Pursuing Holiness- Part 67

Saturday, July 13th, 2024

As we walk in Holiness, we should expect The Holy Spirit to insert Himself as a direct Sign from Heaven of the Truth we are speaking!

The Holy Spirit had no problem in interrupting Peter as he was sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ to Cornelius and his household.

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard The Word.

Notice the word “all” is used just as it was used in Acts chapter 2. The Holy Spirit’s gift is available to ALL who will hear The Word.

45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

46 For they heard them speak with Tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered,

47 Peter said, “How could anyone object to these people being baptized? For they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the Name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

What a great confirmation of the importance of the Baptism of The Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in Tongues.  Many people today believe that there is difficulty in receiving the Baptism.  Some believe that it was only for the early church.  Some even deny its existence.

What I have observed over that last 52 years is that unbelief is a primary hindrance to receiving the Baptism of The Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in Tongues.

Luke had already recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2:

1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing mighty Wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

3 Then there appeared to them divided Tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts chapters 10 & 11 may be two of the most important chapters in the New Testament!

The Disciples received the Baptism of The Holy Spirit first and later, Cornelius and his household experienced the same Baptism… prior to being water baptized.

So, Jews and Gentiles alike are offered this Blessing from Above.

When FATHER wants to remove any question, HE will repeat the importance of what HE is revealing.

Luke again recounts the essence of chapter 10 when he recorded by The Holy Spirit in chapter 11:

1 Now the apostles and brethren who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the Word of God.

2 And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him (challenged him),

3 saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

It was necessary for Peter to recount the events found in chapter 10.

4 But Peter explained it to them in order from the beginning, saying:

5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying; and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came to me.

6 When I observed it intently and considered, I saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.

7 And I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter; kill and eat.’

8 But I said, ‘Not so, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has at any time entered my mouth.’

9 But the Voice answered me again from Heaven, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’

Peter challenged FATHER because of his previous mindset.  FATHER gave Peter a triple witness.  This translates to an emphatic command!

10 Now this was done three times, and all were drawn up again into Heaven.

11 At that very moment, three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent to me from Caesarea.

12 Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house.

Peter was able to hear The Holy Spirit and did not doubt His instructions.  This is critical to our walk as well.

13 And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter,

14 who will tell you Words by which you and all your household will be saved.’

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.

16 Then I remembered the Word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

The Holy Spirit will bring His Word to remembrance as we walk in Holiness.

17 If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?”

Do any of us dare contend or challenge The Word of GOD?

18 When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to Life.”

The apostles and brethren who were in Judea listened to Peter testify of the work of The Holy Spirit concerning the Gentiles who had also received the Word of God.  This confirmed to them that the Gentiles were included in Jesus’ command to go throughout the world and preach the Good News to ALL MANKIND!  These two chapters set the stage for a true worldwide ministry for all believers.

As we walk in Holiness, let us not be surprised when The Holy Spirit moves unexpectedly in our midst.

As we walk in Holiness, we must not impede The Holy Spirit from moving in any aspect of our walk!

I find it interesting how many churches do not emphasize the ministry of The Holy Spirit.  Both Peter and Paul promoted the ministry of The Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries without exception.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

15 “Loving Me empowers you to obey My commands.

16-17 And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Savior, the Holy Spirit of Truth, Who will be to you a friend just like me—and He will never leave you. The world won’t receive Him because they can’t see Him or know Him. But you know Him intimately because He remains with you and will live inside you.

Jesus ministered on earth for 3 ½ years and then commissioned you and me to carry the Gospel throughout the earth for the next 2,000 years, but He did not stop there.  He knew that in order for us to walk in power and authority, we would need Spiritual guidance.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Jesus knew that the mind would lose Spiritual details over time, and He accounted for that as He promised The Holy Spirit Who would teach us all things and cause us to remember The Words Jesus spoke.  The ministry of The Holy Spirit here on earth is equally important to that of FATHER to the children of Israel, as well as the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ.  Why would we undervalue and limit His ministry when Jesus Himself emphasized His importance?

