Time Of Communion

March 4, 2024 – 4:42 am
How often should we take communion? Jesus spoke in John 6: 26  Jesus answered them and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting Life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His Seal on Him." 28 Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" 29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him Whom He sent." 30 Therefore they said to Him, "What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, 'He gave ...

Identify The Leaven

March 3, 2024 – 4:32 am
We must identify the “leaven” impacting The Body of Christ! Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Timothy chapter 4: 1  The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed: At the end of this age, many will depart from the True faith one after another, devoting themselves to spirits of deception and following demon-inspired revelations and theories. 2 Hypocritical liars will deceive many, and their consciences won’t bother them at all! 3 They will require celibacy and dietary restrictions that GOD doesn’t expect, for HE created all foods to be received with the celebration of faith by those who fully know the Truth. 4 We know that all creation is beautiful to GOD and there is nothing to be refused if it is received with gratitude. 5 All that we eat is made Sacred by the Word of God and prayer. My wife and I pray over our meal no matter where we are at… in public and ...

Beware Of The Leaven

March 2, 2024 – 4:41 am
We are warned concerning “leaven” among us! Jesus spoke concerning His Body in Luke chapter 22: 19 And He took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My Body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me." His Body was sinless and was it not puffed up as leavened bread is. Moses recorded by THE SPIRIT in Exodus chapter 12: 39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt, for it was not leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves. Leaven causes dough to rise, but the process takes time. The Israelites, when God freed them from captivity in Egypt, had no time to spare, so, in their haste, they baked and ate flat (unleavened) bread for their journey, And in Exodus 12: 15 ...

Another Kids In Need Update

March 1, 2024 – 3:03 am
The admin team at the high school was meeting today and the counselors said that we had a new kid start school this week and he's worn the same sweatshirt every day.  When the counselor asked him how he and his family were doing he said,"it's hard.  I have several brothers and sisters and we don't have any money.  I saw him in the hallway later in the morning and asked him if he would come see me (he thought he was in trouble).  I told him I just wanted to talk to him.  He came by at lunch and I gave him a gift card.  He took it and I said,"it's a $50 gift card."  He looked up with a huge smile and with an elevated voice said,"REALLY!!!"  I said,"yes!  Use it and go get another sweatshirt or whatever you need!"  He said, "thanks" 3 different times and left ...

Jesus speaks On Treasures

February 29, 2024 – 1:11 am
What treasures retain value? Jesus Himself spoke concerning treasures in Matthew chapter 6: 19  “Don’t keep hoarding for yourselves earthly treasures that can be stolen by thieves. Material wealth eventually rusts, decays, and loses its value. 20 Instead, stockpile Heavenly treasures for yourselves that cannot be stolen and will never rust, decay, or lose their value. Jesus spoke many times about money and what we should do with money.  He strongly warned us of greed and hoarding.  This may be one of the most sensitive subjects for people to deal with since it affects many aspects of our life.  At the root of hoarding is fear of the unknown and the fear of the future. Jesus tells us where our heart is based on our actions: 21 For your heart will always pursue what you esteem as your treasure. Your fruit will give you away as to what is in your heart.  Your “checkbook” (i.e. financial transactions) will ...

Another Kids In Need Update

February 28, 2024 – 3:58 am
From one of the principals: 2 weeks ago I brought an upperclassman student to my office who was in trouble.  He started crying telling me that his mom's car broke down and she got laid off from work.  He said he's working but still doesn't have any money.  He said his mom's birthday was the day before and he didn't have enough money to get her a birthday cake.  I gave him a few gift cards that were donated and he started crying again.  He stood up in my office and said,"can I hug you?"  I hugged him and told him to take the cards and get what his family needed.  I told him to let me know if he needed help in the future.  He left the office but not before he gave Mr. Jewell a hug too. As you can see, our giving is impacting the hearts of those kids ...

Unreliable Riches

February 27, 2024 – 2:08 am
What treasures are we to be focused on? Our current stewardship is directly related to our future rewards. Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in 1st Timothy chapter 6: 17  To all the rich of this world, I command you not to be wrapped in thoughts of pride over your prosperity, or rely on your wealth, for your riches are unreliable and nothing compared to the Living God. Trust instead in the One who lavishes upon us all good things, fulfilling our every need. 18 Remind the wealthy to be rich in remarkable works of extravagant generosity, willing to share with others. 19 These Spiritual investments will provide a beautiful foundation for their lives and secure for them a great future, as they lay their hands upon the meaning of true Life. There was a certain man who at one time was worth $250 million.  He lived in a mansion and had a summer home on ...

Short Term Or Long Term

February 26, 2024 – 4:24 am
Are you focused on the long term or short term! What will you give up for the short term so that you can enjoy the long term? The U.S. society overwhelming lives on credit.  In fact, the total credit card debt in this country is now at a record $1.13 trillion.  Why?  The media has convinced most that buy now, pay later is a desirable path to take.  As I have said in the past, the term “mortgage” means death grip. Short-term thinking sacrifices your future wellbeing, and possibly your Eternal reward. Paul wrote by The Holy Spirit in Ephesians chapter 1: 7  Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by His Blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of His grace. 8 This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of Wisdom and practical understanding. 9 And through the revelation ...

Our Faith In Him

February 25, 2024 – 1:11 am
Your faith has made you well! Mark recorded by The Holy Spirit in Mark 5: 22  Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing Jesus, he fell at His feet 23 and implored Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well and live." 24 And He went with him. And a great crowd followed Him and thronged about Him. Jairus’ name means “whom GOD enlightens”.  How appropriate!  Notice that this Jewish official was desperate for his daughter to be healed so he was not interested in challenging Jesus as did the other officials.  This was serious! After healing both the woman with the issue of blood and healing the blind man: 35  While He was still speaking, there came from the ruler's house some who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the ...

Faith In Communion

February 24, 2024 – 4:16 am
Your faith has made you well! The manner in which we partake of communion determines the outcome.  If we take communion in faith, we are expecting the intended result of Life and Its attributes of strength, health, and wholeness. Jesus spoke in John chapter 10: 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life(zōē) and have it abundantly. The word zōē means: Life of the absolute fulness of Life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through Him both to the distinct Essence of the Trinity expressed in the "Logos of The Word" and to Christ in Whom the "Logos" put on human nature; Life real and genuine, a Life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among ...
