Thank you for your tithes and joyful offerings supporting Servias Ministries. My wife and I deem it an honor and privilege to tithe into Servias ourselves. We fully comprehend the importance to help impoverished children which is where most if not all of the money we receive is distributed. Our overhead is low and we pay no salaries because FATHER provides our needs through other means.
Jesus expressed His priority for the poor in the story of the rich young ruler. In Matthew chapter 19, Jesus spoke:
21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
The young man failed to understand that giving his past wealth was an investment in his future wealth which would be much more precious and abundant.
Earlier in Matthew 19, Jesus corrected the disciples concerning children:
13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.
Our assistance directed to impoverished children is a high priority as it is with Our Heavenly Father WHO directed HIS Son to speak concerning the poor and children in the above passages.