The ministry of The Holy Spirit should be without limitation or restriction!  It is our choice of what level His Ministry is in our walk.

And Jesus reiterated in John chapter 15:

26 “And I will send you the Divine Encourager from the very Presence of My Father. He will come to you, the Spirit of Truth, emanating from the Father, and He will speak to you about Me.

27 And you will tell everyone the Truth about Me, for you have walked with Me from the start.”

And for the third time, Jesus speaks of the necessity for sending The Holy Spirit in John chapter 16:

5 But now that I’m about to leave you and go back to join the One Who sent Me, you need to be told. Yet, not one of you are asking Me where I’m going.

6 Instead your hearts are filled with sadness because I’ve told you these things.

7 But here’s the Truth: It’s to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away The Holy Spirit (The Divine Encourager) will not be released to you. But after I depart, I will send Him to you.

8 And when He comes, He will expose sin and prove that the world is wrong about God’s righteousness and His judgments.

9 “ ‘Sin,’ because they refuse to believe in Who I am.

10 “God’s ‘righteousness,’ because I’m going back to join the Father and you’ll see Me no longer.

11 “And ‘judgment’ because the ruler of this dark world has already received his sentence.

Jesus mentioned specific areas included in the ministry of The Holy Spirit:

He will speak only Truth

He will glorify Jesus

He will convict the world of sin

He will convict the world to what GOD’S righteousness is

He will speak forth the Truth of GOD’S judgment

He will empower us to minister the above areas.  There is no reason for us to restrain the ministry of The Holy Spirit in our walk.  We ought to embrace every facet of The Holy Spirit in our own lives so that we can walk in the fullness of His power and authority toward others.

Our walk in Holiness will be impaired unless we fully embrace the ministry of The Holy Spirit!

As we walk in Holiness, we will testify of the Power of GOD unto salvation through the Good News of Jesus Christ and Him alone!

We are all called on preach the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our own testimony is helpful, but it will not save anyone.  Only the Gospel of Christ will bring forth salvation to sinners.  This is what His Life and ministry is all about, reconciling mankind to GOD.

Peter understood this proclamation as he ministered to Cornelius and his household.

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:

33 So I (Cornelius) immediately sent my men to bring you here—and you were kind enough to come. And now, here we are, all of us in God’s Presence, anxious to hear the message that God has put into your heart to share with us.”

FATHER has a message for every lost person you and I encounter thus we need to be prepared to share the Message of The Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The focus should be on Christ alone, not us.

34 Peter said, “Now I know for certain that God doesn’t show favoritism with people but treats everyone on the same basis.

35 It makes no difference what race of people one belongs to. If they show deep Reverence for God, and are committed to doing what’s right, they are acceptable before Him.

36 God sent His Word to the Jewish people first, announcing the wonderful news of hope and peace through Jesus, the Anointed One, the Lord of all.

37 You are well aware of all that began in Galilee and spread throughout the land of Israel immediately after John preached his message of baptism.

38 “Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and Divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed Him.

39 We apostles were eyewitnesses to all the miracles that He performed throughout the land of Israel. Finally, in Jerusalem, He was crucified on a cross,

40 but God raised Him from the dead three days later, allowing Him to be seen openly.

41 He didn’t appear to everyone, but he appeared to us, His chosen witnesses. He actually ate and drank with us after He rose from the dead!

42 “Jesus ordered us to preach and warn the people that God had appointed him to be the judge of the living and the dead.

43 And not only us, but all of the prophets agree in their writings that everyone who believes in Him receives complete forgiveness of sins through the power of His Name.

44 Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to The Message.

Peter did not preach a lengthy treatise on the history of Israel.  Neither did he exalt himself by detailing the miracles he had already performed in Jesus’ Name.  He simply presented the Gospel of Christ and The Holy Spirit confirmed the Good News to Cornelius and his household.

It is good to give our testimonies, but don’t confuse our testimony with evangelism.  Our own testimonies are pre-evangelism. My life is not the Gospel, His Life is the Gospel and has the power unto salvation.

