John wrote by THE SPIRIT in the Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapter 21:
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Our reward is tied to us being overcomers in this world. Those who are of good courage and believing in FATHER’S promises will not be moved by the circumstances before them. Each of us has had our own challenges as of late. We must not get discouraged by what appears to be a delay in bringing forth the fullness of the Age of Tabernacles. FATHER’S Love has the only accurate timetable and those in ministry might find their time better spent preparing those who have a deep desire to be included with the overcomers or elect. Spending an inordinate amount of time on prophecy and future predictions simply robs our focus in the area of personal spiritual maturity and growth.
If we fixate on a particular future date with the expectation that FATHER will do something global to show the world who HE is then we are no longer living each day by faith. Many are simply waiting on the date to arrive. Let us not be found doing nothing but let us instead continually press in so we are in full communion with FATHER. I find many prophecy teachers never seem to reconcile their past failures but instead rationalize why the expected event did not happen. One TV prophecy teacher has been consistently wrong over the last 30 years yet he is still being watched by those who hope he is finally correct this time.
As aspiring overcomers we should focus on what is in front of us now rather than what “will be”. FATHER will position each of us at the appropriate place and time thus we do not need to place our focus on things we cannot affect. In the parable of the ten virgins Jesus provided us with a directive to keep our lamps trimmed. In Matthew chapter 25 He spoke:
1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’
7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’
12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Being led by The Holy Spirit is not something you can simply give to someone else. Each of us must seek to be “full” of the Holy Spirit in our individual walks. The wise virgins kept themselves in a state of being fully prepared for the return of Christ whereas the foolish virgins allowed their “oil” to go dry. The overcomer will continue on the path to maturity no matter how long it takes and will not be moved when target dates come and go. Living a life of unconditional Love and faith is better than any other path mankind can offer for it has its own rewards. Let us simply go about doing good as Our Lord Jesus Christ did and when the time comes for FATHER to evoke a major change our lamps will be fully trimmed and we will be acceptable in HIS Sight.
