Why Are We Here: Part 2

Saturday, May 20th, 2023

What is God’s purpose in calling us?

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Psalm 8:

5  Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence.

6 You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of Your image-bearers.  TPT

I strongly recommend you meditate on verse 6.  It holds the key to the overall calling specifically to the overcomers  We are here to be trained as companions of Christ to rule and reign with Him in the future and to be given the authority and power to overcome the enemy in the present.

The word salvation means “to liberate, to set free or to loose.” It literally means to deliver from bonds (chains or shackles) by a payment or a ransom. (A “ransom” is something that is given in exchange for a life.) Matthew 20:28 tells us that Christ paid that ransom for us.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 20:

24  The other ten disciples were listening to all of this, and a jealous anger arose among them against the two brothers.

25 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, called them to his side and said, “Kings and those with great authority in this world rule oppressively over their subjects, like tyrants.

26 But this is not your calling. You will lead by a completely different model. The greatest one among you will live as the one who is called to serve others,

27 because the greatest honor and authority is reserved for the one with the heart of a servant.

28 For even the Son of Man did not come expecting to be served but to serve and give His Life in exchange for the salvation of many.

By accepting what Christ has done for us on the Cross, five things occur:

1) we are set free from our bonds of sin and reconciled to Him,

2) we are delivered from the penalty of death,

3) we are guaranteed an entrance to the Millennial Kingdom (and to Heaven),

4) we are given the gift of a brand-new spirit (which is like a “down payment,” a pledge or a seal that assures us His promises are true) (Ephesians 1:13–14), and finally,

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1:

13  And because of Him, when you who are not Jews heard the revelation of Truth, you believed in the wonderful news of salvation. Now we have been stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.

14 He is given to us like an engagement ring, as the first installment of what’s coming! He is our hope-promise of a future inheritance which seals us until we have all of redemption’s promises and experience complete freedom—all for the Supreme Glory and Honor of God!

5) we are given His eternal Life (His Love, Wisdom and power) in our hearts

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in:

Colossians 1:27

Living within you is the Christ Who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a Heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for His people, and God wants everyone to know it!

And in Romans 5:5

And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless Love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who lives in us!

When we first come to Christ and are born again, we are declared righteous and holy just like Romans 10:9 tells us. This is called justification, which is a judicial term meaning “to be declared not guilty before God.” The word justification (Strong’s #1344, dikaioo) means “to be acquitted, to render just, innocent or righteous” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Christ has already paid the penalty for us and there is nothing more we can do to add to it (Romans 3:24). It’s a free gift! (Titus 3:5). The price has already been paid. God uses the instrument of grace to accomplish this justification.

Being justified also means that we are guaranteed an entrance to the Kingdom of Heaven on the basis of what Christ has already done. He is the righteous and Holy One, and He has imputed that righteousness  and that Holiness to us. The down payment, or the pledge or seal of this future redemption is the gift of His Spirit indwelling our own spirit (Ephesians 1:13). In other words, at our new birth, our spirit is saved.

This is the first step of our calling.

Why Are We Here?

Why are we here?

In other words, what is God’s purpose in calling us?

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 1:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth… And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

This passage tells us that man was originally called into existence to reign over the whole earth with the King of kings.

Man was created in the image of God so that one day he could become a “servant-king” and rule the world alongside the true king, the King of kings.  There was just one problem—Lucifer. Ezekiel 28 explains:

13  You lived in Eden, in the very garden of God. Every precious jewel formed your mantle. You were dressed in splendor with diamonds, carnelian, topaz, chrysolite, beryl, onyx, sapphire, turquoise, and emeralds; each gem engraved in settings of gold. I, Yahweh, made them for you on the day I created you.

14 I placed you with an anointed guardian cherub. You were on the Holy mountain of God where you walked among the fiery stones.

15 Your ways were blameless from the day I created you, until wickedness first appeared in you.

16 Your vast wealth filled you with violence and sin. So, I have cast you down in disgrace from the mountain of God. I banished you, O guardian cherub, from among the stones of fire.

17 Your heart became swollen with pride because of your beauty; your thirst for glory corrupted your wisdom. So, I hurled you down to the earth, and displayed you as a warning to other kings.

