The Importance of The Blood of Christ

Peace with GOD comes only through the Blood of Jesus Christ!

Religion is man’s attempt to reconcile himself with GOD… and he can’t do it.  Jesus Christ was the most anti-religious man that ever walked the planet Earth.  Man can’t reconcile himself to GOD, GOD is Who does the reconciling through Jesus Christ.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 5:

1 Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and He now declares us flawless in His Eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us.

2 Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!

3 But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble (tribulations) we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance.

4 And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope.

5 And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless Love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us!

Believers are justified by faith; they now have peace with God through Jesus Christ.  There is no other means by which we can obtain this peace.  This peace means the hostility between humanity and God is removed.  Believers also gain access to God’s grace and hope of sharing in His glory.

Suffering (tribulation) is not pointless—it produces perseverance → character → hope.  This hope is secure because God’s Love has been poured into believers’ hearts through the Holy Spirit.

Faith in Christ changes your relationship with God and gives meaning even to hardship.

GOD’S greatest problem: to compromise HIS hatred of sin would be to compromise HIS own character.  HE Loves us so much, HE wants to save us and reconcile us to HIM.  As I recently wrote, GOD’S justice is as important as HIS Love.  Sin is not allowed in HIS Throne Room.

How can a just GOD justify sinful man?  How can HE permit man to enjoy the destiny GOD made for us?  GOD can’t compromise HIS justice!  How does HE resolve this issue?  HE makes sure it’s paid for… and man can’t do it.  GOD paid for it Himself by becoming man and paying for it Himself, the perfect expression of Agape Love.

In Romans chapter 4, Paul refers to Abraham and David who referred to GOD’S greatest gift.

Romans 4:

3 Listen to what the Scriptures say: Because Abraham believed God’s Words, his faith transferred God’s righteousness into his account.

4 When people work, they earn wages. It can’t be considered a free gift, because they earned it.

5 But no one earns God’s righteousness. It can only be transferred when we no longer rely on our own works, but believe in the One Who powerfully declares the ungodly to be righteous in His Eyes. It is faith that transfers God’s righteousness into your account!

6 Even King David himself speaks to us regarding the complete wholeness that comes inside a person when God’s powerful declaration of righteousness is heard over our life. Apart from our works, God’s work is enough.

We earned nothing ourselves.  FATHER took care of the sin issue specifically through the Blood of Christ!

Paul continues in chapter 5:

6 For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate His Love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves.

7 Now, would anyone dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person.

8 But Christ proved God’s passionate Love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!

9 And there is still much more to say of his unfailing Love for us! For through the Blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in My Sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God.

10 So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to Himself through the death of His Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in His resurrection Life, how much more we will be rescued from sin’s dominion!

11 And even more than that, we overflow with triumphant joy in our new relationship of living reconciled to God—all because of Jesus Christ!

The next time you partake of Holy Communion, take it in all serious and reflection of what it represents.  Your relationship with GOD is based solely on the sacrificial Blood of Christ!
