The Spirit of THE LORD

October 7th, 2014

The quickening Spirit of THE LORD is all about relationship.  When you spend time with someone you develop a deeper relationship.  You begin to know their uniqueness and what is important to them.  You learn their ways, their focus, and their history.  You “know” them well enough that when someone says something about them, you can agree or reject their statement.

How well do you know Jesus Christ?  How well do you know the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY?  Do you know HIM well enough to call HIM FATHER?  This term demonstrates relationship.  Who is first and foremost, preeminent in your life?  This is your “First Love”.

Prayer is communication and communion with FATHER, not a method of petitioning and convincing.  Fellowshipping brings for the essence of communion.  When I asked my earthly dad what he wanted for his birthday, he said “Quality time with you”.  Do you think Our Heavenly Father is any different?

Your “First Love” is a pure Love.  As Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”  Your eyes are opened as your focus on Love increases.  No longer are the trials drudgery but opportunities to express your commitment to HIS path.  Sin is no longer appealing because the old man is withering away from the scene.  This “First Love” is not immature but fully developed because you are willing to give your life to HIM, setting aside and cleansing fleshly aspirations deposited by the world into your consciousness.  Paul understands the need to protect yourself from the fleshly desires by reminding us of our body being a temple for the Holy Spirit to reside in us:

1 Corinthians 6:

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Paul goes on to say that “Christ” lives in us:

Galatians 2:20  “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

This highest form of Love is reflected in the “Spirit of THE LORD”.  HE is IN US, at the center of our being, and wants to flow outward through our soul and our body to become fully expressed in our lives.  As our soul submits to HIS Spirit, we begin to be led by the SPIRIT- not my will but Your Will be done.  We become in unity with the Spirit of THE LORD.  Are you allowing THE SPIRIT to emanate outward?  If not, repent and put on the mind of Christ!  Repent of being fleshly and soulish.  To be a light unto the world, we must be led by HIS SPIRIT without any hindrance from the soul or the body.

The Son of man came not to be served, but to serve and as we walk in HIS SPIRIT, we will have the same heart for all mankind, not just a few of the seemingly deserving of our attention.  HIS Love will be poured out through us to all, even the enemies of the Cross.  There is no substitute for being led by THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD!

John’s Encounters

October 6th, 2014

The Apostle John had more distinct and separate encounters of Jesus Christ glorified than any of the other disciples.  Why?  I believe it was due to the beloved disciple’s revelation of agape Love and he was called to bare record of Jesus Christ to not only the church but specifically to the remnant, the elect, the overcomer.

John, Peter, and James were the disciples of the inner circle.  They were given the opportunity to view the transfiguration of Jesus:

Matthew 17:

1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

9 Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.”

The second time after the resurrection:

John 20:

19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

The third time:

26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

The forth time at the shore of the Sea of Tiberias in John 21:

4 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”

They answered Him, “No.”

6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. 8 But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. 9 Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.

14 This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.

The fifth time John encountered Jesus was on the isle of Patmos:

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

The Gospel of John is truly the “first” (alpha)  Gospel in that it begins with “In the beginning”.  The Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ is the “last” (omega) Gospel.

Love has been given the mystery to be revealed.  The Beloved Disciple who had more encounters than the others was tasked with the message of Sonship.  He eludes to it in the 153 fish of the last chapter of the alpha Gospel.  The full disclosure comes in the omega Gospel given to him that overcometh.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

The Seven Spirits

October 5th, 2014

As we discussed in our recent Sunday Bible study, the Seven Spirits are listed in Isaiah 11:

The Spirit of the LORD (1)  shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom (2) and understanding (3),
The Spirit of counsel (4) and might (5),
The Spirit of knowledge (6) and of the fear of the LORD (7).

These are somewhat progressive in nature in that there is an indication of maturing as you move through each of these in order.  Seven is a number of fullness, maturity, and completion.  This prophetic picture of “Jesse’s Offspring” is that of Jesus Christ, the pattern Son.  The last of the Seven Spirits is the fear of the LORD.  In the next verse the focus is on this particular aspect:

3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD,

And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,

Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

4 But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,

And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;

He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,

And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,

And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

The Sons who become the expressed image of Our Heavenly Father will also take on the Seven Spirits.  As a son is perfected in the training select by FATHER, the son becomes the “expressed” image desire by FATHER.  Jesus was the manifested Son and only operated according to that which was given by FATHER.  The son is called to express and manifest the Glory of the FATHER to all men on earth.  Paul responded to those who did not know FATHER with

Acts 17:28   for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

A seed must produce after its own kind.  If you plant an acorn, be assured you will grow an oak tree, not a poplar, aspen, or maple tree.  Peter writes:

1 Peter 1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

As the incorruptible seed grows in us, the fullness of the Spirit will spring forth and we will be seen just as the original Word of GOD was manifested in the flesh.