18 So great was your sin—the injustice of your buying and selling. You defiled your sanctuaries. So, I set a fire inside of you, and it consumed you entirely! I reduced you to ashes on the ground before the eyes of all who saw you.

19 All who once knew you are stunned at your fate. You have come to a terrible, dreadful end, and will be no more!

We must guard ourselves against walking in pride, one notable attribute of the adversary.  He attempted to exalt himself above FATHER as though he was fully independent.  He questioned FATHER’S specific Word in the garden which led to the fall of man.

Further, he has promoted injustice in the financial/economic system of the world.  This has served to enslave men by keeping them in a system designed to promote scarcity.  It is all about deception and enslavement.  You and I are meant to operate outside his system and rely on FATHER’S plan of blessing and seedtime and harvest of righteous seed.

Because of Adam’s sin, all mankind has inherited those same three consequences: 1) We are all born naturally separated from God;

2) God’s future plans for us to rule and reign alongside of Him have been forfeited; and

3) We have the same mortal enemy as Adam—satan.

These consequences have been passed down through every generation. The Epistle of Romans tells us that every person since Adam is born with a sin nature, not a spiritual nature, and thus has automatically “fallen short of the glory of God”

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 3:

21  But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

In other words, without Christ’s intervention, all of us are born guilty of sin, the penalty of which is death (eternal separation from God). Consequently, not only was man’s fellowship with God broken because of Adam’s sin, we also have forfeited our future rulership in the coming Kingdom.

Each of us has a unique, assigned purpose and it could only be achieved through Christ’s intervention.  Once that occurs, we can identify and walk in our calling.  If we seek to walk in Holiness, that calling will be fulfilled.

Without Christ, you cannot answer the first question: Why am I here?

There is more!

The Present and Future: Part 1

Deceit at the highest levels of governments is being revealed.

Deceit is the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth.  Deception or falsehood is an act or statement that misleads, hides the truth, or promotes a belief, concept, or idea that is not true. It is often done for personal gain or advantage. Deception can involve dissimulation, propaganda and sleight of hand as well as distraction, camouflage, or concealment.  Does this sound familiar?  Are the various media outlets promoting deception?  Are the pharma companies doing the same?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2:

3  Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed],

The Book of Revelation is:

The Consummation of all things

The only place in Scripture where a special blessing is promised.

404 verses containing over 800 allusions from the Old Testament!

The Beloved disciple records what Jesus told him to write in Revelation beginning in chapter 1:

3 Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who reads and those who hear the Words of the prophecy, and who keep the things which are written in it [heeding them and taking them to heart]; for the time [of fulfillment] is near.  AMP

3   Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the Words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.  KJV

3   A joyous blessing rests upon the one who reads this message and upon those who hear and embrace the Words of this prophecy, for the appointed time is in your hands.  TPT

It is important to note that we were placed on this earth in specific countries and at this time for FATHER’S Divine Intent to be accomplished

The following videos deal with some aspects of end-time prophecy:

Pride In Me?

Wednesday, May 17th, 2023

Is there pride to be found in me?

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in his Epistle, chapter 4:

And if you ask, you won’t receive it for you’re asking with corrupt motives, seeking only to fulfill your own selfish desires.

4 You have become spiritual adulterers who are having an affair, an unholy relationship with the world. Don’t you know that flirting with the world’s values places you at odds with God? Whoever chooses to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy!

5 Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover Who intensely desires to have more and more of us”?

Anyone who seeks to exalt himself in comparison to others moves toward pride and it is very insidious by nature.  Its roots can and will run deep which makes it more difficult to ultimately remove.  I can personally attest to that!  When we become performance-oriented, pride will dictate our actions rather than being led by The Holy Spirit.  Sports and scholastic achievements promote pride at an early age.  Adults become rabid fans and can become violent.  Simply go to a child’s soccer game and observe!

6 But He continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says,

God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.

7 So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will flee in agony.

8 Move your heart closer and closer to God, and He will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

9 Feel the pain of your sin, be sorrowful and weep! Let your joking around be turned into mourning and your joy into deep humiliation.

