Being A Follower Of Christ

November 24th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Matthew wrote in chapter 12:

22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.

23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”

24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”

Jesus had just cast out a demon and was accused of being aligned with satan.  Jesus removed the demon keeping a man from being able to speak and hear but instead of praising Our Heavenly Father, the Pharisees sought to discredit Jesus.  Can you believe how those who want to control others’ lives can be so bold as to challenge the miracles performed before their very eyes?  Their spiritual blindness was truly great.  Jesus spoke:

25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.

30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”

The solution to our problems is always found at a higher level than the problem.  Sin and sickness is not resolved at the same level where it occurs or it would not have occurred in the first place.  Man cannot save himself thus he must seek a higher power to save him from his sin.  Miracles are not performed by men but instead they originate from FATHER and men are simply the vessels used by FATHER.  Jesus spent more time healing the sick and casting out demons than preaching salvation.  Why?  The needs of the multitudes were great and Jesus was filled with compassion.  We too should be focused on serving mankind by accessing the Power from Above.  Instead, many have simply become observers of the Gospel rather than followers of Christ and actively walking in His footsteps.

We must not be intimidated by demons, sickness, or disease.  Rather than agree with man’s diagnosis of the problem, we should seek Heaven’s solution to the problem.  Some solutions may require much prayer and fasting but Jesus never spoke of impossibilities.  On the contrary, He provided the solution to man’s problems.  As a follower of Christ we should press in and expect results even greater than what Jesus produced.  Why?  Because Jesus specifically said in John 14:12-14:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Those who are embracing the revelation of Love will most assuredly pursue this declaration.  This is not a time to sit back and watch but instead the time is at hand to be stirred up and rededicate our priorities as followers of Christ.  A follower will pursue that same narrow path that Jesus walked.  We should expect the same fruit to come forth… even greater as our Elder Brother declared.  There are those who will fall by the wayside but it is their choice to allow “the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in to choke the Word”.  My responsibility to those who read this Is to present the choice given to us.  Until the Kingdom of FATHER has fully manifested, there is much for us to do.  Let us be doers of The Word and not hearers only.

Raised To A Higher Level

November 23rd, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians chapter 6:

12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.

FATHER called us to live at a higher level rather than submitting to the cravings or physical desires of the body.  As children many of us sought out cookies and ice cream to the point of excess.  If one cookie was good, two were better.  If we weren’t held back by Mom, we would eat all the dessert before dinner was served.  We were growing boys.  As we mature, we must bring our bodies into subjection and not be moved by any whim or craving for if left unchecked that whim could become a major focus in our life.

The lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh must be dealt with before either becomes a major issue.  We must not let ourselves be brought under the power of anything which would prevent us from living according to FATHER’S perfect plan, will, and purpose.  We must bring our mind and body into submission and stay away from the door which leads to the path of destruction.  It is better to eat to satisfy hunger rather than satisfy one’s appetite.  We must not become a slave to anything and this is accomplished on a daily basis as we journey through life.

Paul wrote by THE SPIRIT in 2 Corinthians chapter 10:

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

We must be in command of our minds and bodies.  We must bring all things into captivity which would deter us from being raised to a higher level.  The body wants to be in control and have its desire to be fed and to be passive.  The mind wants to be “tickled” by every wind of doctrine and pursue its curiosity and burn up hours of the day.  If either were given control we would no longer mature to a higher state.  We must keep both in submission to our spirit.  In order to be led by THE SPIRIT we must not be led by they mind or body.

Those who live in moderation in both body and mind will inherit “the earth” as Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 5.  We must be about OUR FATHER’S business thus we must focus on what matters to HIM, not our body or our mind.  As we restrain the flesh and bring it into submission, we become more sensitive in the Spiritual realm.  As we quiet our mind, we are better able to hear in the Spiritual realm.  In order to “Go into all the world” we must be prepared both physically and mentally to do so.  Let us make sure that our bodies and our minds submit to our Spirit Man where the true power lies.