If you don’t include the cross, it is not evangelism.  Jesus was raised on the third day and was showed Himself openly to over 500 witnesses.  There is no one else who qualified in this manner to bring forth salvation to the world.  If the affirmation of the resurrection of Christ is absent from your testimony, it is not the True Gospel of Christ.

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in his Epistle, 2nd Peter chapter 1:

16 We were not retelling some masterfully crafted legend when we informed you of the power and appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, for we saw His magnificence and splendor unveiled before our very eyes.

17 Yes, Father God lavished upon Him radiant glory and honor when His Distinct Voice spoke out of the realm of majestic glory, endorsing Him with these Words: This is my cherished Son, marked by My Love. All My delight is found in Him!

18 And we ourselves heard that Voice resound from the Heavens while we were with Him on the Holy mountain.

19 And so we have been given the prophetic Word—the written message of the prophets, made more reliable and fully validated by the confirming Voice of God on the Mount of Transfiguration. And you will continue to do well if you stay focused on it. For this prophetic message is like a piercing light shining in a gloomy place until the dawning of a new day, when the Morning Star rises in your hearts.

20 You must understand this at the outset: Interpretation of Scriptural prophecy requires the Holy Spirit, for it does not originate from someone’s own imagination.

21 No true prophecy comes from human initiative but is inspired by the moving of the Holy Spirit upon those who spoke the message that came from God.

Peter, James, and John were all witnesses to the validation coming from GOD’S Voice.  Because I am a believer in Christ, I too have heard GOD’S Voice on various occasions.  The Holy Spirit has validated the Message by manifesting the anointing.  This is why a sinner cannot convince me that the power of the Gospel of Christ isn’t real… it is too late!  Our lives should testify of the Good News of Jesus Christ where people will want to know what causes us such great joy.

As we walk in Holiness, we will be sought out by those who desire a greater anointing by GOD!

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 10:

1 At that time there was a Roman military officer, Cornelius, who was in charge of one hundred men stationed in Caesarea. He was the captain of the Italian regiment, 2 a devout man of extraordinary character who worshiped God and prayed regularly, together with all his family. He also had a heart for the poor and gave generously to help them.

3 One afternoon about three o’clock, he had an open vision and saw the angel of God appear right in front of him, calling out his name, “Cornelius!”

4 Startled, he was overcome with fear by the sight of the angel. He asked, “What do you want, Lord?” The angel said, “All of your prayers and your generosity to the poor have ascended before God as an Eternal offering.

Cornelius had consistent actions with his prayers to FATHER.  His generosity to the poor was noted and received by FATHER as an acceptable offering.

5 Now, send some men to Joppa at once. Have them find a man named Simon the Rock (Peter),

6 who is staying as a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”

7 After the angel left, Cornelius called for two of his servants and a trusted, Godly soldier who was his personal attaché.

8 He explained to them everything that had just happened and sent them off to Joppa.

9 The next day around noon, as Cornelius’ men were approaching Joppa, Peter went up to the flat roof of the house to pray.

Both Peter and Cornelius were given to prayer at different times of the day.

10 He was hungry and wanted to eat, but while lunch was being prepared he fell into a trance and entered into another realm.

11 As the Heavenly realm opened up, he saw something resembling a large linen tablecloth that descended from Above, being let down to the earth by its four corners.

12 As it floated down he saw that it held many kinds of four-footed animals, reptiles, and wild birds.

13 A Voice said to him, “Peter, go and prepare them to be eaten.”

14 Peter replied, “There’s no way I could do that, Lord, for I’ve never eaten anything forbidden or impure according to our Jewish laws.”

15 The Voice spoke again. “Nothing is unclean if God declares it to be clean.” [16] The vision was repeated three times. Then suddenly the linen sheet was snatched back up into Heaven.

17 Peter was so stunned by the vision that he couldn’t stop wondering about what all it meant. Meanwhile, Cornelius’ men had learned where Peter was staying and at that same moment were standing outside the gate.

18 They called out to those in the house, “Is this where Simon, the Rock, is staying?”

19-20 As Peter was in deep thought, trying to interpret the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Go downstairs now, for three men are looking for you. Don’t hesitate to go with them, because I have sent them.”