10 Be willing to be made low before the Lord and he will exalt you!

Wisdom recorded in Ecclesiastes 4:

4  I have seen that every [effort in] labor and every skill in work comes from man’s rivalry with his neighbor. This too is vanity (futility, false pride) and chasing after the wind.

“Competitive sports” creates pride which ultimately leads to idol worship.  The adversary has infiltrated the entertainment media to the point where you can hardly go to a restaurant where there are no TV’s streaming multiple sports.  That environment along with cell phones reduces fellowship with the person across from you.  That is the ploy!

It is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Job chapter 33:

14   For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it.

15 He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.

16 He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings.

17 He makes them turn from doing wrong; He keeps them from pride.

18 He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death.

19 “Or God disciplines people with pain on their sickbeds, with ceaseless aching in their bones.

20 They lose their appetite for even the most delicious food.

21 Their flesh wastes away, and their bones stick out.

22 They are at death’s door; the angels of death wait for them.

23 “But if an angel from Heaven appears- a special messenger to intercede for a person and declare that he is upright-

24 he will be gracious and say, ‘Rescue him from the grave, for I have found a ransom for his life.’

25 Then his body will become as healthy as a child’s, firm and youthful again.

26 When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing.

27 He will declare to his friends, ‘I sinned and twisted the truth, but it was not worth it.

28 God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.’

29 “Yes, God does these things again and again for people.

30 He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.

The question each of us must answer:  “Am I focusing on the short-term, worldly things or the long-term Eternal life and Light?”

FATHER instructed me to cleanse my home of all past achievements for they only served to promote soulish pride.  I did not delay because I do not want there to be any resistance to being led by THE SPIRIT.

HIS Absolutes

Tuesday, May 16th, 2023

We are to seek the absolutes!

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Psalm 147:

5  How great is Our God! There’s absolutely nothing His Power cannot accomplish, and He has infinite understanding of everything.

In other Words:

How great is our Lord! His Power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!

6 Yahweh supports and strengthens the humble, but the ungodly will be brought down to the dust.

As we fully humble ourselves and seek all that FATHER has placed on the inside of us, we will walk in HIS absolute unlimited power and authority.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 5:

19  So Jesus explained, “I tell you the Truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

20 For the Father Loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing. In fact, the Father will show Him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished.

21 For just as the Father gives life to those He raises from the dead, so the Son gives life to anyone He wants.

22 In addition, the Father judges no one. Instead, He has given the Son absolute authority to judge,

23 so that everyone will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son is certainly not honoring the Father who sent Him.

Jesus’ authority is absolute thus He is fully equipped to judge all of mankind.

How do we access the absolutes?  We do it by humbling ourselves!

Jesus wrote seven Epistles to the churches in the Book of Revelation, chapters 2 and 3.  These churches represent the seven types of churches in the “Church Age”.  He was judging the fruitfulness of each church and judging their fruit, or lack thereof.  The last being the church in Laodicea, has a notable significance:  Jesus is outside the church, knocking on the door.  He is no longer in the church, He is now on the outside!  Where is The Holy Spirit in most churches today?  What happened to the altars for people to come forward and repent?  What has happened to the demand for Holiness?

Next, the Beloved disciple recorded by The Holy Spirit in Revelation 4:

1  Then suddenly, after I wrote down these messages, I saw a portal open into the Heavenly realm, and the same trumpet-voice I heard speaking with me at the beginning said, “Ascend into this realm! I want to reveal to you what must happen after this.”

2 Instantly I was taken into the spirit realm, and behold—I saw a Heavenly Throne being set in place and someone seated upon it.

3 His Appearance was sparkling like crystal and glowing like a carnelian gemstone. Surrounding the Throne was a circle of green light, like an emerald rainbow.

4 Encircling the Great Throne were twenty-four thrones with elders in glistening white garments seated upon them, each wearing a golden crown of victory.

5 And pulsing from the Throne were blinding flashes of lightning, crashes of thunder, and voices. And burning before the throne were seven blazing torches, which represent the seven Spirits of God.

6 And in front of the Throne there was pavement like a crystal sea of glass. Around the throne and on each side stood four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind.

7 The first living creature resembled a lion, the second an ox, the third had a human face, and the fourth was like an eagle in flight.