The Interim Financial Issue

November 22nd, 2016

We know the “endgame” of what FATHER is doing by HIS Word.  In the meantime, there is the need to be wise in understanding what the current system is doing.  The following presentation provides an interesting perspective to financial issues around the globe:

THE Call

November 22nd, 2016

The Holy Scripture is not just another interesting read but is a call to action!  Inspired by The Holy Spirit countless men and women prophesied of the arrival of Our Savior and when He arrived full of The Holy Spirit and power, He confirmed The Word with signs and wonders.  Jesus Christ is the manifested Word and He called us to action as well.  Multitudes have read The Word but have not been doers of The Word thus they failed to respond to the calling by The Word.  In Matthew chapter 22, Jesus spoke:

1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said:

2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,

3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.”

Who restricted access to the wedding?  Not the King.  Every man and woman were given the opportunity to attend yet they were unwilling to heed the Call.  Their interest was not sufficient to set aside all else in order to attend the wedding.  Their priorities lied elsewhere because they were not being led by THE SPIRIT.  The King provided a “second witness” to His attempt to bless the people:

4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’

5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.

6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them.

Man’s sensual wisdom prevailed and blinded them from being blessed.  They disrespected the King’s authority and power by their actions.  Some were too busy and some were simply wicked and lawless.  The excuses were many but the result was the same- they failed to answer The Call.  The mind would tell you this parable was limited to the call of Israel and it was intended and restricted to the children of Israel.  Wrong!  This parable goes beyond history and applies to this very day.  It is just a relevant today as it was when Jesus spoke these Words two thousand years ago.  FATHER isn’t limiting those who are called, men are by their unwillingness to respond.

7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.

9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’

10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

The King was determined to have the wedding even though many invitations were unfulfilled and rejected.  FATHER has given each of us a calling and HE has also given us the choice to reject that calling.  It is solely up to us how we respond.  Once we make the decision to earnestly seek HIM, the choice becomes so obvious in our eyes versus the alternative.  FATHER is determined to have the wedding AND the guests no matter who rejects HIS invitation.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.

12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

We have another choice to make.  Are we preparing ourselves to attend or do we simply try to do the minimum in order to attend the wedding.  There is a ramification to being unprepared.  If you choose to attend but fail to prepare accordingly, you will not be allowed to stay in the midst of The King.  You will be escorted away from The Glory of the Wedding.  We actually are given two choices in the matter.  Respond to The Call and once we respond, make preparations to fully embrace The Call.  Those who are “chosen” are those who decide to be chosen.  We must quit acting like FATHER places restrictions that most are unable to attain.  FATHER is the limiting factor, our decision to respond is.  Respond and embrace The Call today!

In Search Of

November 21st, 2016

By THE SPIRIT it was written in Genesis chapter 3:

1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;

3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

The fig leaves were sought to hide the Truth of the matter.  Adam and Eve chose to disregard FATHER’S warning and the first act after the fall was to cover up the reality of their nakedness.  They were now living their lives based on creating a perception rather than Truth.  Fast forward to the time of Jesus.  By THE SPIRIT Mark wrote in chapter 11:

12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.

13 And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

14 In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.”  And His disciples heard it.

Jesus approached the fig tree in search of fruitfulness and only found leaves.  This story is both a  parable and a miracle so we must not disregard either.  Jesus expected fruit to be present on the fig tree but it was only producing leaves which provided the perception and expectation of fruitfulness.  He found no fruit.  How many of us are kidding ourselves by living only by perception and producing no fruit?  Are we making a difference in other people’s lives or are we having no effect?  Let us proceed to being fruitful in our purpose, not just taking up resources as the fruitless fig tree.

The fig tree was also involved in Jesus conveying a Truth about faith.  The disciples observed a miracle when Jesus spoke to the fig tree:

20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.”

22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

Let us embrace both lessons found in this passage about the fig tree: we need to be fruitful and we need to exercise our faith and doubt not.  How can we be fruitful if we lack faith?  How can we know if we are called to an area of interest if we find no fruit being produced in that area?  It is critical that we spend time with FATHER so that we deploy our resources toward being fruitful rather than simply biding time and supporting a perception.  The fig tree is meant to produce fruit and if it doesn’t within a reasonable period of time, it is to be plucked up and placed in the fire so that other trees can be planted and produced fruit from that ground.

