Believing And Trusting- Part 2
October 4, 2026 – 3:12 amBelieving and trusting are closely related!
It is easy to get into a spiritual rut if you allow yourself to get slack on a daily basis. I have disciplined myself to pray first thing every morning.
We must not allow ourselves to lose our “First Love”!
Jesus spoke in Revelation chapter 2:
2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;
3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My Name’s sake and have not become weary.
4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first Love.
And Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 13:
3 And if I were to be so generous as to give away everything I owned to feed the poor, and to offer my body to be burned as a martyr, without the pure motive of Love, I would gain nothing of value.
13 And now abide faith, hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.
Everything we do should be based on Agape Love! Servias Ministries promotes this vital Truth.
What was the motivation causing FATHER to make a covenant with Abraham? Love! FATHER wants us to walk in HIS blessings all the days of our lives. How? By being led by HIS Holy Spirit.
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Deuteronomy chapter 30:
19 I call Heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you Life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose Life, that both you and your descendants may live;
20 that you may Love the LORD Your God, that you may obey His Voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which The LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
You and I are meant to embrace the Abrahamic Covenant given to Abraham thousands of years ago. FATHER has not changed HIS Mind.
GOD spoke to Abraham in Genesis chapter 12:
1 Now YAHWEH said to Abram, “Leave it all behind—your native land, your people, your father’s household, and go to the land that I will show you.
2 Follow Me, and I will make you into a great nation. I will exceedingly bless and prosper you, and I will make you famous, so that you will be a tremendous source of blessing for others.
3 I will bless all who bless you and curse all who curse you. And through you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
What was the point of Abraham’s wealth? It was to be a tremendous source of blessing to others!
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Deuteronomy chapter 8:
5 You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.
6 “Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His Ways and to fear Him.
18 “And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
Paul was well aware of the Abrahamic Covenant that Jesus walked in and he reconfirmed to us that we are under this Covenant as well.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 3:
6 Abraham, our father of faith, believed God, and the substance of his faith released God’s righteousness to him.
7 So the true children of Abraham have the same faith as their father!
8 And the Scripture prophesied that on the basis of faith God would declare gentiles to be righteous. God announced the good news ahead of time to Abraham: “Through your example of faith, all the nations will be blessed!”
9 And so the blessing of Abraham’s faith is now our blessing too!
And:
14 Jesus Christ dissolved the curse from our lives, so that In Him all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon gentiles. And now through faith we receive the promised Holy Spirit who lives in us.
15 Beloved friends, let me use an illustration that we can all understand. Technically, when a contract is signed, it can’t be changed after it has been put into effect; it’s too late to alter the agreement.
16 Remember the royal proclamation God spoke over Abraham and to Abraham’s child? God said that His promises were made to pass on to Abraham’s “Child,” not children. And who is this “Child?” It’s the Son of promise, Christ Himself!
Since we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ, the Abrahamic Covenant belongs to us as well! Let us fully believe and trust in FATHER’S Covenant to us.
