It is written in Isaiah chapter 35 by THE SPIRIT:
3 Strengthen the weak hands,
And make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and save you.”
During our time of preparation we should expect extreme challenges to be placed before us. Pain often accompanies the challenge and we must be willing to suffer some level of pain as we navigate through these challenges. When Paul was shipwrecked, I am sure there was physical pain and suffering endured during the event. As Sons and Daughters we must be willing to “toughen up” relative to what FATHER has called us to do for the Kingdom. HE does not inflict pain for the sake of punishment but instead is the ONE WHO will relieve the pain once endured.
Our hands may be tired of performing necessary tasks for the Kingdom. Our knees may be tired due to the challenging walk set before us but the answer is not to slack off but be renewed in strength as we continue this journey with FATHER. HE may activate us tomorrow so we must not fall short in our preparedness. If there are tasks to accomplish today, just do them. We do not procrastinate because we have weak hands or feeble knees. We simply stop and seek the leading of the Holy Spirit to determine the next priority we should direct our focus toward. Our bodies will try to talk us out of taking that next step but let our faith in FATHER be the determinant in taking on the next project. In Hebrews chapter 12 the same passage is referenced:
12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,
13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
WE are to strengthen the hands and knees. Let us accept this responsibility to renew our resolve!