Kingdom Power and Authority

October 4th, 2014

At what point are we ready to receive power and authority from Above?

But God is preparing a people in this hour to receive Kingdom power and authority.  He is preparing our hearts with the washing of water by the Word.  Further, HE is purifying our souls by conforming us to HIS Image.  His Divine Intent  cleanses our motives and changing our desires.

Who is qualified to receive such power and authority?  It is one who is not moved by men’s doctrines, but instead one who perseveres and is patient.

Philippians 2:14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

To be as lights, we must be constant in our walk which is an indication of full maturity and stature. We walk in Love and in service to all mankind.  The purpose of this light is to bring exposure to the world for correction.  Otherwise, death and destruction is assured.  Our Heavenly Father will not raise up bloodthirsty sons to judge the world, only those who have put on the breastplate of righteousness as well as Love and faith (1 Thessalonians 5:8)  The breastplate is meant to protect the internal from the external.  Those in the world are to be converted from vessels of dishonor to vessels of honor.  Until the standard of the “light bearers” arrive, how are they to know which vessel they truly reflect or represent?  These sons of light “so loved the world” just as FATHER does.  Their mandate includes reconciliation and restoration just as the Intent of Our Heavenly Father when HE sent HIS only begotten Son.

The mature sons are called to greater works.  This requires the power and authority from Above, not some endorsement by some religious or educational organization.  Paul’s former endorsement was counted loss.  He found out where the true power and authority lies.  His prayer is appropriate for us as we ascend to full maturity:

Colossians 1:9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.

Light will cause the eyes of our understanding to be illuminated.  Our walk will light the way for others to follow.  The path or the WAY is narrow but will be well lit by those who shine forth.  They will be endued with power and authority to bring forth the Kingdom as Babylon is ground to dust.

In HIS Presence

October 3rd, 2014

Laws are set in place to manage behavior.  If you break the laws set forth by men, they will put you in jail in order to restrain you.  They name the prisons using terms such as reformatory or correctional.  Most leaving the prison are not corrected or reformed.  They may be a little more cunning or sly in the future, hoping not to get caught the next time.

When we are saved Christ lives in us and we are now a temple or dwelling place.  We have become sanctified or holy in our spirit.  When we are in HIS Presence, we are on Holy ground.  All of Heaven proclaims “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord GOD Almighty”.

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to abide in us:

1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

We are told to glorify GOD in our body.  In the center is our spirit and moving outward is our soul and finally arriving at our body.  Man’s carnal nature cannot live in HIS Presence, he will die.  The soul and the body want to keep the Presence from overtaking their position in the believer.  The problem is man’s carnal nature cannot be “fixed” and our prisons are a testimony to that.  Men must be transformed and this will occur as we submit to HIS Presence.  As we submit to the fiery furnace and let the wood, hay, and stubble be burned away, the glowing Presence will remain.  IN HIM we have our being.

This is not an external work but an internal work moving outward.  If your focus is on the external works, signs, types, shadows, dates, time cycles, customs, feasts or other external representations, you will miss HIS Presence within you.  The outside will not invade the inside.  You will not wake up one day and have some special oil pouring on you cleansing the soul and the body.  Au contraire, the work is occurring from the inside out.  The body is the last to be dealt with, not the first.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Your body will be a living sacrifice only after you “prove” by the renewing of your mind.  The “Holy of Holies” inside each of us is highly protected from the carnal man.  However the veil is waiting to be rent in two by placing the carnal man on the altar and letting him die.  When this veil is torn, the Presence will come forth brighter than the noonday sun.  This light will expose any issue needing to be resolved.  Impurities will be burned away and the dross will be removed.  Men will then be unable to resist the light that draws them near.  At that moment, the fullness of time is at hand.

Do you think you have to do this by yourself and by your own power and tenacity?  No, be of good cheer:

1 Thess 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming (Presence) of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Called Out Ones

October 2nd, 2014

The word church mean “called out”.  The question is-  called out of what?

