Love’s Reward

June 4th, 2022

FATHER is a Rewarder to those who diligently seek HIM.

What parent does not want to reward his or her child for doing the right thing?  We want to reward good behavior so that the child will differentiate right from wrong.  A reward provides an incentive to continue on that path which produces the reward.  It is called a benefit: something that produces good or helpful results or effects or that promotes well-being.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 11:

5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Walking in faith is key to us receiving a reward while walking on this earth.  Enoch realized it and fully enjoyed his time on earth before he was taken without tasting physical death.  Faith and reward go hand in hand.  As we exercise faith in the various areas, we are rewarded in those areas.

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 10:

40 “He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. 41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”

When you and I help kids in need, we receive a reward from FATHER.  This reward is relative to our individual needs AND desires.  Over the years, FATHER has not only met our needs but has blessed my wife and me with bringing forth the desires of our hearts.  Is this any different than what an earthly father would do for his children?  How much more does Our Heavenly Father want to express HIS Love for us!

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Corinthians chapter 9:

16   For you see, even though I proclaim the good news, I can’t take the credit for my labors, for I am compelled to fulfill my duty by completing this work. It would be agony to me if I did not constantly preach the gospel!

17   If it were my own idea to preach as a way to make a living, I would expect to be paid. Since it’s not my idea but God’s, who commissioned me, I am entrusted with the stewardship of the gospel whether or not I’m paid.

18  So then, where is my reward? It is found in continually depositing the good news into people’s hearts, without obligation, free of charge, and not insisting on my rights to be financially supported.

Since FATHER commissioned me to teach by writing these daily blogs, I seek no compensation from readers.  I write to you because I am compelled out of Agape Love to write and deposit the extremely Good News into those willing to hear.  I receive no compensation from Servias nor does anyone else.  Why?  It is to keep this ministry pure in its intent and not allow money to taint The Message.  This is just another expression of faith which FATHER rewards me and my family.  I am elated by words of encouragement where lives are being changed for the better.  As you and I give to the Kids in Need, the teachers and counselors are ministered to as well.  As vessels of distribution to the kids, they too are receiving a reward from Heaven.

Peace And Abundance

June 3rd, 2022

Jesus is the Healer, the Deliverer, the Conqueror, the Life-giver, the One Who cancels debts in whatever form they take.  What is the result?  Peace and abundance!

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2nd Peter chapter 1:

1This letter is from Simeon Peter, a Loving servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to those who have been given a faith as equally precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

2   May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3 Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his Divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing Him who has called us by name and invited us to come to Him through a glorious manifestation of His goodness.

4   As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the Divine Nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.

As we embrace the above Truths, we will come into full unity with FATHER and other mature Sons and Daughters.  We will also embrace the reality of walking in HIS Image which HE ordained before the foundation of the world.  We were made in HIS Image so shouldn’t we be imaging HIM?

5   So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith:

with goodness,

and to goodness add understanding,

6 and to understanding add the strength of self-control,

and to self-control add patient endurance,

and to patient endurance add godliness,

7 and to godliness add mercy toward your brothers and sisters,

and to mercy toward others add unending Love.

8 Since these virtues are already planted deep within, and you possess them in abundant supply, they will keep you from being inactive or fruitless in your pursuit of knowing Jesus Christ more intimately.

9 But if anyone lacks these things, he is blind, constantly closing his eyes to the mysteries of our faith, and forgetting his innocence—for his past sins have been washed away. 10 For this reason, beloved ones, be eager to confirm and validate that God has invited you to salvation and claimed you as his own. If you do these things, you will never stumble.

FATHER, remove the blindness of those who have yet to embrace these Truths and are meant to walk in them!  Let us quickly come into full unity with YOU and each other.  Let not the world that uses the power of suggestion keep us divided by their nefarious narratives but let us shut them out as we are led only by The Holy Spirit.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

11 As a result, the Kingdom’s gates will open wide to you as God choreographs your triumphant entrance into the Eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah.

