By THE SPIRIT in the book of Joshua it was written in chapter 14:
6 Then the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal. And Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him: “You know the word which the LORD said to Moses the man of God concerning you and me in Kadesh Barnea.
7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart.
8 Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
What will be your testimony at the culmination of your purpose? Each day we are either walking out our purpose found within our hearts or we are delaying and/or rejecting our calling. There were twelve spies sent into the Promised Land but only two fulfilled their purpose and trusted wholly in FATHER’S Word. Yes, you could say the others fulfilled a purpose of unbelief but I would say FATHER does not promote failure among HIS creation. There is a Remnant in each generation who have committed to a similar path of Joshua and Caleb, even if it gets down to two men and their families staying on that narrow path.
Ten spies were moved by what they saw when they spied out the land and they were able to convince the children of Israel to remain in unbelief. Caleb was a man of faith and was willing to wait 38 1/2 years to begin to receive his inheritance. He never wavered but wholly followed the LORD OUR GOD. The sooner you come to the realization that wholly following FATHER‘S Divine Intent promotes life, the better off you will be. What else really matters?
9 So Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children’s forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’
10 And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old.
11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in.
12 Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said.”
13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.
14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.
Caleb was now eighty-five years old and had not lost any strength but was able to take the land promised him and still fully trusted in FATHER to empower him to take the land of his inheritance. There are those who are occupying your land today and have lawlessly claimed it as theirs. The original “title” to every aspect of this earth belongs to FATHER, no matter what its composition or nature. We have the right as heirs to whatever FATHER has designated as our Promised Land and we should also wholly follow Our Heavenly Father and take this earth back as the rightful possession of HIS Kingdom.
The ten spies were moved by what they saw rather than the Word FATHER spoke assuring them of success. Even though FATHER had delivered them out of the hands of the Egyptians and provided food and water in the wilderness, they still doubted HIM in their hearts. This led to their demise in the wilderness. Let us be of good courage as FATHER speaks to us and instructs us to do things that go against the world’s wisdom. Let us respond positively to HIS guidance each and every day. Cast down those vain imaginations directing you to any path other than righteousness. The more you respond to FATHER’S directives, the more peace you will walk in no matter what the circumstance. The Psalmist wrote by THE SPIRIT in chapter 40:
1 I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
3 He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5 Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.
Let FATHER operate in the midst of your heart as command your mind to become your servant rather than your ruler. Be not moved by what you see when it conflicts with FATHER’S instructions for the things of this world are temporal and subject to change. Embrace the reality that HIS Kingdom is not only in Heaven but is also to be realized on earth as well. As it is in your heart, so will be your actions and success.