We are to be fruitful in whatever and wherever we are placed.  Let us not settle for “leaves” only but expect “fruit” to come forth.  We must be patient yet when the fullness of time has arrived, we must be brutally honest in our observation and review.  If an area of interest is not bearing fruit, did we exercise our faith or did we simply accept a path we were never meant to pursue?  FATHER is ready and willing to correct the situation as we pursue time with HIM.  Paul (who was Saul) had taken the wrong path yet FATHER used him mightily.  Let his example be our encouragement.  Let each of us assess what we are in search of… let it be fruitfulness.

Ending Passiveness

November 20th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT, Mark spoke in chapter 6:

12 So they (the disciples) went out and preached that people should repent.

13 And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.

As believers in Christ we have been given the command to proclaim the Gospel of Christ and expose the lawlessness at hand.  The word repent means to change one’s mind, path, or direction; to reconsider.  Many people have lost their moral compass and live their life with the “anything goes” mentality without any guidance to what is righteous, lawful, and proper.  Some people where pajamas in public as though they think they are starting a new trend.  Others walk around with their pants appearing to be “falling down” and holding on by the crotch.  When perverseness is left unchecked, society degenerates to new lows.

Before the disciples went out, Jesus empowered them:

7 And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.

8 He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts—

9 but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

10 Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place.

11 And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

Were the twelve and the seventy the only ones to receive power and authority?  Absolutely not!  There have been many since who have carried the Gospel with the same power and authority up to this very day.  We must earnestly desire to walk in the same manner and seek FATHER in this area.  Let us come boldly to HIS Throne to be anointed just as the twelve and seventy were empowered.  There is a dying world out there that needs to hear the Gospel with signs following.  In chapter 16:

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Notice that the first thing Jesus did was to have a corrective interview with the disciples for He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart.  We might need this same correction.  We must no longer be passive but speak HIS Word boldly as we are given opportunity.  Now is the time.

They Were Amazed!

November 19th, 2016

By THE SPIRIT Mark wrote in chapter 2:

1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.

2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them.

3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.

4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,

7 “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?

9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’?

10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic,

11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Jesus was now a mature Son and could represent FATHER fully and completely thus He had the power and authority to forgive sins, cast out devils, and heal the sick.  The world cannot comprehend this mandate and did not expect to see the fruitfulness of the Kingdom before their very eyes.  However we should expect to operate in the same manner as we earnestly seek and desire the Spiritual gifts Paul speaks of in 1 Corinthians chapter 12.  As we continuously walk in the revelation of Love and as our faith becomes “great” faith, we will have signs following.  It is time to focus on what is important to the Kingdom and FATHER will take care of our needs as they arise.

These writings are meant to encourage you with HIS Word for us today!

Without Limitation

The beloved disciple wrote by THE SPIRIT in John 11:

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”

44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.”

The human body is subject to FATHER no matter what state it is in.  We must no longer regard death as a permanent state but look to FATHER in determining HIS plan, Will, and purpose for individuals.  If we are called to a work that will take more time FATHER will not allow death to swallow us up and short-circuit our calling.  I have had three instances where death was the expected result but FATHER delivered me out of harm’s way.  We should not fear death but instead trust FATHER.  HE will dispatch HIS angels and/or healing power in order to prevent any obstacle from hindering our purpose.  Knowing this brings forth peace.

We are not restricted by some condition man would set forth.  Let us no longer limit FATHER by our own understanding and knowledge.  HIS ability exceeds the vastness of the universe and we must simply acknowledge our limitation and listen to whatever HE instructs us to do.  There is nothing insurmountable in HIS EYES thus let us begin to see, hear, and respond in the same manner.

Let us increase in faith on a daily basis by meditating on HIS Word.  May we be fully passionate for HIS Presence and interaction with us so that we can minister to a world in dire need.  We must resist not the change brought on by THE WORD but embrace whatever change is necessary to remove any hindrance to the Divine flow in our lives. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” will become alive in each of us as we are perfected in faith being motivated by Love.

No Need To Wait

November 17th, 2016

People are constantly waiting and watching for a sign while people all around them are suffering.  FATHER called HIMSELF “I AM”.  In Exodus chapter 3:

13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”

14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”

15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’”

We serve ONE WHO IS, not will be.  By THE SPIRIT David wrote in Psalm 103:

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

4 Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Notice the present tense of what FATHER does.  We need not wait for some future watch date, star alignment, or other such sign.  Let us expect our deliverance today… now!