12 I won’t hesitate to continually remind you of these Truths, even though you are aware of them and are well established in the present measure of Truth you have already embraced. 13 And as long as I live I will continue to awaken you with this reminder,

As The Holy Spirit leads, I too will remind you of these Truths.  Let us walk in unending Love as the fullness of HIS expression.  Passion is a fire from FATHER’S Heart.  Compassion is communicating that Passion.  This is what Jesus did and this is what we are meant to do as well.  We will then display the virtues above which draw men to us.

Peace & Joy Versus Discouragement

June 2nd, 2022

Jesus is the Healer, the Deliverer, the Conqueror, the Life-giver, the One Who cancels debts in whatever form they take.  What is the result?  Peace and abundance!

Jesus spoke in John chapter 10:

7    So Jesus went over it again, “I speak to you eternal Truth: I am the Gate for the flock.

8   All those who broke in before me are thieves who came to steal, but the sheep never listened to them.

9   I am the Gateway. To enter through Me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction.

10  A thief has only one thing in mind— he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!

11  I am the Good Shepherd who lays down My life as a sacrifice for the sheep.

When we are in the flow with Our Lord Jesus Christ, we experience joy which is one of the fruit of THE SPIRIT.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 5:

22   But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is Divine Love in all Its varied expressions:

joy that overflows,

peace that subdues,

patience that endures,

kindness in action,

a life full of virtue,

faith that prevails,

gentleness of heart,

and strength of spirit.

Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

24    Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus, the Anointed One, have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with our self- life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah. 25 We must live in the Holy Spirit and follow after Him.

As you and I fully mature, so will these fruit in our lives.  They will be observable by others who will be drawn to us.

Do not be discouraged by the challenges being presented before you.  Don’t allow yourself to be worn down.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 12:

2   We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because His heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be His, He endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the Right Hand of the Throne of God!

3    So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures.

4    After all, you have not yet reached the point of sweating blood in your opposition to sin. 5 And have you forgotten His encouraging words spoken to you as His children? He said, “My child, don’t underestimate the value of the discipline and training of the Lord God, or get depressed when HE has to correct you. 6 For the Lord’s training of your life is the evidence of His faithful Love. And when He draws you to Himself, it proves you are His delightful child.”

I don’t know about you, but I needed to be refreshed in the above passage!

7   Fully embrace God’s correction as part of your training, for HE is doing what any Loving father does for his children. For who has ever heard of a child who never had to be corrected? 8 We all should welcome God’s discipline as the validation of authentic Sonship. For if we have never once endured HIS correction it only proves we are strangers and not sons.

9   And isn’t it true that we respect our earthly fathers even though they corrected and disciplined us? Then we should demonstrate an even greater respect for God, our Spiritual Father, as we submit to HIS life-giving discipline. 10 Our parents corrected us for the short time of our childhood as it seemed good to them. But God corrects us throughout our lives for our own good, giving us an invitation to share HIS Holiness.

11   Now all discipline seems to be more pain than pleasure at the time, yet later it will produce a transformation of character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who yield to it.

Let us be of good courage and not allow the adversary to wear us down to the point where we are ready to give up.  All this reveals is that we are getting close to full maturity and the god of this world is worried and desperate.  Once you know what he is doing, simply laugh and say “Is this all you got?”

FATHER!

June 1st, 2022

Is the fear of THE LORD operating in your life yet?  The following Psalm provides us a small sampling of FATHER’S Majesty.

King David wrote by The Holy Spirit in Psalms chapter 29:

1   King David’s poetic praise to God for the last days The Feast of Tabernacles:

Proclaim His majesty, all you mighty champions, you Sons of Almighty God,

2   Be in awe before His majesty. Be in awe before such power and might! Come worship wonderful Yahweh, arrayed in all HIS splendor, bowing in worship as He appears in all his Holy beauty. Give Him the honor due His name. Worship Him wearing the glory-garments of your Holy, priestly calling!

3   The voice of the Lord echoes through the skies and seas. The Glory-God reigns as He thunders in the clouds. So powerful is His voice, so brilliant and bright, how majestic as He thunders over the great waters!

