Embrace The Tests

By THE SPIRIT it was written in Hebrews chapter 5:

13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.

14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Jesus lived in obscurity until He reached the age of 30 and once He was of full age, His ministry lasted only 3 1/2 years.  Ninety percent of His time on earth was spent in preparation for the ten percent completing the fulfillment of the ages.  Do you think He simply kicked back and did nothing for those thirty years?  Not at all.  He spend 90% of His physical life in trials and testings just as we experience ourselves.  Hebrews chapter 4 confirms:

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I have suffered in many areas of my life due to failures and weaknesses and I thank FATHER for bringing me through them all.  Little did I realize HIS intervention during some of those times for at the time I simply felt “lucky” to have survived them.  Many of us looked for instant success only to be knocked down once again.  Over the years I have come to realize that if you simply continue pursuing FATHER’S Divine Nature and the right path for your life, ultimately you will be rewarded for your tenacity.

If success in your calling were to come easy, you would not need to pursue an intimate relationship with FATHER because you would think you possess all the independent qualities required for everything you set your hand to do.  Failure in your calling brings the realization that you still lack some missing piece to the puzzle.  This directs you to seek out FATHER for further training.

There are those who are content with living an unfulfilled life and do not aspire to full maturity in their gifts.  Typically it is due to evil words spoken over them and they need to be encouraged by those who are more mature and have overcome words, lies, obstacles, and illusions that would promote failure.

My outlook dramatically improved when I discovered starting the day with FATHER provided me the assurance that I could deal with any issue confronting me that day.  I became more sensitive to being able to discern both good and evil knowing that FATHER “had my back”.  Yes, there were days I failed but FATHER would point out where the mistakes were made, whether in the physical or in the Spiritual.  HE would show me my weakness so that I could focus on turning it into a strength.  I began to focus on what was important in the long term rather than requiring short-term success.  Believe me when I tell you that I  requested and required HIS mercy rather than HIS judgment.

This is the reality:

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

You cannot escape the fact that FATHER knows every particle in our body and is well aware of our thoughts and intent yet HE continues to train us up into maturity.  Otherwise I would have been removed from this earth long ago.  If there is anything I learned over the past 45 years, it is to not attempt to justify or rationalize my lawlessness but simply and quickly ask to be forgiven and purpose to turn that weakness into a strength.  Embrace the tests and be real concerning your failures.  Don’t try to live an illusion but take each failure and ask FATHER to show you the intent behind the failure so you can mature.  AS you do, you will become more and more like HIM.  Isn’t that our goal?
