A Call to Repentance

November 16th, 2016

In 2 Chronicles chapter 7, FATHER spoke:

14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.”

As a country, the United States needs to repent.  The sanctity of marriage, the unborn, and the worship of THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY have been compromised.  FATHER will protect us as individuals just as HE did when the children of Israel waited in their houses for the judgment of Egypt to be completed.  Once finished, the children went through the portal and departed Egypt.  They were not removed from the time of judgment but instead were sustained.  The time grows short and it is imperative that we not grow weary in our earnest pursuit of completely trusting in FATHER concerning every aspect of our life.

Love Heals

November 15th, 2016

Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 8:

14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever.

15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

Jesus never passed up an opportunity to heal those who were sick.  Peter’s mother-in-law was one such person who surely rejoiced and reported of Jesus’ healing power.  There was no mention of her being in sin, she was simply sick with a fever. In Luke we are given additional perspective:

38 Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her.

39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

Jesus rebuked the fever.  The word rebuke means to express sharp disapproval.  Jesus did not belittle the lady for being sick nor did He correct her in any way but instead He simply ministered healing to her.  He did not tell her that FATHER wanted to teach her a lesson and that she must endure the sickness as a result.  Her body immediately responded to His touch and rebuke.  In addition, her strength was quickly restored which allowed her to serve the group.  Can you imagine the discussion afterward?  It is clear to us that FATHER’S Will is to heal us of our infirmities fully and completely.

Continuing in Matthew chapter 8:

16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,

17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying:

“He Himself took our infirmities

And bore our sicknesses.”

Isaiah prophesied by Divine Inspiration.  The Words he spoke were given to him directly by FATHER and we have been given the opportunity to see these Words come to pass.  In addition to our salvation, we are intended to live above sickness and disease.  The world would tell us their pharmaceuticals are the answer.  I say that we should earnestly desire and pursue FATHER’S Divine Intent for healing and restoration.  Is it a sin to take a pharmaceutical?  Absolutely not.  Until our faith rises up and removes all doubt and unbelief, we should seek FATHER in what HE would have us do.  Sometimes we need some relief in order to redirect our focus away from the pain while we pursue HIS perfect Will.  If we are void of HIS Word in an area it takes time to be “filled” with HIS Word.

Jesus did not deny the fact that the fever existed in Peter’s mother-in-law.  He simply dealt with it.  By THE SPIRIT James wrote in chapter 5:

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

There are times our beloved brothers and sisters get sick.  The demands and complexities of this world have become a challenge to our health.  Our nutritional sources are being compromised thus our bodies are working overtime to remain healthy.  We must not let pride or denial prevent us from focusing on FATHER’S Word concerning our healing.  Love is in the healing business and let us embrace any opportunity to align ourselves with one of the primary ministries of our elder Brother Jesus for He was in the healing business.  So should we.

Earnest Desire

November 14th, 2016

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 1 Corinthians chapter 14:

1  Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

In this one verse we are given the simplest of directives by FATHER.  Our first and foremost goal is to be fully grounded in Love and pursue its path in all matters.  Our perspective must be Love’s perspective when dealing with the various situations in life.  Our core motivation must be that of Love and not of self thus we will not exploit men as FATHER endows us with Spiritual gifts.

Earnest desire is serious, purposeful, and focused intent.  Once we have matured in Love let us earnest desire Spiritual gifts in order that we may better serve mankind.  When we see the multitudes in need we should be moved with compassion just as Jesus was moved with compassion in Matthew chapter 14:

14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

Love not only is but Love does.  We must not let our hearts grow cold but stoke the fiery Word in our hearts and let our passion for the lost and sick motivate us to pursue FATHER’S Spiritual gifts in order that we may minister to a dying world.  Jesus proclaimed that we should “Go into all the world” so let us become fully equipped and answer the call.  By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in 2 Timothy chapter 3:

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We should earnestly desire to be complete and equipped for every good work to benefit others, not just our self.  As we become fully equipped, we should expect the Holy Spirit to draw men and women to us in order that we may minister life to them.

In seeking the Spiritual gifts, we are to especially focus on prophesying.  To prophesy is to speak by Divine Inspiration.  In other words, we should speak what we hear FATHER telling us.  In John chapter 14, Jesus spoke:

10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

All the words Jesus spoke were Divinely inspired by FATHER WHO dwells in Him.  FATHER dwells in us as well and we are to become HIS Mouthpiece to minister to all mankind.  Let our words be Divinely inspired and prophesy to those whom FATHER sends to us.  As we fully mature in these directives our “tent stakes” will be expanded and our ministry of Love will grow.  Let us earnestly desire to pursue the Spiritual Gifts given to us by FATHER.

