Yield and Humble Yourself

Walking in FATHER’S resurrection power requires us to yield and humble ourselves in all areas.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Isaiah chapter 55:

Jesus lived His whole life in obedience to the principle of yielding to The Holy Spirit. Even though He was the Son of God, everything He did in His ministry was by the power of the Holy Spirit working through Him.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Corinthians chapter 13:

4 For though He (Jesus) was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

The key to understanding this passage is that “weakness” in this context does not mean feebleness or inability, but rather a total relinquishment to God, a total yielding and openness to His will. According to the Bible “weakness” means freedom from self, freedom from what others think, freedom from our circumstances—allowing a total reliance upon Christ. It means being cleansed of all known sin and self, so that He can be strong through us.  This is how He is glorified (Psalm 89:17).

Paul also wrote in Ephesians chapter 6:

10 Now my Beloved ones, I have saved these most important Truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you.

And in 2nd Corinthians chapter 12:

10   So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment—when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my Love for Christ—I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.

In Isaiah it is recorded by THE SPIRIT in Isaiah chapter 40:

29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

King David also wrote by THE SPIRIT in Psalm chapter 138:

1  I thank You, Lord, and with all the passion of my heart I worship You in the presence of angels! Heaven’s mighty ones will hear my voice as I sing my Loving praise to You.

2 I bow down before your Divine Presence and bring You my deepest worship as I experience Your tender Love and Your Living Truth. For your Word and the fame of Your Name have been magnified above all else!

3 At the very moment I called out to You, You answered me! You strengthened me deep within my soul and breathed fresh courage into me.

4 One day all the kings of the earth will rise to give You thanks when they hear the Living Words that I have heard You speak.

5 They too will sing of Your wonderful ways, for Your ineffable glory is great!

6 For though You are lofty and exalted, you stoop to embrace the lowly. Yet you keep your distance from those filled with pride.

Let us lay aside our own strength and ability and do only Our Heavenly Father’s will by the power of the Holy Spirit.  This is what Jesus did in His earthly ministry and He is our Perfect Example.

Paul wrote in Philippians chapter 2:

8And being found in appearance as a man, Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.

FATHER’S dunamis power, if allowed to accomplish its mission, will lead us first to repentance, then to surrender, and ultimately to being an overcomer bearing fruit. As a result of this total yieldedness to God, we will be able to handle situations we never thought possible, endure circumstances we never could have withstood in the natural, and fight the enemy in ways we never dreamed attainable.

FATHER is not looking for capable and self-sufficient believers; He is looking for broken, submissive, and humble believers. Christ is our Example. He was rejected, betrayed, and then killed. But His humiliation led to His exaltation. The more we allow FATHER to break and mold us, the more open and pliable we’ll become for His use.
