As we walk in Holiness, we will no longer blame others for our own actions, failures, and words!
A mature Son or Daughter of GOD will not deflect accountability or responsibility for his or her own actions. Each of us must own up to our failures, repent, and move on. We will be tested in all areas of weakness which is meant to be dealt with so that we can truly mature.
Every time I’ve sinned, it was my fault. Not my dad’s, not my pastor, not my wife, not my kids, not anyone who got me angry, not anyone who deceived me, … It was always my fault, and I always could have escaped it. There was always a way out and I didn’t take it.
Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 10:
1 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,
2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
3 all ate the same spiritual food,
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
The children of Israel saw miracles of deliverance yet most still sinned against THE LORD. We can look back and ask, “What were they thinking?” but we need to look back at our own lives and ask the same question.
7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Are there any idols in your life? Remove them, no longer exalt them, quit talking about them.
8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell;
Are you drawn to sexual immorality? Turn away from it and don’t allow yourself to be placed in compromising situations.
9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents;
Don’t provoke the Lord, as some of them did by putting Him to outrageous tests that resulted in their death from snakebites day after day.
10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
If you are a habitual complainer, quit! Start praying and seeking FATHER WHO will provide all your needs according to HIS riches in Glory.
11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
No one can claim ignorance when it comes to sinful actions. We can’t blame society for our failures.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
If you think you are above being tested, think again, you are walking in pride.
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, Who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. Each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.
We will accept full responsibility and accountability for our own actions as we come into full maturity walking in Holiness!