8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings, full of eyes all around and under their wings. They worshiped without ceasing, day and night, singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty! The Was, the Is, and the Coming!”

9 And whenever the living creatures gave glory, honor, and thanks to the One Who is enthroned and who lives forever and ever,

10 the twenty-four elders fell facedown before the One seated on the Throne and they worshiped the One who lives forever and ever. And they surrendered their crowns before the Throne, singing:

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for You created all things, and for Your pleasure they were created and exist.”

The twenty-four elders who represent the true church, humbled themselves by throwing down their crowns (achievements) in acknowledgment of FATHER’S absolute power and authority!

A Word

Monday, May 15th, 2023

I am smiling at you.

Beloved, when the whole world is busy and chaotic, close your eyes and find My Face. I’m smiling at you. When things feel out of control, and you don’t handle things correctly, I’m still smiling at you. Can you feel My Heart for you? You move Me in a way no one else does. You are the one I Love.

Even when you’re weak and feel disconnected from My Presence, I’m still here, still smiling at you. I still see you through the Eyes of Love. Even in your mess, I still Love you. I know you and believe in you, because I know who you’re destined to be. You are beautiful in the very depths of your being. Sometimes you get so caught up in everything that’s happening around you—the things that fight to be noticed. But I want you to stop and see My Smile. And then I want you to smile with Me. I want you to be so fixated on My joy for what is to come that nothing can shake you.

Listen Carefully

Sunday, May 14th, 2023

Jesus is warning us to carefully listen to THE HOLY SPIRIT!

We are all on a learning path that requires us to change our mindset.

Jesus spoke in Revelation 3:

19   All those I dearly Love I unmask and train. So repent and be eager to pursue what is right.

20 Behold, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If your heart is open to hear My Voice and you open the door within, I will come in to you and feast with you, and you will feast with Me.

21 And to the one who conquers I will give the privilege of sitting with Me on My Throne, just as I conquered and sat down with My Father on His Throne.

22 The one whose heart is open let him listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying now to the churches.

What did Jesus mean by “unmasking” us?  He wants to expose any deception that prevents us from fully pursuing what is right.  This requires us to carefully listen to The Holy Spirit and quickly respond and is usually tied to repentance, that is, turning away from a path, event, or a belief.

We are to avoid deception!

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 21:

8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My Name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them.

We are not to exalt anyone but Our Lord Jesus Christ.  I am not a follower of such and such, neither should you.  Over the last five decades, I have seen my share of ministries get off the path and fall into the ditch.  We must be vigilant to protect ourselves from deception from any source.

Satan has a plan for your life and so does Our Heavenly Father.  Ultimately, you decide which plan you will follow.

Precision in the use of terms/words will keep us from being deceived.  FATHER said precisely what HE meant and so should we.  When we study The Word, we need to pursue HIS Divine Intent behind the passage.  This is why I use multiple versions when writing to you.

FATHER does not use synonyms.  A synonym is a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word in certain contexts.  A synonym is imprecise.  The Holy Spirit will correct me when I am writing and attempting to convey what He wants to be said.  A politician will make use of synonyms to deceive his audience.  As an example, a U.S. president attempted to use the word “is” to divert attention away from his sin.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 15:

33  Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”

34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

In other Words:

So stop fooling yourselves! Evil companions will corrupt good morals and character. Come back to your right senses and awaken to what is right. Repent from your sinful ways. For some have no knowledge of God’s wonderful Love.

The Word of GOD is:

True

Infallible

Trustworthy

GOD-breathed thus It is unique!

Secular-based (worldly) words should not be confused with The Word of GOD.  A perfect example is our use of the term “UFO”.  UFO’s are not aliens but are demons who traverse the spiritual into the physical.  They are disembodied spirits who originated before the flood.  They were genetically modified humans who were not allowed on the ark.  Only Noah and his family were “perfect” in their genetics.  The so-called prehistoric animals were genetically modified as well.  The world would try to convince us otherwise.

Do you really think that FATHER did not account for such phenomenon in HIS Word?  Man’s speculation is often a source of deception.  That is why I prefer to wait to hear what The Holy Spirit is saying versus developing a speculative opinion.

