The fourth Name revealed of FATHER is EL SHADDAI The God Who is more than enough!
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Genesis 17:1 NKJV
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God (El Shaddai); walk before Me and be blameless.”
Abram had left the multiple gods of Ur and put his trust in Elohim, the One True and Living God. As a result, he discovered that our God is Yahweh, who is not a distant deity, but the One Who ‘cares for us intimately.’ Years passed, then Abram surrendered to Him as Adonai. As a result, God revealed Himself as El Shaddai, ‘The One Who is more than enough.’
This Pathway of revelation concerning God’s Nature and Names is no coincidence but is a vital journey for entering into ‘the fullness of the blessing of Abraham.’
It did not matter that Abram was an old man and his wife way past the age of bearing a child. No request is too great, and no problem is too big for El Shaddai.
Each time God reveals His Name, He reveals another aspect of what He
wants to be to us:
He wants to be your Elohim, for Whom nothing is too hard, for Whom
nothing is impossible!
He wants to be your Yahweh, to care and provide every blessing
conceivable for you.
He wants to be your Adonai, Your Lord – not to rule and dominate you,
but to protect you from the wicked one, who wants to mess up your life
and leave you as another one of society’s tragedies.
He wants to be your El Shaddai.
The title El Shaddai, means ‘The God Who Is More Than Enough.’ God is more than enough to meet any need you have. He is not ‘just enough’ – He is more than enough. He does not just make you a conqueror, He makes you more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
By this Name, God is saying to you, ‘I am more than enough to meet every need that you will encounter! Do not worry about what the future may hold or what challenges you may face, I, The God Almighty, El Shaddai, am with you.’
Abraham introduced his son Isaac to God by this Name. No doubt, He told Isaac many times of his own miracle conception. Abraham spoke of El Shaddai because Isaac told his son Jacob to look for El Shaddai’s provision.
Moses recorded by The Holy Spirit in Genesis chapter 28:
1 Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.
2 Arise, go to Padan Aram, to the house of Bethuel your mother’s father; and take yourself a wife from there of the daughters of Laban your mother’s brother.
3 “May God Almighty (El-Shaddai) bless you, And make you fruitful and multiply you, That you may be an assembly of peoples;
Jacob started out using trickery to get whatever he wanted and soon
discovered that ‘what you sow you will reap’.
After suffering his trickery, Jacob encountered El Shaddai in Genesis chapter 35:
9-11 ‘And God (Elohim) appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of
Padanarum, and blessed him. And God (Elohim) said unto him, Thy
name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel
shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. And God said unto him,
I am God Almighty (El Shaddai) be fruitful and multiply; a nation and
a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy
loins.’
Finally, Jacob had a revelation of El Shaddai.
The Great and Mighty God of the universe said, in effect, ‘Until now you have done things your own way. You have lived a deceptive life and that is why you have always ended up in a mess. From this day, I am revealing to you a whole new dynamic way. From now on, I will be your provision. You do not need to lie, steal and trick people. I will be your means of success. I am not only Elohim, I am El Shaddai.’
When you introduce your children to El Shaddai it lasts from generation to generation.
Joseph also came to know God as El Shaddai. Jacob, his father, prophesied
over him in Genesis chapter 49:
24-26 ‘The arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the Mighty
God (Elohim) of Jacob… Even by the God of thy father, who shall help
thee; and by the Almighty (El Shaddai), who shall bless thee with blessings
of Heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessing of the
breast. And of the womb; the blessings of thy father have prevailed above
the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting
hill: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and the crown of the head of him
that was separate from his brethren.’
El Shaddai is the All Sufficient One, the One Whose desire is to prosper
you!
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph all experience great wealth, success and
abundance from their revelation of El Shaddai.
If you are sick, He is more than enough to make you well!
If you have financial needs, He is more than enough to meet them.
If you have experienced emotional pain in the past, He is more than
enough to heal all of your hurts.

From Your Word I now understand how much You Love me and want to pour out upon me Your blessing and abundance. By faith, I acknowledge that You are the Source of all that I need. I want to open up my life to Your miracles. Lord, I surrender my life to You. You are El Shaddai.
You are the One who supplies all of my needs in abundance. Today, I take my eyes off my problems and focus on You as the answer to all of my needs.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
