It is critical that we improve our spiritual hearing this year!

Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 2:

8  And immediately Jesus, perceiving in His spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts?

9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’?

10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”-He said to the paralytic-

11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”

12 And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

And in Luke chapter 5:

22  When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts?

23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”-He said to the man who was paralyzed-“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.”

We have the same ability as Jesus to hear and perceive in our hearts.  Remember, He was the son of man when He recorded this event.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 5:

19  So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

20 For the Father Loves the Son and shows Him all that He Himself is doing. And greater works than these will He show Him, so that you may marvel.

21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives them Life, so also the Son gives Life to whom He will.

FATHER gave word pictures to Jesus and HE will do the same for us.  We are to utilize our righteous imaginations which line up with The Word.

Coincidence is the language of The Spirit.

Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 10:

30  Jesus replied and said, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he encountered robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went away leaving him half dead.

31 And by coincidence a priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 Likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

33 But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,

34 and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 On the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.’

36 Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?”

37 And he said, “The one who showed compassion to him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do the same.”  NASB

The word coincidence used here is what occurs together by GOD’s providential arrangement of circumstances.

Not everything means something, but some things mean more than you think.  In the mid 1990’s, I was busy writing a program in my office and suddenly the anointing came upon me.  FATHER immediately spoke and said, “Look at the clock.”  It was exactly 1:11:11 PM.  HE then said, “ I bring My anointing exactly at a time I choose.”  That was it.  Since then, I pay close attention to the number “11111” and have seen it several times.

Then there are unusual circumstances such as a burning bush that isn’t consumed.  FATHER also speaks through nature.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 1:

20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible Qualities-His Eternal power and Divine Nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.  NLT

David recorded by THE SPIRIT in Psalm 19:

1  The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship.

2 Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known.

3 They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.

4 Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.  NLT

Dreams are parables at night.  Kings would seek out interpretations of dreams which is what happened in Joseph’s rise to preeminence in Egypt.  If you want to have more dreams, honor the dreams you are currently having.  Write them down.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Hebrews chapter 5:

14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.  ESV

We can train our senses to discern between good and evil.  We must become more sensitive to what is going on around us.  If you walk into a situation where you perceive anger, you should take spiritual authority over the situation.  The Holy Spirit is warning you.

When my wife perceives the presence of Jesus, she smells roses.  This has occurred many times over the years.

Don’t be heavily influenced by outward appearance.  When I was in banking, we had a customer who would come to the bank and smelled bad.  He wore old clothes and was unshaven.  He drove an old 1950’s pickup.  People stared at him and did not look forward to being in the elevator with him.  I found out that he was worth over $20 million.  Looks may be deceiving.

Jesus spoke in John chapter 14:

26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

He will have you go into situations where He is the only Comfort.  Your circumstances will not be comfortable.  Right now, you are sowing the seeds of your next breakthrough or your next disappointment.  Paying attention to The Holy Spirit, your hearing or lack thereof will determine which one you will experience.

Wisdom reminds us in Proverbs chapter 7:

24 Now therefore, listen to Me, my children; Pay attention to the Words of My Mouth

Do you seek a relationship with FATHER out of desire or out of duty?

If you seek a relationship with FATHER out of desire, you will intently seek to hear HIS Voice.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1:

13  In Him you also, when you heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

14 Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory.

When we received salvation, we heard!  When we received the baptism of The Holy Spirit, again, we heard!

Wisdom recorded in Proverbs chapter 27:

7 One who is full loathes honey, but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet.  ESV

How hungry are you to hear FATHER speak?  To those of us who are truly hungry, we will even seek out what is viewed as “bitter” in order to hear FATHER.

Jesus spoke the parable of the soils (aka hearts) in Mark chapter 4:

20 But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear The Word and accept It and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”

How do we bear greater fruit?  Jesus interprets the difference between thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold. 

21  And Jesus said to them, “Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

22 For nothing is hidden except to be made manifest; nor is anything secret except to come to light.

23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.“

24 And He said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.

25 For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

The value you place on GOD speaking is the measure that you will hear!  Are you desperate to hear better?  I am… whatever it takes.

Wisdom wrote in Proverbs chapter 25:

2 It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings (Royal Sons and Daughters) is to search things out.

God conceals the revelation of His Word in the hiding place of His glory.  We are meant to thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.

FATHER hides things for you, HE doesn’t hide things from you!

Have you had a check in your spirit?

Luke recorded by The Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 16:

6  And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the Word in Asia.

7 And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas.

9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” [10] And when Paul had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go on into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the Gospel to them.

Paul was checked by The Holy Spirit twice about where he was to go.

The Scriptures are the basis for all hearing from GOD.  Anything you are hearing must line up with The Word.  If you don’t know The Word, you cannot be sure you are hearing it correctly.

