin and sickness came to us through the fall of man.  We must look to the Savior for redemption and healing.

In Exodus 15:26 FATHER made a covenant of healing with the children of Israel.  The bronze serpent was provided in response to this covenant.

Once they confessed their sins, their sickness was healed.

If every person who looked at the brazen serpent was healed then we should expect everyone who looks to Jesus should be healed as well.

The poison serpent bite resulted in the death.  The wages of sin is death today (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.).

FATHER heard the cry of the people in the wilderness and provided the serpent lifted up.  The remedy today is Christ lifted up.

The remedy then was for those who looked up.  The remedy today is for whosoever believeth IN HIM (John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.).

The children of Israel received forgiveness of their sin and healing in their bodies.  How much better is the New Covenant!

There were no exceptions in the wilderness- “everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live”.  There are no exceptions today for our remedy is for “whosoever believeth”.

Everyone was commanded to individually look at the serpent.  We too must individually believe on Christ today.

The people did not beg or make an offering then.  Today is no different.

They were not told to look at Moses but instead look to the remedy.  We are not to look to the preacher for our remedy either.  We are to look to Christ.

They were not to look to their snake bite symptoms but instead look to their remedy.  We must not allow our symptoms to be our focus either but instead look to Christ Our Healer.

Their curse was removed by lifting up a type of Christ.  Our curse was removed by lifting up Christ Himself (Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)).

John provided us with the comparison in verses just prior to the well known verse John 3:16.  This comparison assures us of the perfect sacrifice Jesus became that we might be fully redeemed and restored.  FATHER is just as interested in our welfare now as HE was with the children of Israel in the wilderness.  Let us remove any and all obstacles preventing us from receiving HIS fullness.