21 Peter went downstairs to the men and said, “I believe I’m the one you’re looking for. What brings you here?”

22 They answered, “We serve Cornelius, a Roman military captain, who sent us to find you. He is a devout man of the highest integrity who worships God and is respected throughout the Jewish community. He was Divinely instructed through the appearance of an angel to summon you to his home and to listen to the message that you would bring him.”

You and I don’t need to make things happen in the Spiritual realm, we need to simply respond to what The Holy Spirit is leading us to say and do.  FATHER will orchestrate our walks to minister to those who are ready to hear us speak The Word of THE LORD.

Peter testified of what he heard, saw, and experienced:

38  “Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and Divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God had anointed Him.

39 We apostles were eyewitnesses to all the miracles that He performed throughout the land of Israel. Finally, in Jerusalem, He was crucified on a cross, 40 but God raised Him from the dead three days later, allowing Him to be seen openly.

The Holy Spirit then confirmed The Word spoken by Peter:

44 While Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit cascaded over all those listening to his message.

45 The Jewish brothers who had accompanied Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on people who weren’t Jews,

46 for they heard them speaking in Supernaturally given languages and passionately praising God.

47 Peter said, “How could anyone object to these people being baptized? For they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”

48 So he instructed them to be baptized in the power of the Name of Jesus, the Anointed One. After their baptism, they asked Peter to stay with them for a few more days.

The Holy Spirit will confirm The Word we speak as we walk in Holiness and, we should not be surprised!

Pursuing Holiness- Part 60

Saturday, July 6th, 2024

As we walk in Holiness, we will totally rely on The Holy Spirit to see us through all tests, trials, and tribulations we encounter!

The world has entered a time like never before.  Many have been blinded by the nefarious actors who have an insatiable thirst for control through power and finance.  They have fully submitted to the adversary and are simply carrying out his intent to subvert the world.

The Beloved Disciple wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st John chapter 4:

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He Who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.

6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error.

We can be certain that we belong to God and have conquered them, for the One Who is living in us is far greater than the one who is in the world!

Pay close attention to these verses where Jesus warned us of this time when He spoke in Matthew chapter 24:

4 Jesus answered, “At that time deception will run rampant. So beware that you are not fooled!

5 For many will appear on the scene claiming My authority or saying about themselves, ‘I am the Anointed One,’ and they will lead many astray.

6 “You will hear of wars and revolutions on every side, with more rumors of wars to come. Don’t panic or give in to your fears, for the breaking apart of the world’s systems is destined to happen. But it won’t yet be the end; it will still be unfolding.

7 “Nations will go to war against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms. And there will be terrible earthquakes, horrible epidemics, and famines in place after place.

It has been confirmed that the Covid pandemic was spread as a bioweapon against us to decrease the population as well as control those who survived by promoting fear and compliance.

8 This is how the birth pains of the new age will begin!”

9 “You can expect to be persecuted, even killed; for you will be hated by all the nations because of your Love for Me.

During the pandemic, church services were deemed nonessential whereas bars were allowed to stay open.  What is wrong with this picture?

10 Then many will stop following Me and fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another.

Expect a falling away of those who once followed Christ… sadly.

11 And many lying prophets will arise, deceiving multitudes and leading them away from the path of Truth.

How many “prophets” have predicted events (such as the rapture, the end of the world) that did not take place?  As we walk in Holiness, we will simply think “Who cares?” because we realize that only FATHER knows the day and the hour.  We simply carry out HIS Instructions on a daily basis without thinking about what tomorrow will bring.  We fully trust HIS Plan.

12 There will be such an increase of the sin of lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold.

13 But hold your hope firmly to the end and you will experience Life and deliverance.

14 “Yet through it all, the Good News of Heaven’s Kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after that the end of this age will arrive.”

Be assured that “through it all”, FATHER’S Divine Intent will overcome all!  No weapon formed against us will prevail as we walk in Holiness.

Pursuing Holiness- Part 59

Friday, July 5th, 2024

As we walk in Holiness, we will no longer blame others for our own actions, failures, and words!