5    His tympanic thunder topples the strongest of trees. His symphonic sound splinters the mighty forests.

6    Now He moves Zion’s mountains by the might of His voice, shaking the snowy peaks with His earsplitting sound!

7   The lightning-fire flashes, striking as He speaks.

8   God reveals Himself when He makes the fault lines quake, shaking deserts, speaking His voice.

9    God’s mighty Voice makes the deer to give birth. His thunderbolt Voice lays the forest bare. In His temple all fall before Him with each one shouting, “Glory, glory, the God of glory!”

10    Above the furious flood, the Enthroned One reigns, the King-God rules with eternity at His side.

11   This is the One Who gives His strength and might to His people. This is the Lord giving us His kiss of peace.  TPT

FATHER does not joke around for every Word He speaks will come to pass.  As we mature, our relationship with FATHER changes our interaction with HIM.  Most immature believers address HIM as God.  Later, they began using the term Lord.

John wrote by The Holy Spirit in Revelations chapter 4:

8   Each of the four living creatures had six wings, full of eyes all around and under their wings. They worshiped without ceasing, day and night, singing, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty! The Was, the Is, and the Coming!”

Those creatures who are not HIS Sons address HIM as LORD GOD ALMIGHTY for there is only ONE WHO qualifies for this Name!

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Genesis chapter 17:

1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Serve Me faithfully and live a blameless life. 2 I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.”

3 At this, Abram fell face down on the ground. Then God said to him, 4 “This is My covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations! 5 What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations. 6 I will make you extremely fruitful. Your descendants will become many nations, and kings will be among them!

7 “I will confirm My covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever, and I will be their God.”

9 Then God said to Abraham, “Your responsibility is to obey the terms of the covenant. You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility. 10 This is the covenant that you and your descendants must keep: Each male among you must be circumcised.

FATHER went on to provide details.  Our Covenant is superior since It is sealed with the Blood of Jesus Christ.  Our hearts are to be circumcised with Agape Love hence this is why I titled my first book “The Circumcised Heart of Love”.

GOD is Love and so are all HIS Sons and Daughters who have accepted the directive to walk in THEIR Image.  FATHER’S Divine Intent continuously points to the Covenant HE established with us to bless and prosper everything we set our hand to, whether it be thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold.  We have a responsibility to be active rather than passive.  Jesus did not sit around in Jerusalem and wait for people to come to Him.  He went to the highways and byways to minister the Good News.  Let us follow His example and glorify Our Lord God Almighty.

A fully mature Son or Daughter will address HIM as FATHER!  This denotes the level of relationship we have matured into as we walk according to Agape Love.

Overflowing Love

May 31st, 2022

Is Agape Love overflowing in you yet?

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 3:

14   So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, 15    the perfect Father of every father and child in Heaven and on the earth. 16   And I pray that HE would unveil within you the unlimited riches of HIS glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with HIS Divine might and explosive power.

I too pray that HE unveil the unlimited riches of HIS glory and favor in each person who reads these words.  We should expect supernatural strength to flood our spirits with BOTH Divine might and explosive power.  This supernatural strength will not allow any weakness, disease, or sickness to persist.  HIS righteousness will cancel all debts which were yet to be dealt with in our lives.

17   Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His Love will become the very source and root of your life.

As I have written in the past, we already have deposited in us the necessary aspects of walking in THE SPIRIT and only need to have them released as mentioned above.  This resting place of HIS Agape Love will spring forth into abundant fruit so that others will partake of His Love through you and me.

18   Then you will be empowered to discover what every Holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing Love of Christ in all Its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His Love! How enduring and inclusive It is! Endless Love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant Love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

Expect to be empowered to experience this astonishing Love of Jesus Christ.  The dimensions of His Love are beyond our ability to comprehend yet we will experience them and attempt to understand them.  This multidimensional Love will flow through us without any limitation so we can continuously minister to those around us.

20   Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. HE will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! HE will outdo them all, for HIS miraculous power constantly energizes you.

Have faith and doubt not!  Expect the unexpected as Agape Love pours out of you toward others and produces such extravagant fruit that is beyond man’s comprehension.  Expect to be energized to the point of constant, consistent ministry throughout each day.  We are not called to sit on the sideline as passive observers.  We are expected to grow into full maturity and take on the accountability as seasoned Sons and Daughters of THE MOST HIGH.