Seeking To Glorify FATHER

November 13th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT the beloved disciple John wrote what Jesus spoke in chapter 15:

7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

Jesus only spoke the Word FATHER gave Him to speak thus FATHER’S Words abiding in us is the prerequisite to success.  Matthew wrote by THE SPIRIT for our edification in chapter 10:

1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

These twelve men had no worldly qualifications to boast about but they were simply willing vessels to be used by FATHER.  Jesus instructed them:

7 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”

Consider the impact of this directive.  Were any of these men uniquely qualified to heal the sick prior to Jesus’ instructions?  Did any have a prior recorded history of healing the sick?  Only after being called, instructed, and given the power by Jesus did they carry out this directive.  Their only limitation was their faith as indicated in Mark chapter 9:14-29.  It should be our earnest desire to carry out FATHER’S Word on this earth and we must not concern ourselves with the opposition by the world as we walk out HIS Word.  Wisdom spoke in Proverbs chapter 13:

13 He who despises the word will be destroyed,

But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.

14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life,

To turn one away from the snares of death.

Our reward of fruitfulness are the riches laid up in Heaven.  Jesus told the seventy who returned from ministering in His Name: “Rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”  This seventy received the same commission as the twelve disciples yet they were unnamed in the Gospels.  Let us also seek to serve mankind in the same manner that FATHER may be glorified on earth in the times we are now in.  We are willing vessels to minister in the same manner that Jesus commissioned the seventy as well as the twelve.  In Luke 10 Jesus spoke to the seventy:

9 “And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”

Upon their return:

17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

The power and authority Jesus spoke over them certainly exceeded their expectations.  Let us no longer settle for anything less than the fullness of Christ in our lives.  Let us fully embrace FATHER’S Word of Love, faith, and hope as we nurture the Word in us to grow to full maturity.  We should expect a bumper crop of fruit to come forth in our lives just as the twelve and the seventy experienced.  Jesus chose people with no credentials to do exceptional works on behalf of the Kingdom.  In that sense, you and I are qualified to walk out the commission in similar fashion.  In Mark 16 Jesus spoke:

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

All Things Are Possible

November 12th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT, Mark wrote in chapter 9:

17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.

18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”

This particular passage is very enlightening if we will only consider what is being said.  The disciples were expected to heal this man’s son but they were unable to fulfill the request.  We are told elsewhere that the disciples of Jesus went out and healed people of infirmities but this young boy required something beyond their current anointing.

19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”

20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.

21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”

23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

The world constantly sows words of unbelief, scarcity, “incurable” diseases, projected famine, and overpopulation.  They would have us believe that FATHER is no longer accessible, even to the point HE no longer exists in some people’s minds.  They begin trusting in man’s sensual wisdom until a catastrophe happens then they shake their fist at GOD asking “Where were you?”.  They have sown seeds of unbelief for years then expect FATHER to show up at their convenience while they have not pursued any kind of relationship with HIM at all.  By HIS Divine Intent of Love FATHER has given us the necessary path to a fulfilled life yet many choose otherwise.

25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.”

27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.

28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”

29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

Jesus had not yet gone to the cross when He chastised the disciples for their lack of faith.  Healing by HIS Word existed from the moment FATHER created mankind and HE does not hold back HIS healing power from us awaiting some event or date.  We must no longer settle for less when it comes to FATHER working in our lives but instead truly believe that “All things are possible” to him that believes.  How do we remove unbelief?  By prayer and intimate communication with FATHER.  Let us pursue HIS Presence with the greatest of commitment and let nothing prevent us from this critical pursuit.  Let us dwell on HIS Word in the areas of our weakness and become strong IN HIM.

The disciples asked why they could not cast out the dumb spirit thus they had an expectation to be successful in doing so.  Jesus gave them the key to healing the sick and casting out spirits- only by prayer and fasting.  Let us take this instruction to heart ourselves for FATHER has not changed and is still known as JEHOVAH RAPHA.  FATHER spoke in Exodus chapter 15:

26  and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will permit none of the diseases on you which I have permitted on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Thing That Defile

November 11th, 2016

The word defile means to make unclean, unholy, unfit; to desecrate.

In Mark chapter 7, Jesus spoke:

14 When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear Me, everyone, and understand:

15 There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.

16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Men can modify their behavior and appear respectable and upstanding but when pressure arrives we often will see what is in their heart.  Actions speak louder than words.  The sad truth is revelation becomes tradition as time passes unless we maintain our vigilance in pursuing greater maturity and solidify our Spiritual walk.  The Pharisees were an excellent example of performing the outward acts yet their hearts were cold.  Jesus continued:

17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable.

18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,

19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”

20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.

21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

FATHER gave us the food laws to protect us from potentially unhealthy food but if we pray over food that may be tainted I am fully persuaded FATHER will bless and nourish it to our bodies.  This is why praying over food is so important and should not become a tradition.  It should be a time of gratitude and unity.