A mature Son or Daughter of GOD will not deflect accountability or responsibility for his or her own actions.  Each of us must own up to our failures, repent, and move on.  We will be tested in all areas of weakness which is meant to be dealt with so that we can truly mature.

Every time I’ve sinned, it was my fault.  Not my dad’s, not my pastor, not my wife, not my kids, not anyone who got me angry, not anyone who deceived me, … It was always my fault, and I always could have escaped it.  There was always a way out and I didn’t take it.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 10:

1 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,

2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

3 all ate the same spiritual food,

4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

The children of Israel saw miracles of deliverance yet most still sinned against THE LORD.  We can look back and ask, “What were they thinking?” but we need to look back at our own lives and ask the same question.

7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”

Are there any idols in your life?  Remove them, no longer exalt them, quit talking about them.

8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;

Are you drawn to sexual immorality?  Turn away from it and don’t allow yourself to be placed in compromising situations.

9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents;

Don’t provoke the Lord, as some of them did by putting Him to outrageous tests that resulted in their death from snakebites day after day.

10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

If you are a habitual complainer, quit!  Start praying and seeking FATHER WHO will provide all your needs according to HIS riches in Glory.

11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

No one can claim ignorance when it comes to sinful actions.  We can’t blame society for our failures.

12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

If you think you are above being tested, think again, you are walking in pride.

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. Each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.

We will accept full responsibility and accountability for our own actions as we come into full maturity walking in Holiness!

Pursuing Holiness- Part 58

As we walk in Holiness, we will choose the narrow gate which leads to Eternal Life, and it won’t be popular with the world!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 2:

1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins

2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-

3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

We were once dead as we walked according to the course of the world.  It was a life of emptiness.  Sin is not debatable, and you have no opinion.  Sin is determined by GOD not by a majority of men, courts, or legislation.  Churches who attempt to submit to the latest societal acceptance are actually condoning sin by following the course of this world.  Instead, churches should be teaching what it means to walk in the Fear of GOD!

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 7:

13 Enter through the narrow gate because the wide gate and broad path is the way that leads to destruction—nearly everyone chooses that crowded road!

14 The narrow gate and the difficult way leads to Eternal life—so few even find it!

His Words don’t bode well for the majority of people.  This Truth require serious introspection!  Do those who are living in sin really think that they will make the cut?  Selah!

It is easy to feel confident when you are in the majority.  However, the majority will choose the path that leads to destruction.  They will focus on the temporary satisfaction that the world offers and give up eternal life for it.  Unity in the wrong mindset leads to destruction.  It is easy to fall into sin rather than living a life of Holiness.

When you walk according to the course of this world, you are actually following the prince of the power of the air… the devil in all his subtlety!  The devil’s goal is to get as many people as possible to take the wide road which leads to death.  The wide road will be brightly lit with man’s artificial lighting to appeal to your flesh and emotions.  Consider the bright lights of Las Vegas or New York City.  Both cities cover up their nefarious activities of corruption.  What is the purpose of light shows and pyrotechnics during a gathering of the masses?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 6:

20 For when you were bound as servants to sin, you lived your lives free from any obligation to righteousness.

21 So tell me, what benefit ensued from doing those things that you’re now ashamed of? It left you with nothing but a legacy of shame and death.

22 But now, as God’s Loving servants, you live in joyous freedom from the power of sin. So consider the benefits you now enjoy—you are brought deeper into the experience of True Holiness that ends with Eternal Life!

23 For sin’s meager wages is death, but God’s lavish gift is Life Eternal, found in your union with our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.

People naturally want to be accepted by others.  However, when Holiness confronts those who choose to live according to the world, it will collide with the world and prove to be unpopular.  Jesus experienced it when He confronted those embracing the course of the world, so expect the same reaction.  Don’t allow yourself to be compromised in pursuit of acceptance and popularity from the world.

Pursuing Holiness- Part 57

As we walk in Holiness, Holiness will be evidenced by faith resulting in good fruit!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Titus chapter 1:

15 It’s true that all is pure to those who have pure hearts, but to the corrupt unbelievers nothing is pure. Their minds and consciences are defiled.