Matthew 16:

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea (Severed) Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Jesus gave the disciples a revelation of who the called out ones are.  They are those who Our Heavenly Father reveals “Christ”.  These called out ones are also the ones who are given the keys of the Kingdom.

Just prior to giving the disciples this revelation, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducees who understood the “letter” of the Law but failed to understand the “Spirit” of the Law.  They were the ones who were always seeking signs:

Matthew 16:1 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; 3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed.

There is a severing occurring.  Those who are called out are coming out of man’s  assemblies called churches.  These are the ones coming into unity with Our Heavenly Father’s Divine Intent.  The called out ones are pressing in like never before, anticipating the fullness of Christ in them to be a light unto the world, shining brighter than the noonday sun.  They are no longer satisfied with types, shadows, signs, etc. but are focused on the ONE they are all pointing to.  Being called out does not mean you have arrived yet.  The called out ones are ascending to meet Him.  They are journeying toward full maturity and perfection.  They are coming into Christ’s assembly- the true church.

Hebrews 12 states it well:

22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Pressure causes growth

October 1st, 2014

Tribulation:  a pressing, pressing together, pressure,  oppression, affliction, tribulation, distress, straits.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;

4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  NKJV

Those who are committed to ascend in Love should expect pressure.  This pressure may come from many different sources.  Well-meaning family members or friends may try to sway you to their way of thinking.  Bible teachers will present credible arguments for proceeding down a different path.  Adversaries may be raised up to teach you about Loving your enemies.  We are to persevere through the tests and trials, afflictions, and pressure that arrive at our doorstep by viewing them as opportunities of growth.

To persevere means to endure, bear bravely and calmly, so don’t be moved when you are tested.  Instead, smile and embrace the opportunity to grow and ascend to a higher level of maturity.  Listen to Our Heavenly Father’s voice as HE instructs you in handling the pressure.  Do not be tossed to and fro by the trials but instead set your rudder as instructed by HIM, knowing that patience will have it perfect work and that each test and trial are designed to perfect and mature us in HIM.  Set aside the old man’s call to return to the “flesh” as though the temporal could contain a solution.  Only from Above is where true peace is found in the midst of the tribulations.  Remember, it took a lot of pressure to form a diamond.  You may be surprised at how much pressure you are really able to handle once you are no longer moved by it.

Perfecting the Saints

September 30th, 2014

There is a time coming when those who are currently in power will no longer be in control over mankind.  It is they who are “coming to nothing”:

1 Corinthians 2:

6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,

Nor have entered into the heart of man

The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

We will soon be sealed with the Mind of Christ.  FATHER is revealing HIS plan to those who have been ordained before the foundations of the world to bring forth HIS Kingdom, not with man’s earthly, sensual wisdom, but the Wisdom found only in HIM and revealed to us through HIS Spirit.  The Law without the Spirit is dead and is a harsh taskmaster, continually requiring performance and action.  Paul further states:

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

16 For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

All the highly intelligent men of today think the “called out ones” are foolish yet the current system continues to move toward utter destruction.  All the think tanks around the world cannot seem to bring forth peace, safety, and adequate food, shelter, and clothing for the masses.  Their solution?  Reduce the population… as long as they are not counted among those being “reduced”.

The elect are being prepared with the Mind of Christ and the perfecting is done by the power of Love.  Once this impartation is complete, they will be sealed with the Mind of Christ and at that point the fullness of time is at hand.  This impartation of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill will be activated with grace, that is HIS Divine enablement.  This has been a hidden work.  The remnant have come to understand the futility of the carnal mind and have put off the former conduct.  Their minds are being renewed in preparation for the fullness of their calling.

The remnant are fully submitting to be led by HIS Spirit.  The things of this world no longer appeal to them.  They are answering the call to come up to the Spirit.  They are indeed putting on Christ.  Love is binding each one into the glorious Body of Christ.  This is the true unity that can only be attained by those who walk in Love and not just speaking idle words without actions to confirm their intent.  Those who talk the talk without the walk are simply clouds without water:

Proverbs 25:14  Like clouds and wind without rain Is a man who boasts of his gifts falsely.

When the harvest is at hand, those with fruitfulness will be separated from the tares.  The fruit determines the disposition.  They are the ones being matured unto good works for the Kingdom.

A Conservative View of the Debt