21   Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!

I say Amen! As well.

Accepting Accountability

May 30th, 2022

When you are chosen, you become accountable.  Are you willing to be truly accountable to Our Heavenly Father?

Spiritually mature Sons and Daughters accept full accountability for their words and actions.  Validation is no longer required as we are now cooperating with FATHER’S Divine Intent.

Are you in the way or on the way with Jesus to complete your mission given to you before you were formed in the womb?

Jesus spoke in Matthew chapter 22:

2   Jesus illustrated the reality of Heaven’s Kingdom realm by saying, “There once was a king who arranged an extravagant wedding feast for His Son. 3    On the day the festivities were set to begin, HE sent His servants to summon all the invited guests, but they chose not to come. 4 So the king sent even more servants to inform the invited guests, saying, ‘Come, for the sumptuous feast is now ready! The oxen and fattened cattle have been killed and everything is prepared, so come! Come to the wedding feast for My Son and His Bride!’

The King is directing us to come and be a part of His feast of blessing.

5   “But the invited guests were not impressed. One was preoccupied with his business; another went off to his farming enterprise. 6   And the rest seized the king’s messengers and shamefully mistreated them, and even killed them. 7   This infuriated the king! So he sent his soldiers to execute those murderers and had their city burned to the ground.

Those who are either preoccupied with the world system or are critical of those walking and being led by The Holy Spirit are subject to severe judgment.  Those of us who are being led by THE SPIRIT will be observers of such judgment.  The states and jurisdictions who continue to promote abortion and other such unrighteousness will experience the brunt of judgment soon.

8    “Then the king said to His servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, yet those who had been invited to attend didn’t deserve the honor. 9    Now I want you to go into the streets and alleyways and invite anyone and everyone you find to come and enjoy the wedding feast in honor of My Son.’  10   “So the servants went out into the city streets and invited everyone to come to the wedding feast, good and bad alike, until the banquet hall was crammed with people!  11   Now, when the king entered the banquet hall, He looked with glee over all His guests. But then He noticed a guest who was not wearing the wedding robe provided for Him. 12   So He said, ‘My friend, how is it that you’re here and you’re not wearing your wedding garment?’ But the man was speechless. 13   “Then the king turned to His servants and said, ‘Tie him up and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be great sorrow, with weeping and grinding of teeth.’ 14  For everyone is invited to enter in, but few respond in excellence.”

Many are called but few are chosen.  Why?  Those who are not wearing a robe of righteousness are disqualified from the feast and will suffer notable judgment.  Our Elder Brother wore a robe of righteousness and we are meant to follow in His footsteps here on earth.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Isaiah chapter 61:

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,

My soul shall be joyful in my God;

For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

FATHER covers those who have accepted their full calling and its accountability with a robe of righteousness.  This robe is also as a breastplate which covers and protects the heart.  Are you ready to accept full accountability?

Resist The Fear!

May 29th, 2022

Fear of failure is what every believer must overcome.

Your steps are ordered by Our Heavenly Father as you pursue Spiritual maturity and are led by The Holy Spirit.

It is written by The Holy Spirit in Psalm chapter 37:

23   The steps of the God-pursuing ones follow firmly in the footsteps of the Lord, and God delights in every step they take to follow him.

FATHER will not necessarily remove all obstacles but HE will show you the way to deal with them.  Adversity brings growth so don’t shy away from issues but instead confront them as The Holy Spirit leads you.  After all, we currently live in a broken world.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

5    Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. 6   For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

It is easy to determine those who live according to The Spirit of Love versus those who pursue selfish benefits.  There are those who put on a front to lead you to believe righteous intent but for the purpose of to control and/or manipulate you once you let your guard down.  The Holy Spirit will reveal their intent.

7   In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to His direction, because it cannot! 8   For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh.

A soulish person has no clue concerning what direction they should be taking since they are blinded.  They don’t know what they don’t know!