Each of us knows our own thoughts and what we dwell on.  These thoughts are hidden from others but not from FATHER.  When defiling thoughts come we should immediately cast down those thoughts and not allow them to take root.  We must purpose to not be tempted to be tempted.  What does that mean?  Wisdom tells us in Proverbs chapter 5:

1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding,

2 That you may preserve discretion, And your lips may keep knowledge.

3 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil;

4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death, Her steps lay hold of hell.

6 Lest you ponder her path of life—

Her ways are unstable; You do not know them.

7 Therefore hear me now, my children, And do not depart from the words of my mouth.

8 Remove your way far from her, And do not go near the door of her house

If you know a place where you can be tempted, don’t even go near the door to the temptress, let alone knock on the door and enter in.  Deal with the “door” or the thought immediately.  We must protect our heart from temptation and let no evil thought gain traction in our life.  This is where defilement begin.  As we take control over our mind, we will then be in command of our life.

Be Not Ignorant

November 10th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in 1 Timothy chapter 1:

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,

13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

We were all of a sinful nature prior to our salvation in Christ and we walked in ignorance and blindness to FATHER’S Word.  However by HIS grace and mercy HE has wiped away our sins and made us a new creation.  By Jesus accepting and taking on our sins thus becoming the sin offering by His blood, we have been made pure and whole IN HIM.  We must no longer be uninformed of our inheritance IN CHRIST.

Paul called himself the chief sinner referring to his past.  We all can relate with a past which was less than righteous thus we should be equally grateful for our salvation.  One thing we should not do is remain ignorant and assume we have arrived at the fullness of Christ.  Salvation was not the final destination but the beginning of a new journey toward the full understanding of being a vessel of honor on behalf of Our Heavenly Father.  We are to walk in the same footsteps of Christ and give of ourselves fully motivated by Agape Love.

Yes there will be times of longsuffering for there are some who wish to remain ignorant as we minister in their midst but we must not be dismayed but continue in our walk.  FATHER changes not and thus if there is a problem in our life we must look in the mirror.  We must ask FATHER to reveal what needs changed in us.  As we do this HE will reveal what is hidden inside of us in order that it can be dealt with in proper fashion.

Wisdom wrote in Proverbs chapter 16:

18 Pride goes before destruction,

And a haughty spirit before a fall.

19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly,

Than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Pride in this sense is preoccupation with self.  On the other hand Love is being “preoccupied” with the best interest of others.  We must consider others and the impact we have on them.  Let us not be stumbling blocks to their growth in Christ.  The stronger must minister to the weaker.  Let us not be puffed up in our knowledge and use it to belittle those who are ignorant of FATHER’S Word.  Instead, let us lovingly minister life when given the opportunity.  Sometimes, saying nothing may be the best position to take until that person is ready to hear instruction.  Let us continue to study THY Word to show ourselves approved but moreover let us hear HIS Voice which will be an appropriate Word for us today.

Thank You!

Looking Up

November 9th, 2016

Jesus knew from whence miracles came.  He understood the key to overcoming the world of scarcity and operated accordingly.  By THE SPIRIT Mark recorded in chapter 6:

39 Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass.

40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties.

41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

42 So they all ate and were filled.

43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.

44 Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

Students of the Bible tend to overlook the obvious while searching for some hidden revelation.  The miracle began with “Jesus looked up to heaven and blessed”.  The source of all miracles comes from Above and thus we should focus our attention and expectation there instead of looking for signs, formulas, and potions to bring about a miracle.  In Luke chapter 21, Jesus was asked about the end times and He spoke:

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;

26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

The world system is in disarray and chaos.  No matter who leads the countries around the world there will be judgment come upon the land.  How are we to respond?  We need to “look up” and express our gratitude toward FATHER and trust HIM in these times.  We must quit looking to the created to solve the problems they created.  Instead we must look up toward FATHER in the Spiritual where every aspect of life is derived from.  FATHER is not limited by what man has created and perpetuated and HE will respond to those who seek HIS Face.

Heaven and earth must submit to the CREATOR’S Divine Intent and FATHER will use any resource for HIS Purpose.  HE has set apart those vessels to bring forth HIS Word to this earth to be planted in our “earth”  or bodies.  The seed of the Word will bring forth of multitude of its own kind and we are called to plant and water knowing FATHER will provide the increase.  Let us be unceasing in our sowing of the Word in people’s lives.

Jesus appeared to Saul on the road to Damascus and at that time opened Saul’s ears to hear His Voice.  First Paul had to hear the Word which was planted in his heart by Jesus.  Afterward his eyes were opened to see as recorded by THE SPIRIT in Acts 22:

12 “Then a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good testimony with all the Jews who dwelt there,

13 came to me; and he stood and said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him.

Jesus preached the Word and then looked up toward Heaven to receive the miracle working power of the Word.  Let us hear and dwell on FATHER’S Word then look up toward Heaven to receive the manifested miracle of the Word we have planted in our hearts this day.  As we do, we will come to expect those miracles to become commonplace among us for FATHER watches over HIS Word to perform it.
