The Prosperous Soul

The Beloved Disciple John wrote in 3 John:

2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Within this one verse, there is much power.  If anyone understood the Divine Intent of FATHER having spent 3 1/2 years with HIS Beloved Son, it would be John whom Jesus Loved.  John’s first priority is the prosperity of our soul or Spiritual health and Spiritual success.  In the “faith” movement, evangelists would focus on physical prosperity without first considering the Spiritual requirements.  People wanted the result without regard to the intent of the Spiritual Truth found in this verse.

The “cause” of success in all things including health is that your soul has become successful in Spiritual matters, not the opposite.  People are eager for a quick fix to their problems and many evangelists were willing to accommodate their eagerness by selling the concept of man’s view of FATHER’S Word.  Many who were fleeced will no longer consider the very Scriptures which contain the promises of FATHER to HIS children.

Jesus never walked in scarcity but had sufficiency in all things.  Prosperity is relative to your needs and calling.  I don’t need five cars to provide me transportation.  Prosperity in transportation is a good, reliable vehicle.  There is a simplicity in prosperity that suggests it is as important to not have too much as it is not to have too little.  There are men and women who have a “scarcity” mentality and hoard possessions as though FATHER will cut off the flow at some point.

In Luke chapter 6, Jesus spoke:

38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Jesus expects us to be successful which in turn allows us to give out of Love.  If you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly for you determine the measure by which you will receive benefit.  It is all about intent.  We should never pay too much for a good or service but more importantly we should never pay too little.  When you exploit the situation by paying too little, you are not Loving the other person and thus you restrict the measure of your return.  FATHER is interested in fairness in all matters of exchange.  When you muzzle the oxen, you minimize the output benefitting those who are being fed by the oxen’s output.

Is there an issue of scarcity in Heaven?  Not at all.  FATHER allows no scarcity in Heaven and it is HIS Divine Intent for Heaven and its qualities to come and be fully expressed on earth in all areas.  We must quit omitting aspects of Heaven which are not currently operating in our individual lives.  If I am living in lack in a particular area it is because I have yet to receive revelation in this aspect of HIS Divine Intent.  I am void of HIS Word thus I should focus and renew my mind to the revealing of the Truth and Intent about this area.

Jesus multiplied fish and bread when the need arose and provided the young man with twelve baskets of food to take home, notably more than what he came with.  Jesus is generous by nature and expresses FATHER’S generosity.  We must not limit FATHER by our past misconceptions based on men’s teaching and interpretations.  As we embrace the fullness of Love we will become generous to others.  When my grandkids have a need, I don’t look to barely fulfill it.  I truly want to exceed their expectation.  Is FATHER any different?

In Luke chapter 11 Jesus spoke:

9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?

12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

FATHER is more than willing to give good gifts to HIS sons and daughters.  By giving the Holy Spirit FATHER has given us a means to daily guide our footsteps to success in all areas of our lives.  First the Spiritual, then the physical.  As our soul prospers by being led by THE SPIRIT, we will be successful in health and in all we set our hand to accomplish thus we will eliminate scarcity in our lives.  In turn we can be a blessing to others because now we have the ability to give.