Peter wrote by The Holy Spirit in 2^nd Peter chapter 1:

19  And we have the prophetic Word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.

21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Our sanctified desires can reveal the Will of GOD.

Jesus spoke in Mark chapter 11:

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

When you are in FATHER’S Presence, HE will shape your desires based on your individual calling.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1:

17  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

You should expect the eyes of your understanding be enlightened.  As they are, you will become more sensitive in hearing FATHER.

Acts 26:17-18 NKJV

I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, [18] to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Jesus spoke in John chapter 8:

43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear My Word.

Jesus also spoke in Revelation chapter 2:

7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’

We are encouraged to hear AND respond without delay.  However, it will take commitment to develop this level of hearing.  Be still, remove distractions, and expect to hear FATHER in whatever manner HE can get through to you.  Write down what you hear in your spirit.

Spiritual intuition trumps logic every time.

It is written by THE SPIRIT in Nehemiah chapter 7:

5 Then My God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:

You will be preoccupied with the harpazo if you don’t “occupy”!

This is not the year to be passive.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 6:

10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

In other words, be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The fruit of unrighteous men is to produce wicked, unrighteous results.  Are we to hide the Truth under a bushel?  Are we to be preoccupied with departing this earth?  Shouldn’t we “occupy” until that day that no man knows when the harpazo will happen?  Shouldn’t we act as though it will be any year but this year?

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

How can you know the Truth if you don’t see or hear because you have removed yourself from society?  Paul confronted those who were spreading lies of the devil.

There is a global attempt to enslave all of us by the “elite”.  Their obsession with money and power is behind their words and actions.  We must put on the WHOLE armor of GOD to withstand their attempts to keep us under subjection.

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace;

16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God;

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-

I view praying daily in The Holy Spirit as being critical to protecting me from the wiles of the devil.  Though renewing your mind daily might be emotionally challenging some days, it is vital that we keep The Word as our mind’s priority.

19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel,

20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And Paul also wrote in 2^nd Corinthians chapter 5:

20  Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

An ambassador is the chief representative to a foreign country or jurisdiction.  Would Jesus send an immature believer to represent Him as an ambassador?  To be an ambassador, you must be a mature, active believer.  You will be known by your fruit and are to righteously represent Our Lord Jesus Christ.  Are you ready to occupy till He comes?

Your spirit is the part of you that contacts The Lord!

The first real healing and restoration is the healing of our spirit.  If our spirit is out of harmony and out of shape, can we expect to be healed?  We must adjust our life to be in harmony with HIM.  How?  To be led by The Holy Spirit in all areas.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Romans chapter 8:

8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Faith is a product of your spirit, not of your intellect.  Your intellect does not produce faith.  Your knowledge may give you grounds for faith, but faith is resident in your spirit.  If faith was due to intellect, then only the brightest would be healed.  You don’t need a PhD behind your name for healing to come.  If anything, it can be a hindrance to your healing.  A strong mind challenges a weak spirit.

Jesus spoke by THE SPIRIT in Matthew chapter 18:

1  At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus, “Who is considered to be the greatest in Heaven’s Kingdom realm?”

2 Jesus called a little one (child) to His side and said to them,

3 “Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable like a little child, you will never be able to enter in.

4 Whoever continually humbles himself to become like this little child is the greatest one in Heaven’s Kingdom realm.

When you see yourself as an expert, you will tend to limit your willingness to change.  You are not as open to greater revelation that can be spoken by a person who is being led by The Holy Spirit… no matter how young.

5 And if you tenderly care for this little one on my behalf, you are tenderly caring for me.

6 But if anyone abuses one of these little ones who believes in Me, it would be better for him to have a heavy boulder tied around his neck and be hurled into the deepest sea than to face the punishment he deserves!  TPT

What is the opposite of promoting abuse?  It is promoting righteousness and life.  Our assistance to kids in need promotes life, Love, hope, and faith.  It also encourages the teachers who have become instruments of hope.

Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Galatians chapter 5:

22  But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is:

Divine Love in all its varied expressions:

joy that overflows,

peace that subdues,

patience that endures,

kindness in action,

a life full of virtue,

faith that prevails,

gentleness of heart,

and strength of spirit.

Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

24  And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not become conceited (or arrogant), provoking one another, envying one another.

In other Words, if The Spirit is the Source of our life, we must also allow The Spirit to direct every aspect of our lives.

Faith is a fruit of The Holy Spirit, not soulish intellect.

Paul also wrote in Hebrews chapter 11:

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that He is real and that He rewards the faith of those who passionately seek Him.

As we hear and respond to The Word, whether spoken or written, we will move into harmony with FATHER.  This will result in authority and power becoming manifest in our lives.