9    But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of Him. 10   Now Christ lives His life in you! And even though your body may be dead because of the effects of sin, His life-giving Spirit imparts life to you because you are fully accepted by God.

Can you fathom what this means?  Christ is living in us so don’t let anything prevent Him from being expressed to others.  Put your soul and flesh into total submission to HIS Divine Intent which is inside you.  Every one of us are important.

We each have a gift needful for the bringing forth of The Kingdom.  Let your gift come forth and produce the fruit FATHER intended.  Do not be afraid of failure!

Who We Are

May 28th, 2022

What you do is because of who you are.

John wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st John chapter 5:

1   Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah is God’s spiritual child and has been fathered by God himself. And everyone who Loves Father God Loves His children as well.

2  This is how we can be sure that we Love the children of God: by having a passionate Love for God and by obedience to His commands.  3 True Love for God means obeying His commands, and His commands don’t weigh us down as heavy burdens.  4   You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world.

5 So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

You and I are intended to defeat every aspect of the world thus we are not to be passive and sit around doing nothing.  We are the Divine expressions, the images, of Our Heavenly Father on earth.  As we shed all the worldliness and allow the Agape Love to come into full light, we will be the light-bearers intended by FATHER when HE formed us in the wombs.

Do not belittle yourself!  No longer think of yourself as a victim but rather think of yourself as a victorious warrior in Christ!  The key is Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Colossians chapter 1:

27  Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a Heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!

We need to move this hope inside to full manifestation here on earth.  This is where that hope is needed.  Once you and I get to Heaven, the riches will be all around and there is no further need to access them for the purpose of our callings here on earth.  This is where the action is!

We have the opportunity to express Agape Love throughout the day… every day!  That is called Love in action, not inaction.  No matter what our current state, expressing Love will dissolve those temporary issues around us.  They will cease to be overwhelming and will lose their impact on us.  The adversary wants to keep our attention diverted away from Jesus Christ.

28  Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of Truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being His perfect one in Jesus Christ.

The time is now for us to walk daily as being His perfect ones in Jesus Christ!  Why do we do this?  It is because of who we are!

Glorify Father Above All

May 26th, 2022

Are you devaluing what GOD has done in your life?  Do you walk in the Fear of THE LORD or have you become lukewarm and moved your focus to the temporary?  What are your priorities today?  What were they yesterday?  (Don’t shoot the messenger.)

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

21Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor Him as God or even be thankful for His kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like.  This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.

How do you honor Him as GOD?  You magnify HIM above all else, you glorify HIM!  You exalt HIS Word above ALL ELSE and you are not reluctant to share HIS Truths with others.  Who cares if you are attacked, belittled, or blown off?  I don’t for I am laying up treasures in Heaven.  I must ask myself each morning, “What should I do today on behalf of Jesus Christ and my calling?”

What are you magnifying in your life?  Are you magnifying sickness or disease over the Healing power of GOD?  Did Jesus ever succumb to sickness or disease in His earthly ministry?  No, He showed the world the superiority of GOD over ALL sickness and disease.  Death could not prevail either.

Are you constantly focused on the temporary at the expense of the permanent?  Have you forgotten what FATHER has done in the past for you?  He delivered me from certain death at least five times in the past.  Who do you think I am going to align myself with?

“Pressure is a privilege.”  Without any pressure, you really don’t know how mature you really are for your character is not being challenged.  We are meant to confront challenges rather than run away from them.  Jesus was confronted frequently and He did not cower down but instead glorified Our Heavenly Father.

The Beloved Disciple recorded in John chapter 11:

1-2   In the village of Bethany there was a man named Lazarus, and his sisters, Mary and Martha. Mary was the one who would anoint Jesus’ feet with costly perfume and dry his feet with her long hair. One day Lazarus became very sick to the point of death.

3   So his sisters sent a message to Jesus, “Lord, our brother Lazarus, the one you Love, is very sick. Please come!” 4   When He heard this, he said, “This sickness will not end in death for Lazarus, but will bring glory and praise to God. This will reveal the greatness of the Son of God by what takes place.”

