1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. NKJV
From time to time it is important to focus on the above reality. We are HIS Temple. This is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and we should honor that reality and act like it. Out of my Love for the brethren is the reason for these daily blogs. It is my desire that you mature into well-pleasing Sons of GOD. Based on what I see, the world will need us sooner rather than later. The time is now to set aside distractions that would prevent the fullness of our maturity. We must protect our path toward maturity in all facets.
Are you easily distracted by discussions that have little to do with the maturing process? Are you disciplined in your daily pursuit of obtaining the mysteries set aside for this day and hour? Do not grow weary in well doing.
As we are being perfected, we must accept correction and make the necessary adjustments so as to maximize the desired result. We must look at any failure in a positive light and adjust our actions, methods, and responses accordingly. This is true in any pursuit. It would seem that some people think they can simply coast through life and that on one particular day, Our Heavenly Father will sprinkle an anointing on them and they will become a “Son of GOD”. If Jesus had to prepare, be assured we must prepare as well. We are provided with countless examples of the process of maturing. The old man wants the easy way out without any accountability or responsibility.
You are responsible for your Temple. I am responsible for my assistance in maturing the Sons. We all are accountable for our individual callings.
What happens if you are consistently irresponsible? Our Heavenly Father will destroy the temple. HIS Holiness is everlasting thus judgment against defilement is everlasting. Remove the defilement and you remove the judgment. The wood, hay, and stubble get burned up in your life. Our Heavenly Father provides a “defilement-removal” process as an aspect of HIS Love.
Matthew 18:
6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
8 “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire. NKJV
We are told to remove anything that defiles or offends. We must not let anything prevent us from entering into life. Please, make adjustments as necessary.