16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are disgusting, disobedient, and disqualified from doing anything good.

Our actions reveal what is in our hearts.  Our actions are greater testimonies than simply our words, both should be consistent with Holiness.

And in chapter 2:

Above all, set yourself apart as a model of a life nobly lived. With dignity, demonstrate integrity in all that you teach.

8 Bring a clear, wholesome message that cannot be condemned, and then your critics will be embarrassed, with nothing bad to say about us.

Our examples are actually a form of teaching others who observe our life.  Children easily pick up on our actions and often imitate them.  Adults are more subtle when they see a pure and wholesome example of Holiness and desire to conform to that image if they are seeking to improve their life.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in James chapter 2:

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,

16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?

17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble!

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Those who walk in Holiness are givers, not takers!  When we are one with Christ and Christ in us, we will live a Holy life and it is undeniable proof that we Love the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to serve Him in every aspect of our life.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

15 “If you Love Me, keep My commandments.”

23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone Loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will Love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

24 He who does not Love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s Who sent Me.”

Those who truly Love THE LORD, will joyfully keep all that He commands us to do in every area of our life.  This is Holiness on display!

As we walk in Holiness, Holiness will be evident by our conversation and actions!

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Peter chapter 1:

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;

15 but as He Who called you is Holy, you also be Holy in all your conduct,

16 because it is written, “Be Holy, for I am Holy.”

17 And if you call on the Father, Who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,

19 but with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you

21 Who through Him believe in God, Who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the Truth through the Spirit in sincere Love of the brethren, Love one another fervently with a pure heart,

23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever

And in 2nd Peter chapter 3:

10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in Holy conduct and Godliness,

12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

As we mature in Holiness, we will move away from any action of words that were formerly acceptable.  Our interests will change and what we used to think of as priorities will no longer be of any importance.  We will become more attentive to those in need and less concerned about ourselves.

What used to stroke our ego will no longer be of importance.  When we do something that promotes the ego, The Holy Spirit will gladly point it out in some form of correction.  As we mature, there will be less correction required.  That is a sign of the maturing process.

Holiness is the one grand end and purpose for which Christ came into the world.

Paul referred to this Truth as he wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians 5:

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is Head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, Love your wives, just as Christ also Loved the church and gave Himself for her,

26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word,

27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be Holy and without blemish.

The glorious church will be known by the members’ conversations and actions for they will walk in Holiness, without fault or flaw!

As we walk in Holiness, we must not be fearful during troublesome times!

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Daniel chapter 9:

25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.

26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.

Daniel was given the Seventy-Weeks prophecy concerning the rebuilding of Jerusalem.  This is a type and shadow of the coming Kingdom of GOD on the earth.  FATHER warned us of the troublesome times to come but we are to be of good courage, and we need to keep the HIS endgame in mind.

FATHER expected there would be conflict with the adversary in restoring Jerusalem thus HE issued the warning to Daniel.

Jesus acknowledged the troublesome times when He spoke to the disciples in John chapter 16:

31 Jesus replied, “Now you finally believe in Me.

32 And the time has come when you will all be scattered, and each one of you will go your own way, leaving Me alone! Yet I am never alone, for the Father is always with Me.

33 And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in Me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in Me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”

As we mature in Holiness, we will walk in peace and not be moved by the trouble and sorrows all around us.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 12:

9 Let Love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly Love, in honor giving preference to one another;

11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

In other Words, live happily together in a spirit of harmony, and be as mindful of another’s worth as you are your own. Don’t live with a lofty mind-set, thinking you are too important to serve others, but be willing to do menial tasks and identify with those who are humble minded. Don’t be smug or even think for a moment that you know it all.

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

As I have stated, troublesome times are ahead.  Lies are being exposed in an accelerated fashion.  What we have been fed by “the media” for most of our lives will be found to be false narratives to accommodate the nefarious intent of those in power.  Be not discouraged, FATHER has taken all of this into account.  Those who walk in Holiness will access the power and authority of Heaven and will overcome the turbulent times ahead!