5    Now even though Jesus loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, He remained where He was for two more days. 7   Finally, on the third day, He said to His disciples, “Come. It’s time to go to Bethany.”  8   “But Teacher,” they said to Him, “do You really want to go back there? It was just a short time ago the people of Judea were going to stone You!”

Was Jesus reluctant to return to Bethany?  Absolutely not!  He knew that He was fully led by The Holy Spirit to bring glory and praise to GOD.

9   Jesus replied, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight in every day? You can go through a day without the fear of stumbling when you walk in the One who gives light to the world. But you will stumble when the light is not in you, for you’ll be walking in the dark.”

Jesus reveals a crucial Truth here when He said “You can go through a day without the fear of stumbling when you walk in the One who gives light to the world.”  We need to keep this Truth at the forefront.

11   Then Jesus added, “Lazarus, our friend, has just fallen asleep. It’s time that I go and awaken him.” 12   When they heard this, the disciples replied, “Lord, if he has just fallen asleep, then he’ll get better.” 13   Jesus was speaking about Lazarus’ death, but the disciples presumed he was talking about natural sleep. 14   Then Jesus made it plain to them, “Lazarus is dead. 15   And for your sake, I’m glad I wasn’t there, because now you have another opportunity to see who I am so that you will learn to trust in Me. Come, let’s go and see him.”

We need to trust in Jesus and His Words to us.  His Words glorify Our Heavenly Father without exception.  We too are called to magnify Our Heavenly Father in our daily walk.

16   So Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, remarked to the other disciples, “Let’s go so that we can die with him.”  17    Now when they arrived at Bethany, which was only about two miles from Jerusalem, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

The Jews believed that by the fourth day, a man’s spirit had totally departed.  Jesus dispelled that notion.

19   Many friends of Mary and Martha had come from the region to console them over the loss of their brother.  20 And when Martha heard that Jesus was approaching the village, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed in the house. 21   Martha said to Jesus, “My Lord, if only you had come sooner, my brother wouldn’t have died. 22    But I know that if you were to ask God for anything, He would do it for you.” 23    Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise and live.”

Martha was partially there in glorifying GOD.  However, she was not convinced that the resurrection power could immediately return Lazarus to life.  She deferred to the future but Jesus lives in the “now”.

24    She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.”  25    “Martha,” Jesus said, “You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever.  26   And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27   Then Martha replied, “Yes, Lord, I do! I’ve always believed that you are the Anointed One, the Son of God Who has come into the world for us!”

34    Jesus said to them, “Where did you bury him?” “Lord, come with us and we’ll show you,” they replied. 35   Then tears streamed down Jesus’ face. 36   Seeing Jesus weep caused many of the mourners to say, “Look how much He loved Lazarus.” 37   Yet others said, “Isn’t this the One who opens blind eyes? Why didn’t He do something to keep Lazarus from dying?” 38    Then Jesus, with intense emotions, came to the tomb— a cave with a stone placed over its entrance. 39   Jesus told them, “Roll away the stone.” Then Martha said, “But Lord, it’s been four days since he died—by now his body is already decomposing!” 40    Jesus looked at her and said, “Didn’t I tell you that if you will believe in Me, you will see God unveil HIS power?”

Jesus continues to show the people FATHER’S Glory.  He did not allow death to devalue FATHER’S Glory.

41   So they rolled away the heavy stone. Jesus gazed into Heaven and said, “Father, thank You that You have heard My prayer, 42   for You listen to every word I speak. Now, so that these who stand here with Me will believe that You have sent Me to the earth as Your messenger, I will use the power You have given Me.” 43    Then with a loud voice Jesus shouted with authority: “Lazarus! Come out of the tomb!” 44  Then in front of everyone, Lazarus, who had died four days earlier, slowly hobbled out—he still had grave clothes tightly wrapped around his hands and feet and covering his face! Jesus said to them, “Unwrap him and let him loose.”

Jesus consistently glorified Our Heavenly Father in all His Words and actions.  He continually confirmed the power and authority from Heaven which supersedes everything on this earth.  This is Who we should be glorifying in our daily walk.  Don’t let the temporary devalue FATHER’s glory in any way!