James wrote by The Holy Spirit in his Epistle, chapter 1:

16  Do not be deceived, my Beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

18 Of His Own Will He brought us forth by the infallible Word of Truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

19 So then, my Beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

Listen to The Holy Spirit and you won’t be deceived.

As in the Days of Noah

Saturday, May 13th, 2023

Jesus warned us, let no man deceive you!

Read the following Words of Jesus before you watch the video.  We are not to be ignorant of the deception that is currently prevalent in all aspects of society.

Jesus spoke in Matthew 24:

37  But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.

41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Jesus also spoke in Luke chapter 17:

26  And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:

27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back.

32 Remember Lot’s wife.

33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left.

35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”

37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?” So He said to them, “Wherever the (spiritually dead) body is, there the eagles will be gathered together (circling).”

Pride versus Humility

Friday, May 12th, 2023

Giving to the poor in secret promotes humility!

Jesus responds in Mark chapter 10:

17  As Jesus started on His way, a man came running up to Him. Kneeling down in front of Him, he cried out, “Good Teacher, what one thing am I required to do to gain Eternal life?”

18 Jesus responded, “Why do you call Me good? Only God is truly good.

19 You already know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give a false testimony, do not cheat, and honor your father and mother.’ ”

20 The man said to Jesus, “Teacher, I have carefully obeyed these laws since my youth.”

21 Jesus fixed His gaze upon the man, with tender Love, and said to him, “Yet there is still one thing in you lacking. Go, sell all that you have and give the money to the poor. Then all of your treasure will be in Heaven. After you’ve done this, come back and walk with Me.”

22 Completely shocked by Jesus’ answer, he turned and walked away very sad, for he was extremely rich.

23 Jesus looked at the faces of his disciples and said, “How hard it is for the wealthy to enter into God’s Kingdom realm.”

24 The disciples were startled when they heard this. But Jesus again said to them, “Children, it is next to impossible for those who trust in their riches to find their way into God’s Kingdom.

25 It is easier to stuff a rope through the eye of a needle than for a wealthy person to enter into God’s Kingdom.”

The rich man needed to be humbled so Jesus gave him the choice to show him what or who he really trusted in.  If we humble ourselves, we allow FATHER to bless us AND others at the same time.  We don’t hoard but rather we disburse as The Holy Spirit leads us.  Some people have a financial ministry and are willing to support others on a consistent basis.  These people understand the concept of “don’t eat your seed.”

Jesus also expressed this Truth in Luke chapter 6:

37   Jesus said, “Forsake the habit of criticizing and judging others, and you will not be criticized and judged in return. Don’t condemn others and you will not be condemned. Forgive over and over, and you will be forgiven over and over.

38 Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! The measurement of your generosity becomes the measurement of your return.”

Consider what the rich man gave up when he hoarded his wealth versus being generous.  FATHER has no problem in blessing us as we submit to HIM in all areas.  Humbling ourselves includes our finances.  FATHER expressed HIS position in Deuteronomy chapter 28:1-12 and hasn’t changed.

King David wrote by THE SPIRIT with a repentant heart in Psalm 51:

17  The fountain of your pleasure is found in the sacrifice of my shattered heart before You. You will not despise my tenderness as I bow down humbly at Your Feet.

Repentance from pride brings forth humility.  Our mindset is drastically changed as we serve others without fanfare, including the poor.

If you take matters into your own hands, you will feel the pain of not being humbled.  Yes, I speak from experience.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 12:

3  So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures.

4 After all, you have not yet reached the point of sweating blood in your opposition to sin.

5 And have you forgotten his encouraging Words spoken to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t underestimate the value of the discipline and training of the Lord God, or get depressed when He has to correct you.

6 For the Lord’s training of your life is the evidence of His faithful Love. And when He draws you to Himself, it proves you are His delightful child.”

7 Fully embrace God’s correction as part of your training, for He is doing what any loving father does for his children. For who has ever heard of a child who never had to be corrected?

8 We all should welcome God’s discipline as the validation of authentic Sonship. For if we have never once endured His correction it only proves we are strangers and not Sons.

No pain, no gain!
